Today is mother's day in the US. Will be occupied all day :(.
GM Wicked
Yes the half plate is non-magical. Sorry today and tomorrow are slammed! I should be back to normal Wednesday. If you want to head back to town we can, indeed, work into JR. I bet everyone will want to congratulate you. Plus, I want to transition Magwyn out and bring mysterious new character in.
GM Wicked
Yes stay in this thread for now. And we can figure out loot back in town. We will transition seamlessly into JR in a day or two, as it will begin in the rusty dragon :).

@GM Wicked, I believe you said that you want to sell/get rid of all the non-consumable magic items, does this mean we will be only left with the scrolls, potions and wands, together with a nice stack of coins, and how many coins will that be?
Also I am reworking my character a bit, as I want to use my channel abilities more effectively.
Update will be later today.
GM Wicked
Hey guys, another very busy day for me, until late this evening. I'll try to sit down tonight, but may not get to it until tomorrow. I will figure out the loot tomorrow. Youll have an opportunity to go shopping after that, before you set out on your next adventure. The story will be continuous, so don't feel like we have to shut things down before JR starts. This is bad timing for me to be slammed, as I know we're all excited. Thanks for your patience.
XP: I don't track it. I'll level us up based on story progrrssion. The AP assumes level 1 at the beginning, so level 2 is still a ways off (but not too far).

Take your time, in the meantime we can start debating the most important question: How are we going to name our beautiful caravan?
P.S. updated my character. He has now enough charisma to channel properly.
Lugert, Half-orc Ranger
We can roleplay getting drunk at the Rusty Dragon while we wait. I've put more thought into Lugert's character. Since we're mostly sticking together Lugert's character development will be a bit different from what I wrote before. I think I'll have him be a switch hitter ranger instead of going TWF.
GM Wicked
Take a look at the loot spreadsheet. If there's anything not claimed, i'm going to assume we find a buyer and liquidate all of it. The magical sword is for sale (sorry), but it's sale price will be distributed evenly among you.
Everyone, please do me a favor and keep track of the value of everything you receive individually. This includes your starting wealth (max for your class) plus any gold or gear you receive or claim as we adventure. You can keep this info somewhere in your profile, and it will allow me to plan loot appropriately as we move through the AP.
I'd like to continue the awesome RP Lugert started over in gameplay, at least to say goodbye to Magwyn and say hello to Samiya (she looks fantastic, by the way). Then we will move over to the new thread I've set up to continue our adventure.

I fancied up my own loot sheet (I just like playing with spreadsheets).
The only item I need/want is the +1 ring of protection, so I'll buy that with my share of the cash money.
As well as the goblin 'crown' and dragon toy, which I gave arbitrarily to Ameiko as souvenirs for the Rusty Dragon.

I have changed my loot sheet also.
Are there any restrictions on availability of items? I want to buy a Heavy Darkwood Masterwork Shield to reduce my AC check, a masterwork agile breastplate, and maybe some small magic items.
GM Wicked
That should be alright Kandor. Mundane weapons and armor, including masterwork, can easily be found at Savah's Armory. There are other miscellaneous shop locations as well, including the General Store, the Sandpoint Boutique, and even the Red Dog Smithy (though the properietor, Das Korvut, is notoriously ill-tempered).
As to minor magical items, such as potions, wands, and scrolls, those will be stocked at The Feathered Serpent. Its sole proprietor, Vorshali Voon, maintains an eclectic collection of strange relics, statues, and ancient monument fragments. His stock changes constantly as his contacts from Magnimar come in weekly to buy and trade stock.
I have the afternoon off, and will work on new posts and updates shortly!

If items were claimed, I simply deleted them from the list, then added up the selling price for everything and have divided it equally. This means that if a PC claimed a valuable item (e.g. Golgast's ring), that PC actually has a larger chunk. This is intentional. My method here is to keep an eye on everyone's total worth (determined by starting cash plus loot/gear you claim/receive). As the game goes on, I'll include loot to try to balance everyone out. I'm not interested in micro-managing loot, only seeing that things are roughly proportional. Plus, I like to see the party working together to decide who gets which items. Since Golgast is in melee, it benefits the whole party that his AC is getting buffed from the ring.
Golgast
ring of protection +1 (2,000gp)
crown and toy (58gp)
Kandor
wand of CLW (7 charges) (ignoring value as this benefits everyone)
Lugert
potion of invisibility (300gp)
Magwyn (transferring to Samiya)
potion of CLW (50gp)
In addition to these claimed items, the liquidation value of everything else was 8,540. Dividing by four, this means everyone should now add 2,135 to their wealth. Not bad for level 1 characters!
*A note about Simaya. Ignore Magwyn's starting wealth when you transfer stuff over, as she's starting with her own calculated starting wealth. She should, however, receive the potion of CLW that Magwyn claimed, as well as his share of the gold (2,135gp).

When you're ready to move on, you'll find the new thread for Jade Regent Book 1 (The Brinewall Legacy) here! Go ahead and make a "dot" post in the gameplay thread, then immediately delete it. This will import your PC profile into the "Characters" tab. Also feel free to start up that Discussion thread.
I have already written the first post, and will post it once everyone is settled in!

Okay, thank you.
If I find some cool magic items I will post them here before buying.
And Golgast, can I interest you in a nice Mithral chainshirt for only 1100 gold? It is probably the best non-magical light armor available.
Also, depending on how much we start with, we could set some money aside for the caravan, maybe afford an upgrade or two.
GM Wicked
Some nice stuff you have there (nice bow!)
To clarify, in addition to tracking your current wealth, I'd like you to keep track of total wealth received. So, for instance, if you look at Lugert's awesomely-done sheet, you can see that the total value of everything he's received, including his starting wealth, has capped at 2,735gp. It's this number I'll use to keep up with loot as we go, using the rulebook's suggested "Wealth by Character Level" as a guideline.
E.g. at level 2 you should have received 2,000gp. At level 3 that jumps to 3,000gp. Tracking the total amount of wealth you've received, without regard to how you spend it, tells me that you're well above what the core rules assume is appropriate for our level (which is fine, as I can easily adjust the loot level as we go).
Does this make sense?
Oh! And don't forget there was a bounty to defeat black fang! Once the mayor learns about it (coming in the first Jade Regent post) you'll receive 1,000 additional gp as a group (250gp more each)!

I have finished shopping. I bought a scroll of lesser restoration, some holy water, and a cloak of resistance + 1, the Sleeves of many Garments (now I can wear a pretty fortuneteller's dress in case Koya is unavailable), and the already mentioned Darkwood shield and MW agile breastplate.
I also was so free to make a lootpage for the caravan.
Here we can note what we each contributed, and what we bought for it.
GM Wicked
Great, thanks Kandor for planning ahead. The caravan rules will come up about one-third of the way through Book 1--not immediately, but not far off!
The sleeves will also allow you to join Ameiko and Samiya for impromptu peformances: weeping geisha, laughing clown, the possibilities are endless!
And if you want some help thinking of a caravan name, Donjon has a whole bunch of random generators, including one for adventuring parties!
Gôlgast
I didn't use the right numbers.
Which is good, because I had more cash to splash than I thought.
I like Kandor's suggestion of a Mithral chain shirt too.
Just adjusting my own shopping list, based on Lugert's example.
Additional:
Okay, I've tidied up my stuff on the loot sheet.
Done my shopping (spiffy armour and weapons especially)
@ GM Wicked: let me know if I made any errors in my purchases.
