Wow sorry to see STR go. He's taken breaks in the past, so I'll chalk this one up to being a break for now. He'll have spot if he can come back. That being said work has me swamped right now and it will remain that way through Friday. You all can rolelay amongst yourself at Grumm's for the week, I'll try to pop in during the evening.

Well Daniel was our heavy armor evil smiting front liner(100 damage on Ilnerik yo.) So our combat looks like this.
Andrea:Spell casting and good armor but hits like a wet noodle without spells
Orsin:Hits hard, useful songs and spells but low ac
Gerard: excellent flanker damage and good ac
Euphemia: Good debuffs, hexes and can heal as well.
Andrea can be a good anchor for Orsin and Gerard to work around if she gets up front. So we should pay more attention to area control so we don't get overwhelmed in mass fights.
Summons will make good flankers as well even if they don't do much damage.
We do lack good ranged abilities since Daniel had the composite bow and Gerard's daggers are made for close in work.

That is possible, perhaps from your Rapan Athuk game. Or have an NPC along. John or Faelyn or a restored Khazrae.
I'm interested in hearing more opinions on this. If the players decide they want another player it shouldn't be too hard to find one, especially at this high level on the boards. Most games fizzle out by now. My biggest concern is maintaining party chemistry.
I don't think I'd like to run NPC's at this time.

I don't think bringing in someone new should be a problem. Andrea and I have encountered more than our fair share of fresh faces to the group, some who've stayed longer than others. If we bring in someone new, he or she should definitely fill the tank/fighter niche that STR's been taking care of up until now.

A background of wanting to stop the chaos in Westcrown and keep it from possibly being burned down or dominated by the Council would be perfect. Maybe even a somewhat more shady type from the Oberigos who achieve payback for their house's humiliation can work.
As for the type of fighter? Any kind can work. I do think a strong armor/weapon type can be very helpful. Perhaps a ranger who specializes in hitting hard and fast or whatever the new person wishes. :)

I am still watching guys.
Just my work is a NO MOBILE (ie get fired) work place (guy died texting and driving)
and when I get home, that's ALL family time now (I work 2 weeks away, 1 home) and helping my wife with her new food business.
Everyone may have noticed I am no where near my old posting frequency.
Something had to give so I dropped all my games, I don't want to bog anyone down with infrequent posting.
Whomever you get needs a mountain of HP and lower AC.
If you recruit a High AC turtle with no teeth, Baldwin will likely go after squishy chars.

Hi all, I'm stepping in as a tank, I'm a fellow player in another of Baldwin's games - it's the only other game I'm on in the forum and it's only at 12 pages so if you want to see some of my posts that's the best place to do so.
You can check the character created so far, I haven't been able to nail down a personality yet but in broad strokes he went to Lastwall as a boy and ended up as one of their rare infantry soldiers, and is being called back to help his family due to the problems in Westcrown.
I'm not married to my current build, so if you've got advice or think the concept doesn't fit too well with party dynamics let me know.

Welcome aboard, perhaps you became acquainted with Daniel at some point. :)
We do have a suit of +4 Plate Mail that you might be interested in. :) Adorned with the symbols of Aroden but still perfect.
We can probably hook you up with healing potions and special items in case we fight undead or other creatures again.

Looks like you went with a lockdown build?
You might like to check out Str Rangers Guide to TWF for fighter's in the advice threads.
Moving sucks for a TWF build since you lose your full attack.
This campaign is mostly indoors and most of the others are low on hp.
Maybe check out the BRAWLER archetype.
It will not only improve your damage with close weapons (shield, cestus and kukri's) but MENACING STANCE is awesome since it lowers enemy to hit AND AC.
Gerard and Orsin would love that since thier damage is great but are not nearly as accurate as you.
Also grants abilities to stop enemies moving away from you.
;)
I like the concept.
Really missing the game actually.

I'll play around with the Brawler option, see if I can make it work. I know you're stepping back, but do you mind if I send you a build to see if it looks alright?

Happy to look at whatever you come up with.
I did post an example build in the guide if you want a template.Basically the BRAWLER is even more damn powerful (in DPR terms) because you get the full close weapon bonus and MEANACING STANCE is like free AC (since the enemy takes a to hit penalty) for the party.
The trick is too keep the enemy from moving away from you.
PIN DOWN is a central feat here.
You won't need improved or gtr bullrush since you already get weapon training (+3 at this level and +5 if you buy gloves of dueling)
AND CLOSE COMBATANT added to those checks (+3 at this level) for a total bonus of +8 to bullrush. Shield slam doesn't provoke.
So get next to a foe and bash them into a wall (which auto trips them) and use PIN DOWN and STAND STILL to keep them there.

Aurlio,
You are short changing your attacks
Shield should be
Bab 12
Gtr Wpn fcs 2
Wpn Trai 3
Gloves 2
Enchant +1
Str 6
CRACKED PALE GREEN PRISM 1
=27
Kukri
Bab 12
Wpn train 3
Gloves 2
Enchant 1
Str 6
Twf -2
CRACKED PALE GREEN PRISM
=23
So your normal breakdown without PA or Dazing assault is Shield/Kukri:
27S/23K/22S/18K/17S
With PA and Dazing Assault on:
18/14/13/9/8 which seems like a steep penaly but with Orsin
+ Inspire Courage +3
You are
21/17/16/12/11 and add +4 to everything whrn you flank!!!
The attack penalty is big but you have the weapon and BAB to suck it for huge payoff.

Hero labs has failed me! Thanks for all the help, and yes I understand how ludicrous the attack bonus is even with the penalties.

Believe if you stick a certain ioun stone in a wayfinder it makes you immune to domination.
Pretty sure it's pricey through.

Rarely watch tv these days. From what I have heard, everyone in Westeros need to be nuked from orbit.
His first three books were very good but then it began to ramble while he killed off too many of the main characters. So far, I've enjoyed the series. In all likelihood I may actually enjoy the series more than the books strictly from an editing perspective. I know, I may have spoken blasphemy.

Dexter
Spartacus
Game of Thrones
Scrubs
Don't have a 5th. Rarely get to watch TV but I hear vikings is good. Gonna check that out next.

Remember Daniel not to to unbalance the game.
Who me?
;)I would think it was apparent from the multiple char Deaths I optimize chars specifically because I lack the patience fpr proper tactics.
CHARGE!!
Tip: the Brawler is Hyperspecialized at locking down ADJACENT opponents....sucks at ranged combat and cannot fly....
