Hearing Montesquieu cry out in pain Ursus bounds towards the doorway and makes a flying leap (without the magical haste).
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24
Pulling himself up in one swift motion (fast climb) the Ulfen sees frantic melee going on adjacent.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Faction Shirting =/
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Seeing the broken bodies of his allies sends the Ulfen's transformation into the next level and as he looses another thundering roar his body shifts again. The thick slabs of muscle already covering his frame swell with power and dark dense fur covers the entirety of his head and upper body. The Ulfen, now more beast than man, grabs the blinded birdman.

Hi folks,
I just realized I made a mistake with the garuda. He was not supposed to be able to do quite as much damage as I thought he could do. The upshot of my mistake, is that I am returning Takuma to life, as he would not have been sent to final death had I realized my mistake earlier.
Takuma is therefore still alive and stabilized in his current location at -2 hp.
Again, my apologies.

I don't suppose this would in any way keep Aquila and I from bleeding out at the moment?

It wouldn't have made a difference with the two of you, but check out the IC post I just made.

I... I have even buried Takuma already! I have informed his familiars about his death! His mother commited "seppuku" because of the sadness! And most importantly... I have created a whole new 8 level character!
Well, you are the GM here. If you say Takuma is alive, that means that Takuma is alive. BUT, If I'm asked, I would say that I prefer Takuma to be dead in this module.

I constructed a quick google spreadsheet breaking down the loot we've collected so far and its value. I am assuming we're keeping the potions and selling everything else. Let me know if you'd like to keep something I had marked as selling.
https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AnKdOxYkJLv3dFNpV3dlY0 RCLUxmTkNRRHdqXzg4Umc&hl=en_US&authkey=CPKevdoK
It looks to be 2573gp each.

This seems reasonable to me. Unless someone can get some use out of that bow (I can't).

I spent a little more time on that document and added tracking for expenditures within the module.
If you'd like to spend some of the cash we have earned so far on supplies go to the second tab (marked Party Wealth) and find your name. Fill in the field with what you're buying and its cost and the spreadsheet should do the rest.
As you can see the stuff Ursus wants to pick up goes a bit beyond his share of the loot. Would someone mind fronting him the rest? =/
If you give me your email addresses I can give you edit privileges to the document and you can do it yourself.

Just to clarify a point on the question of loot: since none of you are playing your actual PFS characters in this game, anything you buy or sell wont' effect the PFS character you apply this module to. At the end of the module, everyone will receive a chronicle sheet with the same amount of gold on it, no matter what you've sold or bought during the adventure. Having said that, you obviously can't buy more stuff during the adventure than your "Cult of the Ebon Destroyers" PC can currently afford.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
I wanted to let all of you know that I will be out of the country (and away from my computer) starting next Wednesday (22.6) and will be returning on 13.7. I'm heading back to the Fatherland (Austria) for a workshop and won't be updating the game during that time.
To partially make up for that lost time, I will try to be actively online and checking the boards more until then, and will try my best to keep things moving quickly.
Thanks for understanding,
BrOp (Alex)

First of all: Alex, I hope you have recovered already.
The Takuma thing: I don't mind to earn less XP or AP. I liked the way things turned out with Takuma's death. Sometimes, a roleplayer has to know when to let a character go for the sake of the adventure. Man, now this is personal ^^. I rather use Dragos for the rest of the module.

This is ultimately up to you. If you would prefer not to continue playing Takuma, then Dragos it will be.
I still need a completed character sheet for you and your eidolon, though.

Do you mind listing Takuma's current equipment or just forwarding your character sheet to me. I'd be glad to give you some suggestions.
You can email me at Feralascendant@gmail.com.

Well no sooner am I broken even than I want to be in debt again. If there's room for it I'd like to pick up the Boots of Favored Terrain. Combined with my ranger abilities it'll give the whole party a bonus to the perception, initiative, and survival while in the jungle and make us untrackable! If you need your full share of the loot that's cool but if there's enough left over I think the boots are worth it. They cost 2400gp.

![]() |

Hmm well you don't qualify for Diehard so I suggest you trade that out for Ironhide. Besides you already have other abilities that do similar things.
I would suggest you use your share of the treasure for a Ring of Protectio +1 and a Cloak of Resistance +1.

A Pearl of Power will end up being better as I only have to cast it once a day for you. If you buy 2, I can do the same for Adjo, if he does not have barding already. We found some potions in the silk mill, feel free to claim some for yourself, though you can prepare healing spells to use on yourself, since you are a druid.

Wands of CMW are too expensive for what we need, and more than your share.
Wands are typically used after combat which our CLW wands are sufficient for. Though I suggest that you pick up some scrolls of spells that you don't know, for utility. A scroll of CSW for emergencies would be a good idea, for example.

![]() |

I think the wand of CMW is a good investment although Daxter is right in that what we are really lacking is good in-combat healing. If you want to get that wand it is a little over the budget so we'll have to wait and see how much everyone else spends.

Auke Teeninga wrote:Back from the Olympic Peninsula!Welcome back. How was your excursion?
Great!
I saw some amazing wildlife. Even a bearcub that was about 5 feet from the car. Also some deer and lots of different squirrels. All kinds of weird birds as well.
No vampires though! And it didn't rain at all in any rainforest I visited.
Going back to maintown Seattle, so the most dangerous thing I'll meet are cougars, but I know how to handle those now. Wave hands, make lots of noise and slowly walk backwards...

![]() |

Welcome, Auke! You know what? Takuma is alive! ^_^
Well, my updated sheet: Takuma's sheet

I added Monte's wand of CMW and Farouq's Rod of Lesser Extend to the shopping list since there is still a bit of room in the budget. That might change if/when Aquila does any shopping.
I think it's best we buy whatever we can now rather than trying to hold on to cash. There's no reason to believe we're going to be able to do any shopping once we leave the city.

If it looks like we're going to be over budget, we can swap my CMW wand with two scrolls of CSW (as per Daxter's suggestion), in fact I'm thinking that might be a better purchase regardless.

We won't be over budget per say, but you all are leaving Aquila with about 400ish gold. I seem to be the only person not borrowing from Aquila. :)

![]() |

OK, let me see if I can help the shopping along.
Feral, it looks like you have to choose between your ioun stone at the boots. Which will it be? Also, the books are called "boots of friendly terrain".
Takuma looks good and still has 581 left in his share.
Aquila hasn't purchased anything yet. Do you think, Auke, that you'll have time to do your buying this weekend?
Farouq is a little over-budget.
I changed Monte to buy THREE scrolls of cure serious wounds instead of his wand. He said he wanted two, but with his share he still has a bit of cash left over, so I bought a third one. That can be adjusted as needed, of course, and was only meant as a suggestion.
Daxter still has some money left in his share.
So that's where everyone stands. In order to move foward, you as a group need to decide if you want to allow people to go overbudget, and if so, for what items. Once that is resolved, you can decide what to do with the remaining gold in the kitty.
