Andrea drinks a CSW potion and taps Daniel with the CSW wand. They all had to be at full strength.
Around the dais is where I detected a lingering aura. The Morrowfall also has the ability to Detect Undead I believe.

As the party rests, heals up, calms frantic victims, and tracks auras along with seraching the room for hidden pathways some time passes. (15 minutes). Gerard in the meantime has located Ilnerik’s “coffin” in a hollow space under the altar filled with rich soil from Nidal. Is anyone doing anything to this area? The second discovery that Gerard makes is a secret door behind the dais where the cracks in the wall are located.

Andrea curses. We need to destroy him and find the Totemrix! Andrea pulls out holy water and begins throwing out the dirt onto the wet floor and sprinkling water over the coffin. Vampires must rest in their coffin when they are damaged into mist or they are destroyed. If not, they will perish forever. Andrea looks down the hall and begins examining the coffin. Would he keep the Totemrix in here? Without it, we can never break the curse.

After blessing the coffin, Andrea gestures down the hall. We must follow!
Andrea heals Jarvis from the sapping touch of the Shadows with a tap of the Restoration wand.

Gerard the area is dark but assuming someone has torch behind you, then you can make out the same information as above. The tunnel extend east towards the sound of the dripping water. From your angle neither Daniel, or you, can tell if it widens out ahead. So far only the two of you are in the hall, the rest of the party are lined up to follow you in. This is why I did not disclose anything about undead because the person holding that artifact is at the end of the line plus it takes concentration to discern much information.

Andrea looks at Euphemia. We destroyed the vampire spawn and coffins upstairs where we fought the shadows and then I assume this daias was Ilnerik's coffin. We scattered the dirt and used holy water to prevent them from being used.

Daniel and Gerard creep on down the hall - well Gerard creeps, Daniel clanks - until he gets to the end where there is small platform. This brick landing looks out over one of the city’s deeper sewer channels, a 10-foot-diameter tunnel with 5 feet of sewage running through it. An invisible vampire suddenly appears as Daniel's detect evil pings. The vampire strikes the flat footed paladin,
slam, haste: 1d20 + 15 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 15 + 1 = 28;damage, VS, AS: 4d4 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 3) + 12 + 2 = 25

He starts to hum a nasty death march as his move action.
Daniel one thing you notice when you see the vampire up close is he has a protective darkness surrounding him.

Euphemia shoves her way up to the side of the vampire with something like a grin. She isn't normally so keen on getting up close and personal with a foe, but this time, she had a couple of things that could seriously hurt him.

You notice he has an aura of darkness surrounding him and he doesn't have the sunlight light weakness. You are cast a Range TA spell correct? I was a bit confused with the "using the sword"

With Smite still in effect, Daniel's AC vs Illnerik is 30/?/29 so neither of the vampire's attacks hit. I imagine this fight as similar to the end scene of GLADIATOR where the emperor had to cheat to have a chance against Maximus because he is no match for him
The paladin has a sharp intake of breath as the preternatural sense that comes when he smites a target kicks in. Andrea's protections had expired but he would not need them. He ducks aside from two blows and retaliates in kind, his sword carrying with it IMOEDAE'S power!

The first blow is nearly perfect, driving straight through the vampire's left breast into his heart, but it was not a stake!, Daniel withdraws the blade and failed in an attempt to take his head. The paladin tells himself to be patient. Illnerik was not the warrior Daniel was and didn't have a God of War backing him.
