You can DMPC, not many options... was trying to avoid the combat. He's got daggers. That's it.
I do remember ghost salt, but can't afford to spend the time to apply it and don't know its affect is akin to "ghost touch" (allowing for sneak attack). If not... meh.
Score 2 damage for the rogue!

+2 points extra damage. Didn't know about that detail. Thought it was just an effective +4 enchantment for cost purposes
+2 Weapon is 8,000 gp
Bane power is a +1 bonus which makes the weapon cost 18,000+3 weapon is 18,000)
So +2 Hit/Damage +2d6 not +3 Hit/Damage+2d6

We still have a bunch of these scrolls. Can Frank nibble on them or would Orsin like them?
5th level - false vision, break enchantment, mage's private Sanctum
4th level - phantasmal killer,
3rd level - dispel magic, Daylight
2nd level - arcane lock, protection from arrows
1st level - protection from good (X2), alarm (x1), Hold Portal

I'm taking this into the discussion thread.
The Web spell really needs to be clarified by the designers as it leave a lot to be desired. The spell talks about being strong and sticky, but it totally lacks any reference as to how it effects a ranged attack like an arrow, crossbolt, or thrown weapon fired into the webbing. It makes no sense to me that thick sticky webbing would not effect the flight of a ranged weapon. Common sense tells us spiders use web to catch flying insects, and it the universal monster rule for Web states that.
Creatures with the web ability can use webs to support themselves and up to one additional creature of the same size. In addition, such creatures can throw a web up to eight times per day. This is similar to an attack with a net but has a maximum range of 50 feet, with a range increment of 10 feet, and is effective against targets up to one size category larger than the web spinner. An entangled creature can escape with a successful Escape Artist check or burst the web with a Strength check. Both are standard actions with a DC equal to 10 + 1/2 the creature’s HD + the creature’s Con modifier. Attempts to burst a web by those caught in it take a –4 penalty.
Web spinners can create sheets of sticky webbing up to three times their size. They usually position these sheets to snare flying creatures but can also try to trap prey on the ground. Approaching creatures must succeed on a DC 20 Perception check to notice a web; otherwise they stumble into it and become trapped as though by a successful web attack. Attempts to escape or burst the webbing gain a +5 bonus if the trapped creature has something to walk on or grab while pulling free. Each 5-foot-square section of web has a number of hit points equal to the Hit Dice of the creature that created it and DR 5/—.
A creature can move across its own web at its climb speed and can pinpoint the location of any creature touching its web.
There is very little on the message board on this topic, but I have linked one thread that vaguely discusses it in the context of other spells.
WEB and effects on Ranged Attacks
How I'm ruling is there is a 50% chance that the any arrow, bolt, thrown item will get caught in the webbing. I think this is fair and it lets characters try to muscle a shot through.

Funny, I always thought of the web spell to as a flat spider web that stuck people to the floor in it's area of effect.
No worries though.
The spell mentions: "These masses must be anchored to two or more solid and diametrically opposed points or else the web collapses upon itself and disappears." I think if it were flat then it could collapse on itself, I think it's more 3D like very similar to the LOR when Frodo is in the cave and gets intertwined.

Spell Desc says it provides cover.
"If you have at least 5 feet of web between you and an opponent, it provides cover. If you have at least 20 feet of web between you, it provides total cover."
Amounts to -4 & -8?
You know I didn't see the cover language. Errr, nevermind.
Aurelio's shot missed since there would have been total cover.

My tabletop group killed an adult feral bronze dragon tonight, it was a fun encounter for level 7 characters. The question that I have is how much is the carcass worth? Anyone know how to value it?
Did you already settle this? Because I have some ideas.
Some of them depend on party alignment of course.

I've received some ideas but it hasn't been settled. I'm a player in the game and we plan to resolve it this weekend.
The adult dragon was feral (feral template and N alignment) attacked us. It killed some NPCs even with that we tried to negotiate, but it was hungry. It was cool side adventure for us, we were able to fight and defeat a dragon at fairly low level PCs. Most of the us have run from dragons, but rarely have we fought one.
We had a series of very fortunate rolls, I used the boneshatter spell and the dragon failed the save so he was exhausted. I was able to create a pit under its back two legs and it filed its reflex save, so that further limited its movement.

