This is Council of Thieves AP. Westcrown, City of Twilight, once was the center of Aroden's faith, but now it symbolizes despair. By day, the city remains a vibrant center of trade; but, by night only those with a death wish venture out.
Well, we can't send just anyone in there, even if they are invisible. Given the amount of traps we have already been through, that room is sure to be trapped at well and even an invisible person could set things off.
We should also be wary of anymore gate traps meant to separate our groups and be cautious just porting ahead too far.
Remember that rushing ahead in tends to get us killed.
Lucrezia knows me well...I just adore traps, there are never enough of them in the published material and the the published ones are so anticlimactic in nature, therefore the DM must use some creativity.
Is anyone familiar or interested in Realm Works, by Lone Wold development, the makers of Herolab? It's a campaign management system for DMs and Players. It comes out in July and tinkering with the idea of getting it.

Faelyn and Orsin just seem to be busy today with work and school. Even though it is right now not very favorable, Andrea can't complain about being trapped between two men. ;)
I'm going to call it a night. That will give Daniel a chance to take his own action, figured he needs it after his interview. Orsin usually checks in late, so perhaps he'll post.
Looks like I'll be DMPC'ing Faelyn during the remainder of the sewer, RL getting in the way with his gaming.
Each of these fingerless worked leather gloves look as though they have seen heavy use, and often bear the stains or scent of grass or wet mud.
On command, the wearer can use the gloves to see and hear though solid material no more than 15 feet thick by placing both hands on that material. The gloves can be used for 10 rounds each day. The rounds need not be consecutive.
It says the person can see and hear through material no more than 15 feet but it doesn't say that you get normal perception thereafter. Otherwise you get up to 15 feet of extended sight, through objects, plus your dark or lowlight on top of it for a pretty inexpensive item.
You have a link where the items been discussed for me to look at?

I never read up on them. I'm not saying they confer any enhancement to vision. I had Luc try for RP, not because she has low-light. Actually I keep forgetting she's a half elf.
The text seems pretty straight forward. I thought of things to justify Gerard's against all odds solo survival. You can't really scry for extended periods. 3 sec at a time, 10 times. Snapshots. Limited by vantage. Could be looking to a wall because door opens to a hall that goes right or left. Or other side is deeper darkness. A tapestry.
Might have gotten lucky this time, but how is that different than winning init, or critting, etc...
Not arguing and will abide by what you say, but it is RAW. Not cheating.

Nobody mentioned cheating it's difference of interpretation of the RAW. It really doesn't matter, I'll let the wearer see/hear a total of their vision inclusive of the solid material.
Ckairexxxx says c doesn't allow darkvision/low-light, so since it's the requirement... This probably doesn't allow it either.
No idea what your referring to with the second part of your comment.
As far as the distance is concerned. If you have 60 foot of darkvision, that begins where the PC is located not at other side of the wall. In otherwords, you don't get up to 15 feet of X-ray vision/hearing then 60 feet of darkvision.

That's great. I was just further restricting based on required spell for the item.

"Unlike other scrying spells, this spell does not allow magically or supernaturally enhanced senses to work through it. If the chosen locale is magically dark, you see nothing. If it is naturally pitch black, you can see in a 10-foot radius around the center of the spell's effect."
