-You will regret this!
Takuma stands up, and stares at his enemy during a moment, at his eyes. Then, with a scream, he slashes the weretiger.
Move action: stand up.
Swift action: challenge to weretiger.
Standard action: slash 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16 - damage 1d10 + 7 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 7 + (5) = 15
Edit: I have failed the attack, but I have to say this: the damage is +8 more for the challenge ^_^

Did you include the +2 from the flanking?
Did you include the +2 from the inspire courage? The weretiger is being grappled so he loses his dex bonus.
Don't be so sure you miss!

Hi folks, I'm back from sunny Austria. Had a wonderful time there reliving my childhood a bit (I grew up there) and going to a very productive seminar in Vienna. All in all a great trip.
First of all, many thanks to Wise Fox for stepping in and taking over the GMing duties in my absence, and thanks to Feral for organizing it. Seems that everything went pretty smoothly and Wise Fox did a great job.
I'm now getting caught up on the posts and will be resume shortly.

Does anyone want to do anything else in the village of Leekumgee? Do people want to change their spell selections for their trip along the trail? It leads up into the highlands.
I'm done with this village. Spell selection was already good for the trail (We weren't expecting trouble this night).

Ursus looses his massive bow and nocks an arrow, "Dax, I never disappoint".
Move Action - Move to get into a firing lane without cover and ready bow
Standard Action - Shoot
This is assuming Montesquieu inspires.
1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24
1d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Sweet my commissioned artwork for Ursus finally came in.
It's too bad I'm probably going to retire him after Cult. =(
Very nice!
But why are you going to retire him?

![]() |

The grapple nerfs are kind of a deal-breaker and there's no way to salvage the character without completely re-imagining him.
Don't give up on Ursus yet!
If someone doesn't break free in two turns you can tie him up.

![]() |

So if I move up and grapple something (and eat the subsequent full attack) I can pin them on the next turn and tie them up the third turn.
This is all assuming they don't have Freedom of Movement, they don't drop me with their full attack, and they don't break out on their pinned turn.
I'm by no means an optimizer but that's really bad economy of actions even for me. Not to mention it's just not thematically appropriate. Ursus is tied to the mighty bear. He should be crushing and mauling his enemies until they go limp or tap out, not holding them down and tying them up. =/

Something can only full attack if it has either natural attacks or a light weapon.
Maybe there'll be some options in Ultimate Combat to bring back the beast!

![]() |

Natural attacks, light weapons, and one-handed weapons.
So like Rakshasas, Garudas, and Weretigers?
Hopefully ultimate combat will have something to fix him.

Daxter looks at his familiar expectantly and nods towards the battlefield. He sighs and casts Shield on Hermes. He will then move to P4. Hermes will fly to L9 and fling his small body into the zombie.
Slam
+4 Bab
+2 Dex
+2 Size
+1 Haste
+2 Inspire Courage
+11
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
1d3 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (6) = 8 damage

"The dead do not get up and walk unless there's some jadwiga magic around. Do you sense any of that at work?", the big man says as he steps forward, pulling a handful of arrows as he does, and looses a trio of arrows using his magically augmented speed.
5-foot step towards the enemy. Shooting at the closest enemies without cover.
1d20 + 15 ⇒ (11) + 15 = 26
1d8 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
1d20 + 15 ⇒ (16) + 15 = 31
1d8 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
1d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

"Let's send them back to their graves! Starting with those that escape the vines."
"Daxter, Montesqueue, Are these just regular zombies or is there something funny going on?"

Well I made my knowledge check on my first turn and am still waiting on the results of it. If the 34 isn't enough to get anything, then we should consider retreating.
Last time Alex had messaged you the results via gmail so you could tell the rest in character. I didn't know if he had done the same now.

Ooops, sorry, forgot to respond to that. Yes, they seem to be your garden variety zombie.
EDIT: Also, Aquila did not post any actions for the first turn, so I had him delaying. There were also no mentions of Garra (and Adjo) attacking, so I DMPC'd them.

LOL
Maybe there's circumstances keeping you from knowing everything. Knowledge checks aren't always the answer.

For example, the creatures having too many HD to be identified. And if being knowledgable isn't the answer, what is?

Yeah, I was so low in the initiative that I figured even zombies would be quicker. Wanted to see how many would break free.
With the entangle it should be easy to kill them without casting high level spells.
Aquila will fly towards Garra and cast shield on Garra.

Montesquieu will continue inspiring courage, then move to within 15 feet of the nearest zombie (should be able to get there with the extra movement from haste) and attack it with his scorpion whip.
Attack: 1d20 + 11 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 11 + 2 + 1 = 26
Damage: 1d4 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 = 10

if being knowledgable isn't the answer, what is?
Almost instantaneously, a shimmering, insubstantial form separates itself from the defeated zombie. It takes the form of a Vudrani man with a large serpent wrapped around its body, its eyes burning with hate as it gazes at the living.
"Daxter, what kind of thing is this and how do we fight it?"

1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
"I have no idea. It is something I have never heard of. Take care and do not engage it until we know what it is."
