With the Shoanti brothers on the warpath and the impending threat of the yrthak apparently neutralized by his cousin's spell, the mage sets his sights further down the road to the remaining giants closing in on Alwyn and Hudak. Gaining a bit of altitude for a better angle, the mage rises up and unleashes yet another of his signature fireballs.

Move straight up 30' altitude. With the bonus from the fly spell, I cannot fail the DC 20 check to move vertically (my total bonus is +21). Then cast fireball centered at AL-AM/92-93. 10d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 6, 3, 4, 3, 1, 2, 4) + 4 = 35 fire damage, Reflex DC 21 half.

"Artillery inbound!" he shouts as the bead streaks in across the sky before detonating in a torrent of flame.

More crazy saves from the stony guys.

Flame blossoms around the giants. It also blossoms around the buildings they are next to, as Vethran inadvertantly sets fire to the fish market and the other nearby sheds, shops and homes.

The crippled yrthak flies on unsteadily, the fight gone out of it. Something else comes out of it as well as it gives a mournful groan, spraying the street where Illes stands.

As the yrthak flies out of Sefayll's view behind one of the buildings, the signifier curses her foolishness - of course that was going to happen! where did you think he was going to go! - and realizes that the Shoanti have both moved well away from her position. She follows them move and a half to AB82.


One of the giants takes his courage - and stone club - in both hands and charges at Alwyn, hoping to take him down with a single massive blow. The other hurls barrels of fish at him.

Giant 6 charges Alwyn.

Giant 7 throws two barrels at Alwyn.

Camlo moves to the end of the alley and scopes out the scene. He waits there for an opportunity to surprise the giant with a well-placed bolt.

Meanwhile, Sefayll watches for the return of the one that fled.

Perception is at most a Move action, so Sefayll has a move action left if you want it.

Several bedraggled, slime slicked Illes rush into the market square. Mid run he slips back into the normal time flow, once again in sync with the world around him.

Reasonably sure that the brothers have things in the square under control, the Varisian looks around for locals in danger or further fronts in the assault on the village.

Move Action:Perception with Good Hope: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 10 + 2 = 17

I'll see about a standard action based on the result, but it will probably be another move action, so feel free to move on in the meantime.

Realizing that Illes' spell will not hold out forever, Vethran circles back towards the nauseated yrthak and unleashes a volley of searing beams in its direction.

Move to AO-49, increase elevation by 10' and cast scorching ray at the puking yrthak. 3 rays: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 vs. touch AC for 4d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 5) + 4 = 15 fire damage. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 vs. touch AC for 4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 4, 3) = 14 fire damage. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17 vs. touch AC for 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 3, 1) = 9 fire damage.

OK, as Haste has expired...

The giant is running on fumes (a very medieval metaphor there) but manages to dodge and parry Alwyn's over-confident attacks.

Camlo - again, he's out of town so someone please take his actions.


The website is just awful at the moment. Accessing these threads through the sub-forums is virtually impossible on my home computer - a bit better on my work comouter but not much and I hardly want to use that for all my D&D. Anyway, found a way through the back door so here I am to update. Sorry for any delays - but blame Paizo.

Sefayll pickes up the thoughts of her companions, and the giant as it faces Alwyn and Hudak. In the houses and shops abround and about more people huddle and hunker down to hide from the assault on the town. But she can't seem to detect the other giant which disappeared into the alleys.

The giant tries a last desperate strike.

I have not had issues with being notified of new messages. They may have done something your browser doesn't like, but I would not say the site's totally screwed. Have you inquired of the web admins to see if what you are seeing is something they're aware of?


I'm logged on. There's an ongoing problem where I can't open the sub-forums, and as far as I can tell others are having it too (or were). It seems oddly specific - I've actually not had a problem with Chrome just now but IE9 is a disaster.
