Clebsch GM Wrath of the Righteous Adventure Path

Game Master Clebsch73

The Sword of Valor relic reclaimed and the demonic forces on the defensive, Queen Galfrey orders six heroes of Drezen to explore the Worldwound near the citadel for pockets of resistance and information on what the demons may be planning.

Hmmm interesting a skill monkey works

Alright. More healing it is then. Will have to clear it with my current WotR GM, but how are we expected to join the party? Is there any set method through which they would have gained Mythic Tiers? That might change what character I come up with, and/or modify.

Dark Archive

Rolls:
4d6 - 3 ⇒ (5, 3, 6, 6) - 3 = 17
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (6, 1, 3, 3) - 1 = 12
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (1, 4, 6, 5) - 1 = 15
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (6, 1, 3, 4) - 1 = 13
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 6) - 2 = 12
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (6, 6, 4, 1) - 1 = 16

12, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17

Will be working on something. Not decided yet.

4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 4, 4) = 15 12
4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 5) = 17 14
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 6) = 14 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 4, 4) = 16 14
4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 2, 5) = 14 12
4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 1) = 13 11
What are these mediocre rolls?! The original recruitment said "or 15 point buy" I believe, so I guess I'll have to go with that.

I’m the paladin in the game and someone that could pump out some damage certainly wouldn’t hurt either. This is my first mythic game and while I’m a good damage soak, my damage output is lacking a bit!

Would a healer be needed, or do you have that covered between Paladin and Shaman? I'd need to clear it with my current WotR GM, though, but the level difference is far enough that it might be feasible.

As a shaman, Nona can prepare cure spells, but she doesn't have the channel energy ability nor can she convert her spells to healing as a cleric can. So if she has the primary healing duties, she'll have to devote a lot of spell slots to that and not to buffs and offense.

In the mythic area, her path is a dual path of Marshal and Hierophant. Someone to be a full time Hierophant mythic type would probably be good.

I've got a mythic Magus (Bladebound/Kensai) idea I've been wanting to try out. I think I'll give that a go.

4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 1, 6) = 15 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 6) = 13 12
4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 4, 3) = 15 13
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 1, 4) = 12 11
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6, 2) = 15 14
4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 4, 1) = 14 13
Not great, but workable.

HP Rolls:

If I understand this right we roll twice and take the better, with the chance to reroll later if it's under half?

2 2d8 ⇒ (7, 2) = 9 7
3 2d8 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8 5
4 2d8 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3 3 5
5 2d8 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6 4 6 reroll 4: 1d8 ⇒ 5
6 2d8 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9 6 reroll 5: 1d8 ⇒ 1
7 2d8 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9 3 5reroll 5: 1d8 ⇒ 3
8 2d8 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8 6 reroll 5: 1d8 ⇒ 4
9 2d8 ⇒ (6, 5) = 11 3 reroll 5: 1d8 ⇒ 6
10 2d8 ⇒ (5, 8) = 13 6 reroll 7: 1d8 ⇒ 5

I've never done any kind of mythic gaming, but I could potentially think of something...possibly gunslinger but if that isn't allowed I can be a skill monkey via investigator

what's everyone's mythic tiers?

Grand Lodge

Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6, 1) = 1514
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 5, 2) = 1412
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 6, 4) = 1614
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 1, 1) = 65
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 6, 3) = 1412
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 6, 5) = 2318

Okay interesting a 5

I do plan on a pure Hierophant/Cleric, yes.

Dark Archive

I'll be working on a fighter/horizon walker. Should be good enough for damage, specially against the demons.

Grand Lodge

With stats like that I may do a Ratfolk Investigator or Straight rogue. Hmmm

4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 2, 6) = 17=15
4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 5, 5) = 19=15
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 5, 3) = 18=15
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 3, 5) = 19=16
4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 3, 5) = 14=12
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 1, 5) = 14=13
Yeah, I think I'll keep those.

Now what to play? I'm thinking an Aasimar Cavalier...maybe?

I submitted a character for this when it originally started and would like to submit that character again if you are interested in another Paladin

I can re roll stats or use what I did before. I will have to level him up and only other change would be to go Champion path since you are looking for damage. I have been running a Wrath game on here for a few years now. We are in the dungeon of Drezen in book 2.

Dark Archive

I am making a Primalist Abyssal Bloodrager. I should have it ready to go by tomorrow.

Joining the party, possible pitches for being mythic

Agent of Desna:

Requirements, Desna compatible alignment, CG, CN, NG.

