Also wanted to ask a question of you. What would be an interesting NPC for you? For example a certain race/class combo.

The processor was acting wacky and the graphics card was cutting off on me a bit. Basically, it was just wear and tear from use. It was a self built computer so that's why it was not outdated despite the years. Most computer parts these days don't hold up to extended use over years.
Concerning the NPC it's just part of a passion project of mine. In fact, you could take a look but be warned it's still new. Any NPC I plan for the game will not be known by you unless you request or look for them specifically. ;)
Yeah, I understand that. I'm looking to update my computer soon too, just waiting for amd to release their new ryzen. After that I'm probably going to upgrade my Ramm and motherboard to ddr4 and get another Nas HDD along with a better ssd. Got a new ultra wide monitor so that's fun at least.
Anyways, I like it. I have a whole book of NPCs,dmpcs and etc I've made. I want to rewrite them into another book and maybe something you've done too. I'll think of something for you to make.
I haven't checked lately are graphics cards still insanely expensive? I managed to get a good deal on a prebuilt so it had most of what I wanted already in it and came with a 31.5" monitor. Which was an upgrade from my old one. So I think I made out alright for the timing. Hopefully, I will have the time or funds in the future to build my own with all the bells and whistles but since I am not a hardcore gamer or anything this should last me a good stretch.
Yeah, I have a lot of old PCs and NPCs but converting those or just digging them out would be a good deal of trouble so I am just making them for the moment. I would like the site to grow as I don't think or rather am unaware of any database for NPCs. Not counting the products of course. Which personally has been a real problem for games in my experience.
Last I heard, the GPU price hike from crypto-mining as died down and if not it will when the new cards are released. I'm personally running with a strix RX480. I'm pretty much going to build a second computer, using all my old parts and turning my old computer into spare/data archive. I'm not as big of a gamer I was some years ago, but having the option is nice.
I'll send you a few character ideas, all of mine aren't setting specific so you should be able to use them freely.

Well, I've seen enough films that show villains feeding crocodiles or sharks, also Budi was cut in half a couple of weeks ago.
Well, honestly I was going more for a metaphor type thing. Think multiple steps ahead to gain the expected result even if it does not seem apparent. He lured a fish, which lured the reefclaw, which is a delicacy he will now be enjoying for dinner. All at the cost of a small snack and seeming random action.
Also, that diplomacy covered you enough so a part of you or all of you was not what was used as bait for the reefclaw. Just kidding, maybe. ;)
So what are you going to do? What's your game plan?
First up, what dock are we in? I'm not sure if you wrote in the past where the Serpents Sin is harbored. I want to say the new harbor, but could be the yellow port.
I snagged a copy of the strange aeons game and found a decent piece on Okeno and a map with sites. So I might go about exploring the city. I probably don't have much time until a messanger comes for me so I want to get info, some on gnoll sailors how they act, maybe something on the Serpents Sin and its Can. I can't justify looking into esoteric rituals just yet.
Rambling aside, I want to get info and I'm sure I could find some amongst the patrons of The Stern. Who knows maybe I'll find some info on Akorian, some sort of side quest or leads on how to start up my side business.
The Serpent's Sin is in New Dock.
As for when a messenger comes for you. There won't be one concerning Akorian's job sense until you get the gnolls respect, it's pretty much dead in the water. But if you take to long to get their respect then Akorian may consider you a failure and that has its own risk. So you may not want to ignore your task at hand.
As to gnolls, they all basically hang out and live in one major area of Okeno. The Laughing Fleshfair which is where they do business as well.
What is your side business?
Thinking of turning Jawahar into a merchant and eventually an information broker, the funds he gets will be put into a his arcane research. I'll send you some information I meant too before. I have a better idea of what I should do now. Maybe try to eventually win the favour of Hyena Princess Njano.
What kind of merchant?
I would discourage being an information broker, at least in the traditional sense. As that would mean you stay put in the city and have a web of contacts. Gaining and developing those contacts while restricting yourself to a local would be time consuming and counterproductive to a pirate game such as this.
Also, you already have a hyena princess to gain favor with. ;)
That's fair, wish is why I'm glad to have spoken to you about it beforehand. I could eventually make him into maybe a jack of all trades, trading in magical wares, slaves/monsters, commondities/resources. With his headquarters being in Okeno, this would be down the line so it's not a priority now.
And here I was hoping to even my odds.
So what's your plan for the fleshfair exactly?
Yeah, I wonder that myself. I need to mend what damage was caused to the gnolls, otherwise I'm a deadman. So might buy some slaves, maybe as a peace offering for their mistress, also a bit of exploration I suppose.
May I make a suggestion about how to do what Akorian said?
