Faolan will work with the others to clear out the tower of hobgoblin scum.

Once that is accomplished, he's not unwilling to move in to guard the place. He likes the forest, sure, but this place is huge! So many nooks and crannies to play around with. The interior designer in him drifts to the fore...

Great campaign everyone! I had a blast with Faolan. Thank you all for playing to the end. That's a rarity in APs today!

”Without Azaersi this place poses little threat. But it holds great power and I do not intend to allow another tyrant use it to rise to power. If any of you wish to go home now, you should. I have little to return to, and in truth I fought this war for revenge against events that began long before Phaendar, so I will stay, clear out any last defenders, and defend it.”

You clear the rest of the hobgoblins and allies from the fortress and burn their taint from the area. Krowe remains behind to rebuild and reinforce the Stone Roads from future invaders. Who can know if you'll recognize him when, or if, you see him again.

Bor, Bazsil, and Faolan return to Phaendar and drive the remaining Ironfang forces into the hills. You break the siege of Londshadow and Kraggodan, return the body of Daq Sontine's brother, and enact a peace between Nirmathas and Molthune.

Finally you settle down at the inn in Phaendar, rebuilt and restocked with beer. From caravan guards to heroes, you fought an army and won against all odds thrown at you. Though it takes many days, every citizen of Phaendar listens with rapt attention to Bazil's story of your deeds.

The future is uncertain. Faolan remains a hunted man, though he has perhaps forgotten. Bazsil has told one story, but is this his last? Will Bor succumb to the madness he spread in others, or has he learned to master it? And will Krowe find that he has toppled one tyrant only to give rise to another, powered by infernal pacts and armies?

Whether you find the answers to these questions or not, the Ghosts of Phaendar live on.

Folks, it's been an absolute pleasure to run this for you. 6 years, thousands of posts, and we completed all 6 books of the AP! I hope you all had as much fun as I did! This is my last Pathfinder game, my last Paizo game, but not the last game I'll ever run. I'll be logged in for a few more days here before I close the Campaign tab that's been open on my browser for the last 10 years a final time.

Oof, thanks for all this, Bryan. I appreciate it all and I know the effort you put into it. I have a lot of thoughts, but mostly I appreciate the chance to play with everyone, and love that the same 4 that started this are ending this. It’s been a heck of a run. I am honored to be a part of it.

Bazsil smiles, hearing the calls from the audience. Smiling because it’s the one true story he knows, the one true story he knows he will tell to the end of his days. It the smile of one who knows the truth, and will be embellishing it as a way to serve the truth and the story.

The truth is that four heroes defied the might of a nascent nation.

The truth is that four heroes fought to keep free an entire country.

The truth is that four heroes battled all sorts of fae, aberration, dragon, and elemental to do what is right.

And it was his smile, and his voice, that would tell the story.

It was his Edda, and he would tell it until the end of his days.

”We were sitting in a tavern not unlike this one when it started…” Bazsil, looking over the audience, begins in his deep rumbling voice.

Bravo Balodek. Bravo and well done. Running a campaign is harder than most folks realize, and you deserve more thanks and props for an often thankless job. This is my last PBP game on the Paizo forums for the foreseeable future, and I’m glad it was with this group and in your campaign. A million thanks.

To everyone else, I’m honored to have made it to the end with you. Thank you for both putting up with my sporadic posting these last couple years and pushing on occasion to keep me going.

Faolan, the most epic meat shield that bashed and slammed his way to victory like no sword-slinger ever could. And with no complaints for the damage suffered along the way. There should be some sort of achievement award for completing a campaign without using a normal weapon.

Bor, committed to madness, even if it was the harder road to trod. Of all the Ghosts of Phaendar, Krowe felt the most kinship for your damaged mind and body as he knew suffering himself. Was the voice Krowe heard his own or an invisible demon whispering in his ear? I’m not even sure I know, and perhaps he was a little mad himself.

Bazsil, the voice, and perhaps the soul, of the group, despite obvious brain damage. Did we ever learn how he got that head wound? Did it ever heal properly? Thanks for taking care of us these years.