TLDR: You won strange Aeons, then suffered some memory loss but gained mythic powers.

You have managed to pull a fast one over one --spoiler redacted--!
While any interface for a mortal with these --spoiler redacted-- of that magnitude should have made you a raving lunatic you came up with a very cunning trick to troll/scare or possibly bamboozle the --spoiler redacted-- back into its weird dimension.
It still drove you semi mad.
Then Desna came, being very pleased she didnt have to deal with the --spoiler redacted-- herself. Pleased enough to take you into her service and deal with your madness, by surgically and quite pleseantly removing the memories of the --spoiler redacted--. As well as of the extremely cunning trick you did to make it bugger off.
You do not have to worship her, she doesnt mind that, or be a religious class, but you have a pretty good relationship with her, and personally talked and even been touched by her. She is very very friendly and quite gregarious to anyone who deals with --spoiler redacteds--.

Desna has a new project about redeeming demons, and one of the demons she thinks are closest to success, having racked up a sizeable demon kill count and having converted to Desna, is currently being besieged by other demons! A crusader party is on its way to also help her, but desna told you to stand ready to get gated in once the auras of forbiddance protecting the heretic demon break.
Doesnt hurt that this Arueshalee is really cute either!

to hell and back:

TLDR: You impressed Dispater enough to count as a worthy enemy. He ransomed you to the mendevian crusade, to turn you into Baphomets and Deskaris problem.

You have been fighting for Ragathiel/Cayden/someone else mostly good aligned against Dispaters forces, only to be faced by the big D himself on a hellish battlefield! Charging straight at him to buy time for your friends to retreat, you managed to land a hit while he was performing a ritual villainous monolouge.
You expected to be curbstomped, and, spoiler, you were, but he also laughed and captured rather then killed you.
But your captivity had been surprisingly benign, a golden cage rather then torture.
Apparently, negotitations for your release with an Empyreal lord named Korada are ongoing, but with mighty prohobitions against you ever raising your blade against Dispater again, and with the aim of adding you to the cause of the Mendevian crusade against the worldwound. You are mythic from the act of striking such a mighty foe.

You are certain that he is in some way trolling Doloras, whom he dislikes, with this stunt, but you do not know for sure.

Nahyndrian elixirs:

You were captured by the alchemist Mustafen, who is seemingly working for the Lilitu Minagho of Raliscrad. You have been experimented on, from Mustafens rantings, he is seeking to reduce the fatility rate of demons trying to gain mythic powers from consuming nahyndrian elixirs. What he came up with was using a powerful enough mortal, you, as a filter, and having a demon drain you. As a result, you were used to make Minagho and several of her cohorts mythic. Somehow you survived for a fair bit, before becoming mythic yourself and spontaneously teleporting out of imprisonment.
You really want to get vengeance on these 2, and joining their enemies seems a great way to do just that!

Feel free to pitch me other ideas!

Gunslingers are allowed, one major NPC frenemy is a mysterious stranger, and he is perhaps training demons in gun usage too.

You will be joining at tier 4, where you will stay for a while longer then in the campaign as written.

Tempted to ask for access to "As Foretold," as I have an Iblydan Cleric on the shelf I've attempted to get into a campaign. Would be able to get mythic tiers 2-4 through any potential source, and if chosen from the list, probably the Desna one. But would need to get ascension back in her home of Iblydos.

If not, I'd likely draft up a more traditional cleric. Probably a Desnan or Ragathiel cleric.

Grand Lodge

Nahyndeian Elixirs would work as the sole survicor of his ratfolk tribe!!!

…I might actually pull in my very first character (not an alias but my first Pathfinder character ever made) as an evoker or universalist wizard/archemage

EDIT: either that or a gunslinger/trickster

Current party is Arcanist, Shaman, Paladin.

ok I’m gonna try to go for a gunslinger/champion. I have one idea that’s bascially a sort of pseudo vigilante type character

Here is KoolKobold's character, will work on the sheet today.

I think I saw above how we roll for HP, roll 2d8, take the highest option, and if both are lower than half reroll?

Grand Lodge

@Lillyashania I am working on N Unchained Rogue Carnivalist Ratfolk Mythic Trickster who was Experimented via Mustafen. Rescued by rats who he works with and trained. The Experiments and his imprisonment has made his muscles weak but he stayed hearty and quick.

He calls himself the Rat King, ans is more comfortable around the rats after the loss of his Ratfolk groups death and the horrible experiments he endured.

Scarab Sages

Hm, are characters still being accepted for consideration?