It seems like a good time to rest for the night and regain your spells and heal up. Assuming you take the Chard up on the rest you can level up for the next morning.
By the way, you would eventually learn that the treasure hoard you liberated had the following coin and gem value:
108,406 cp,
27,312 sp,
8,480 gp,
2,323 pp,
assorted lesser gemstones worth a total of 27,550 gp,
7 magnificent jewels worth 5,000 gp each, and
14 pieces of art or furniture worth an average of 2,000 gp each.
Remember Talbard went there to inventory the items for you.
I believe you identified the other items in the hoard, but if there is something that I missed tell me and I'll get the item for you. remember you have the philosopher's stone.
Talbard would advised that 11 of the paintings/furniture can be traced back to local families and should be returned. It will buy you good will also. If you choose not to, there is risk of folks identifying stolen property.
I believe we already discussed a an item or two that was Talbard which were stolen. So he would have advised you.

I mentioned when this book began that it is a series of smaller quests, some fit some don't given how the story has progressed, that being said you are roughly 3/5ths the way done with the book.
I'm planning on adding one interim battle that I want to be challenging and it plays into some of the undead theme that has developed with this book. Before I do that I need to read the next section of the book to make sure they did not introduce what I have in mind.

Oh snap!
As for the hoard, I did a big write up on divvying the coins(cp,sp,gp,pp) Items were also divvyied and these are the remaining items

Thesing's copy of Six-fold Trials
Philosopher's Stone
Treasurer's Seal
master key to locked doors in Walcourt
(5) smoke sticks
2 set of ivory dice
3 vials of a black smear poison
These scrols were found in Walcourt and are up for grabs for Orsin/Frank food
5th level - false vision, break enchantment, mage's private Sanctum
4th level - phantasmal killer,
3rd level - dispel magic, Daylight
2nd level - arcane lock, protection from arrows

There is also one scroll left from The Wavedoor from way back in Book 3
a scroll of sunburst

Edit Orsin just mentained on Facebook that he is still busy with school and is moving to a new home. I brought up the subject of his painting problem and also a way we can solve it, so Baldwin might want to PM him

Well some ideas for you:
1)Dragonhide armor. If you don't want to wear it, you can have it made and sell it off for a profit or just keep it in your back pocket.
2)"Gourmet" club - if the meat is still good, and your players aren't squeamish about selling meat from a sentient creature, I'd bet the rich and famous would pay handsomely to consume actual dragon meat. The fact that brass dragons are good gives you a better chance of selling the meat to corrupt rich folks looking for a thrill.
3)Spell components. If you have an actual dragon corpse, I guarantee a mage college wants most of it. Scales, teeth, talons, bones, eyes could all go for a pretty penny, either as a focus for a magic item or on their own. Dragons are the most magical creature out there, so there's gotta be a market.
4)Use the skull for a big game trophy. Do you know how hard it is to build a legend of your prowess with mundane creatures? Probably very. How easy is it to look good when you have a dragon head mounted in your great hall? Probably very. Is there a dishonest noble and an unethical taxidermist nearby? Charge 5-20k gp for the head so he looks great the next time the head of state drops by.
5)Don't want to prop up the local nobles? Sell the skull to a necromancer. Dragons, even feral dragons, are probably pretty smart. The necromancer might want to use the skull as a focus to summon its spirit as an advisor.
6)High quality music instruments/bows. How good is a musical instrument or bow made out of dragon bone? Does dragon sinew make for incredibly good lute strings, or does dragon skin make the best drums? Maybe not, but some rich guy probably thinks they do!
7)Flim-flam components. Rhino horn is supposedly an aphrodisiac - how much do you think dragon horn is worth? Maybe Abrogail II wants another heir, or Khemet III has a problem in the bedroom only you can solve!
Just some thoughts.

LOL! Just like that Marlan Brando/Brodwick film
Okay. I tallied things up and am voting to return the stolen stuff. So the gemstones, jewels and 4 pieces of art that remain
27,550 gp gems
35,000 gp jewels
8000 gp art
70550 gp total
70550/5=14,110 gp each.(divided by 6 if we want to let Frank have his share. :)

Thanks for the ideas. I'll copy and print them for the DM. I'm actually a player in that game.
My wizard has already gone to the wizard guide to inquire. We aren't in the largest port so we decided to sell parts it in the next port. We are considering having the wings made into sails and the head mounted on the mast.
The dragon has been preserved so the meat should be fine.

Question about a possible feat, Bashing Finish: Whenever you score a critical hit with a melee weapon, you can make a shield bash attack against the same target using the same bonus as a free action.
Does this include when I crit with my shield? ^_^

Too bad keen and improved critical don't stack, then it'd be evil. It's still gonna be pretty nasty if I keen my kukri though, 15-20/x2 is hilarious with power attack and inspire courage - 38 damage minimum on a crit with one attack - if I hit with the free shield bash it's 64.

I never used, nor have I had a player, pursue the shield bashing line of fighters. Can you find any FAQ or rules/threads on this issue and post a link?
