Roll initiatives, please, including for the NPCs. However, only Anevia isn't surprised. Please also place them and yourselves on this map. Fairly self-explanatory - the black blobs are the statues.

Mulluq & Rhok

Male Human (Kellid) Oracle of the Apocalypse 3

I've been Horgus' minder previously, so I'll be relatively close to him. I'll start in J9. Initiative 11+6=17.

For the DM:

Spoiler:
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
1d8 ⇒ 7
1d8 ⇒ 8
1d8 ⇒ 8
1d8 ⇒ 3

Everyone is surprised except Anevia, so we can run the surprise round now even without Mulluq's initiative and position.

Anevia fumbles for her bow.

That's Anevia's action. Meanwhile, there are three attacks - one on Mulluq, one on Horgus and one of Aravashnial. Of course, you are all flat-footed.
Mulluq 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 to hit, damage 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 and if that hits you may be grabbed, 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 v your CMD
Horgus 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 to hit, damage 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 and if that hits you may be grabbed, 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17 v your CMD (13 for Horgus)
Aravashnial 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 to hit, damage 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 and if that hits you may be grabbed, 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20 v your CMD (13 for Aravashnial)

Black leathery things about five feet across drop from the ceiling. One lands on Mulluq and another on Horgus while a third thuds to the ground inches from Aravashnial, making the blind man start and stagger wildly. The one hitting Mulluq scrambles for purchase on the paladin's metal armour with squirming tentacles, an extensible rasping mouth scraping towards his bare flesh. Horgus gives a muffled scream as his attacker engulfs his entire head.

Need Mulluq's initiative and position (so I can place him and BLT1). Then it is most likely Hannik.

Jod's sword is in hand and he's confident the tiefling paladin can handle a leather bag, so it's probably pretty obvious to Hannik & Co. that the young ranger is turning to deal with the creature that missed the blinded wizard.

I'm a little hesitant to take a swing with the falchion at a bag-wearing friend lest the sword pass right through.

Just to let you all know, I like the old 3.5 rule that if you use a weapon to attack into a grapple you have a 50/50 chance of hitting either grappler. You can, of course, join in with an existing grapple to provide an ally with assistance.

Aravashnial

HP 34/34 | Init +2 | AC 16 T 12 FF 14 | CMD 15 | F +3 R +3 W +4 | Per +1 | MP: 7/7

I must have still been asleep when I read your earlier post. Somehow I thought you were doing the exact opposite and going after the one on Mulluq.
I said L10 for a "potential" flank with Rhok under the assumption you were leaving and he would slide over with a 5ft step.

Let's revise.
Eagle appears in I8 and attacks BLT2

The eagle tears into the creature settled over Horgus' face.

OK, each of those attacks has a 50% chance of hitting Horgus instead of the creature.

Jod's slash makes the creature quiver, tentacles waving.

Aravashnial will try to step away. Howeve, since he's blind and doesn't actually know where the creature is, it'll be in a random direction and at half speed. He'll provoke an AoO anyway but if he steps on the thing he'll stop moving and it might get a chance to grapple him.

Eeny, meeny... Working as north being 1 and working round clockwise 1d8 ⇒ 1

AoO 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 to hit, damage 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Aravashnial staggers away, the creature lashing out and walloping him as he goes.

Anevia shoots at BLT3
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 to hit, damage 1d6 ⇒ 3

Anevia takes aim with her bow at the one of the floor, but Arashnial staggering through her line of sight puts off her aim.

BLT 1 and BLT2 with attempt to maintain their grapples and inflict damage, while BLT 3 shifts 5' and casts Darkness.
BLT 1 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 v CMD, damage 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
BLT 2 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 v CMD, damage 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

The creature hanging on to Mulluq still can't get a proper grip, but the one on Horgus continues to squeeze mercilessly. Suddenly, in the middle of the room it all goes dark.

It counts as total darkness in the are as marked on the map.

Map updated.

Between them, Mulluq and Sol team up to dispatch another of the creatures. It is not often that a paladin bites his enemies to death.

Kira steps up to stab with her sword. But the creature is surprisingly nimble for a flapping piece of black leather.

I put Kira in H8. Horgus is unconscious and doesn't threaten, and Anevia is currently unarmed and probably doesn't threaten. But the summoned dog definitely threatens. But you still miss.