I'd like to put together an Elven archer Ranger (Tanglebriar Demon Slayer / Transporter archetypes) if so. the character is up in Mendev from Kyonin as a military observer, but maybe needs to join the action given the present circumstances.

yeap!

Here is Sir Longears with my character, a human fighter6/horizon walker 4//champion 4. Ellena mentioned you needed damage, so this is what Uro is good at. Aside from that, he also has great skills as a guide/outdoorsman in the Worldwound and specially in the Abyss.

BTW, which terrain is the Worldwound? A waste (desert) or a part of the Abyss itself?

Still have a couple itens to buy and still have to develop his background and appearance. I usually prefer to do the crunch first so I know all the dots to connect and justify my choices.

@GM Lil: Could you confirm about how are we rolling for HP? If you could be kind enough to take a look on the amount of damage Uro is capable off, I'd like a feedback. If it is too much at this point in the adventure, I can tone it down.

Original ability determination:
Attributes are to be generated using either a 15 point build with no attribute over 18 before racial mods or roll attributes using the following steps: roll 4d6/drop lowest six times, if the results would cost equal to or more than a 15 point buy, those are your attributes to distribute to Strength, Dexterity, etc. If less than 15 point buy, roll one more time and replace the lowest roll with the new roll. Repeat as needed, dropping the lowest result until the six attributes would cost 15 points or more. Rolls must be made in the recruitment board. Preview results and add new rolls as needed, using strike through tags to show results replaced by higher results below. If you start a set of attribute rolls and decide you don’t like the results, you can abandon the attempt and use a 15 point buy.

I think Liliyashanina has been using that as well. I started role playing with 1st edition DnD, so I've got a soft spot for rolling ability scores, something that is generally getting phased out.

Dark Archive

Oh, I got that. Even rolled already. I'm just unsure how we roll for hp.

Saw you rolling 2d8 and doing some re-rolls when below 4(?), but your class is d8.

Do I roll 2d10 and do the same for rolls below 5?

Like this?:
Level 2: 2d10 ⇒ (5, 9) = 14 9
Level 3: 2d10 ⇒ (9, 4) = 13 9
Level 4: 2d10 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6 4
Level 5: 2d10 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7 4
Level 6: 2d10 ⇒ (8, 10) = 18 10
Level 7: 2d10 ⇒ (5, 7) = 12 7
Level 8: 2d10 ⇒ (10, 6) = 16 10
Level 9: 2d10 ⇒ (1, 8) = 9 8
Level 10: 2d10 ⇒ (9, 2) = 11 9

Reroll 1: 2d10 ⇒ (7, 5) = 12 7
Reroll 2: 2d10 ⇒ (2, 8) = 10 8

Total=77

Thats a reasonable way of rolling yeap.

Grand Lodge

I am liking my 5. Going into strength! And gonna build his back up as the backstory will explain it all!!!

I don’t have any particulars in mind, but just to make sure, given the high level start, are templates or monster PCs on the table? I’m guessing not, but it’s worth asking.

Scarab Sages

4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 2, 4) = 12 = 10
4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6, 3) = 15 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 6, 2) = 15 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 5, 3) = 10 = 9
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 1) = 11 = 10
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 4, 6) = 18 = 14

Well that's pretty godawful, an 11 point buy.

4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 3) = 17 = 14

That's a decent fix, a 17 point buy.

Here's the mostly completed Wyneiss. She's primarily an archer ranger, but she can be sort of a pocket melee striker if needed. Her archetypes make her good against demons and able to give party buffs through her altered favored terrain ability.

Her background needs a little more work to include her ascension story, which I'm still thinking about.

I also need to buy most of her gear, but I wasn't sure about wealth. Is is straight WBL that being used?

Finally, I'd appreciate any input regarding problems or mistakes with the build. I think it's largely correct, but I don't have experience with mythic and that plus 10th level means a lot of moving parts to figure out.

A couple of things I'm thinking about related to the conversation about dialing some things down due to mythic being so powerful.

1. With her plot course ability active, Wyniess has an initiative bonus of +13. Is that crazy? I'm not sure what to measure it against in this game. If that's way high, I can replace a trait to lower it by 2.

2. I'm thinking of taking the multishot feat off the table. Archers do fine damage without it, and have an easier time getting full attacks anyway. I'm thinking Wyneiss is more about accuracy than filling the sky with arrows. I think rapid shot will be plenty of arrows per round.

Still drafting up the Iblydan disaster cleric. Won't have time to properly get into her stat sheet until at least Friday, which I hope is okay.

