Bug Eater |
Bug is in dumb mode right now(mutagen) so he doesn't really grasp the wall business well enough to disbelieve it. Since the gas is no longer there, he will move to G6 and swipe at the fighter. (he was moving to go around the wall and find someone, but after a 5' step he sees a target and engages)
dragon style, power attack, flurry, mutagen
to hit: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17 miss
to hit: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23 damage: 1d8 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
to hit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19 miss
(HP 31/57)
Quiznab |
Quiznab as the creator of the illusionary wall naturally sees through it and he smiles as the Orog monk and Wizard stand next to each other. With a sudden sharp eldritch phrase, enhanced by a fraction of his inner fire, he summons a 30' deep extra dimensional hole right under the pair of them.
Standard action: cast create pit, spending a point to boost the reflex DC to 19.
Swift action: maintain the illusion of the wall. This may be moot now, well we'll see.

Grenadel "Rena" Aeleanir |
Playtime, boys! Bazzing-ga!.
Rena activates Gravity Bow and steps out if she needs to, shooting into the mass of man-goblin flesh and bone. She targets the first enemy without the benefit of cover.
atk, hvy xbow +1, bracers, pbs, large: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 8 + 1 + 1 + 1 - 2 = 26
dmg, hvy xbow +1, pbs, large: 3d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5, 1, 2) + 1 + 1 = 10

Assuming the two Orogs are still together when it's his turn to act.
Quiznab takes a step towards the door and again whispers a spidery word, casting another spell infused with a fraction of his latent fire. And suddenly the ground beneath the two Orogs becomes very slippery!
Quiznab moves to G:3 and casts a Grease spell from F:7 to G:8 using another Arcane Reservoir point to boost the reflex save to DC 18.
Quiznab |
Looks like there's one at F7 and another at G7, and a third in the pit at H8. Am I missing something? :)
Bug Eater |
Try to beat down the one in front of him.
flurry, dragon style, mutagen, power attack
to hit: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17 miss
to hit: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29 damage: 1d8 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
to hit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 miss
Quiznab |
Right, if they manage to drop one or more then there would be no point. If on the other hand that doesn't happen and this lets them get an AOO, it seems like a good move.

RD 8 DMCP Xavier
the warpriest step up to F:6 and sees that the monk now with an arrow in him goes for the kill and attacks that warrior first. He chooses to conserve his spell energy.

No point in using grease now. Quiz was never intended to blast, but right now Red can't have many HP left. So let's tickle him with an Acid Splash.
Ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 2 = 15
Acid Splash: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Grenadel "Rena" Aeleanir |
Rena holds a hand up to the others.
Then she speaks in fluent Orc. Ho, magic-man! You comrades are dead or dying. I will spare your life if you surrender and share information. I will not stop you from trying to save them, if you wish.
Or, you can... die.
For all her talk, she reloads.
Hobgoblin or Orc |
If recall the pit is 30 feet deep and well, he's a wizard. He tries to toss somethings up with mixed results.
throw, range: 1d20 + 5 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 5 - 4 - 4 = 14
Wow he actually tossed his quarterstaff up.
throw, range: 1d20 + 5 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 5 - 4 - 4 = 2
His wand pokes him in the eye when it falls back.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
now that is flat out unbelievable, I'm pretty sure the dice roller in here wants Bug dead.
Grenadel "Rena" Aeleanir |
Ask what you need fellas, Rena is operating under the Geneva Convention rules. We're soldiers. Quiz can copy what he needs from spellbook, Rena too. If monk or fighters can be saved, that's fine.
You are the smart one, tell them what you know. My people would say you owe me your life. I will keep my word, you keep yours. Your people know order and honor, so I trust you understand.
Cross us, and you will die. There is no place you can hide in this world. I will find you.
Intimidate, underworld inspiration: 1d20 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 4 + (6) = 14
Quiznab |
"She means that by the way. The last one to cross her lasted three months before she tracked him across a desert three continents and a war. When she caught up, well... You're better off not knowing."
Bluff: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Xavier Longsaddle |
Xavier looks at the wand as though it has betrayed him and casts another CMW on Bug.
CMW: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (6, 8) + 6 = 20
then taps him with the wand a couple more times.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
You need to stop running off. Much as I appreciate your skill it will do you no good if I cannot keep you standing.
He stands and looks down on the wizard.
You recognize when you are beaten. Offer your co-operation and we will see you fairly judged, resist an we can skip straight to Vengeance for the harm you have wrought these people.
He casually lowers his sword so that the tip points at the Orog, and some of the wizard's allies blood drips into the pit.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
By fairly judged, Xavier meant a field trial and probably an execution if he did not trade information for his life. Or at least a trial be combat.
Quiznab |
Quiz knows torture doesn't work, instead he throws them a canteen of water and, sounding relieved he tells them, "Look I'm glad you're feeling cooperative, because I actually don't like dissolving Rena's cadavers in acid. A nasty business, gives me nightmares. Anyway I'm going to ask you a couple of easy questions that I already know the answer to. You see I need to know if I can trust you. If you tell me the truth, I'll give you something good to eat. Do we have a deal? Great! My first question is, you must have known coming here was a bad idea, what did Poltur promise you? Second, where was he yesterday? Remember I already know the answer to these questions, so you won't be betraying anybody, and I'll know if you lie. If you do lie, well I'm sorry but I won't be able to save you from her."
Bluff: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Quiznab |
"Very good, you're telling the truth. One final question, how many did Poulter take with him? How many of them were casters? I've already spoken to several townsfolk and I need to confirm their numbers."