After playing around with some options, I think I'm going to go with an insanely mobile unMonk. I'm not sure what I'll *do* with a boosted speed of ~170, but that's got to be good for *something*. Mythic Weapon Finesse really helps that build, that's for sure.

Terrain wise, the most frequent terrains that are upcoming are wasteland, Urban, dungeon, Abyss.

You may also be in jungles, but these are also abyssal jungles.

No templates or monster PCs, mythic is bonkers enough.

Finished my background and personality, will work on a description of his appearance next.

My mythic ascension was through a very vivid dream where he was visited by Desna. They kissed and spent the night together. Sorak was always devoted to her and loved her (even if everyone made fun of him). For other mythic tasks, he travelled through the Abyss for some time.

I know this could be seen as silly, but I thought it could be cool to have a very simple thing. Please let me know.

The background was written as a scene. I hope you enjoy!

Let me know if there is anything else you'd want for me to do.

Grand Lodge

Still doing the crunch. Though my Ratfolk is Named King a street busker known for his Amazing Rat Ace, which does a unique show gor a few coppers.

King was drawn to the Land of Crusades after a close encounter with a demon cult of Drow in the underdark scared him and his remaining clan to the surface. Marked by the Traveller they wandered until settling in Numeneria.

There he ans his people thrived amongst the many technological wastes. King and many of his group becoming skilled tinkerers and when opportunity arose they became teaders with the various nieghboring kingdoms.

Often King was drawn to go to Memdev. Thier the tribe would hock wares mostly potions and alchemical goods as well as repair services. One day the leader had to divert the group from a Wild Experiment gone awry and into the Lands of the Worldwound.

Here King was captured and due to his potential drained by a villianous Mustafar. His nightmares returned his young toddler years resurfacing as Drow priestesses were going to scarifice him and his siblings to some horrific demon. Now he saw many who came to feed

Strength sapped from him. His limbs taught atrophying from the process. The only thimg that daved him was the promise a purple butterfly made all those many years ago as well as a rat. This rat would become Ace and being freed by his companion, King has lived in and around the city entertaining folks with his show.

When not entertaining he has gone out to help a group or two. Not only keeping spirits up but also as a scout. Part od which je does with trained rats, or at least using Ace to be an intermediary.

The Ratfolk seems to keep to himself as more human races seem a bit alien to him. He knows they are good people, but he also has suffered at the hands of some. Still he also appreciates those he travels with and considers them like family.

His motocations are simple, survive, free those under the yoke of demonic powers, and fulfil the promise to the strange butterfly.

Lastly he beliefs are strange mix of Brigh, The Traveller, and Shelyn. Having a holy symbol for each. Desna the traveller being the most prominent as it is tinted purple silver, Brigh is next, followed by Shelyn last. If pressed he onows he owes much to Desna aka The Traveller who has saved him twice and protected him, next is Brigh whom he owes gratitude and worship with his fascination of traps, locks and clocks. Lastly Shelyn who opened up his heart to the passion of entertaining and the work it comes with.

Quick mechanical additions:

--Elephant in the room rule are on, enjoy!

--If your class is not an int caster, and has 2 skill points per level, it has 4 skill points per level instead. So, Clerics, Fighters, Paladins, Warpriests and some things I probably forget get 4!

Whew! That was a near miss by a freight train! I thought EitR was already in so if it wasn't I'd have a real mess to clean up.

In other news, I'm working on an ascension scenario that involves a servitor of Calistria as the mechanism behind the event. Since that is the case I'll find a feat to drop in favor of Deific Obedience.

And ascension story is finished and added to the profile.

So I didn’t work on anything with my gunslinger today cause I’m still conflicted, but tomorrow I’m gonna try to finish up the crunch and background. Might possibly change class to barbarian cause it’s the fact I have no knowledge in gunslinger that’s making me hesitate.

Level 2: 2d10 ⇒ (7, 5) = 12 = 7

I like your optimism, but you need to subtract the lowest number of each set... this leaves you with 14/14/12/12/11/7 an 11PB.

From the rules, it means you now discard your 7 and roll again. Total your PB and if it is still under 15 repeat this process.

Example:
Previous results: 14/14/12/12/11/7 (11PB)
Substitute 7 for: Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 5, 1) = 16 -1 ⇒ 15

New results: 15/14/14/12/12/11 (20PB)

Alright. With FCBs all going into HP, that's 78 HP. Dice finally did something in my favor for once this time.

oh wait is it roll twice and take the higher result? my Internet/computer is being difficult today so it may not be today that I finish
