Friends, Romans and countrymen, lend me a short span of your attention. As some of you are aware, we have lost a couple of players from the (first) Eberron game and their return isn't looking all that imminent. Currently, as an offer only to those who are playing in the second Eberron game at the moment (and not in the first Eberron game), I'm wondering if any of you would be interested in branching out further into Eberron. I'm effectively offering current players first refusal to play in the first Eberron game. At the moment the other players in the Eberron game are less interested in recruiting externally, hence the cliquey approach. The discussion thread is here.
I'd be interested.
I'd also be interested in playing Vaard in this Campaign again as well now that my life is starting to stabilize once more, assuming that is possible of course.

If you are interested in the Eberron game, please post on the discussion thread there.

Very happy for you to take up Vaard again. In the nick of time - I was just about to write him out.

The Depths
Is this the location where Ashshar and the rest got their magical items made?
to be honest i am not sure we finished that, i certainly didnt apply anything i was supposed to have made. i believe (if memory serves) we were in something of a time crunch and i didnt have time (plus people were being famously noncommittal about what they wanted).
it'll be a few days IRL before i can go back and check for sure, so if someone wants to dig up the facts for me, i'd be much obliged. otherwise, i will do it by a week from now probably.
Vaard Ono'barv of the Flame |
Yes, the shulassakar were going to equip you according to your shopping lists, but you dashed into the Depths before they had time to create much for you. You can complete that now if you haven't already.
I found my list, will add the items to my inventory.
Nalverren |
I still need more time to handle that stuff. i have guests coming over for two weeks and the wife insists I do my share of cleaning.
Vaard Ono'barv of the Flame |
Based on XP should we be level 6 or 7?
Cole. |
The Depths crew is at 23,799, which is level 7.
Sorry about my absence the last few days. I got overwhelmed at work and were in the middle of trying to get our house sold. Not so much fun lately. Hopefully that'll come once we're actually resettled.
Vaard Ono'barv of the Flame |
Thanks Cole! Good luck with the move and sale.
I'll level when I have a moment.

Yes. The general rule is that all PCs have the same number of xp. Because the party is split, the two groups have different xp totals (a situation I will endeavour to rectify) but within the groups you should have the same xp totals as your fellow group members.
Nalverren |
itll be a bit until i can level up as i have guests in town and i am generally slow at that task as a general rule. I will rectify as soon as possible.
Nalverren |

Don't wanna clutter the game thread with this discussion so...
@Aubrey: So normally stuff that isn't armor or weapons resize to fit wearer. Does this apply to the rest or are these exceptions? Just want to make sure.
So about loot with assumption that normal things apply:
1)Armors are small so no use to us other than selling them.
2) Headband of wisdom, As Wultram and Tal both have one, might as well hand it to Rehil for the moment(sell later if Rehil doesn't want to keep it)
3) Scroll of owls wisdom, hand it to Tal as he has it in his spell list (Rehil sorta does but I am not sure if he has spell casting yet?) Granted pretty sure that thing is going into the sell pile eventually.
4) Potions of CLW, just hand everyone 3?
5) Oils of magical weapon, same but hand wultrams to skelly.
6) Cloak of resistance +1, This is the only non obvious one as far as I see?
Saves:(I did not include conditionals for simplicity)
Wultram: Fort +3, Ref +3, Will +5
Rehil: Fort +4 Reflex +9 Will +3 (Will raise what depends on what level he is taking next)
Tal: Fort +10, Ref +9, Will +13
Given that Tal has the highest saves by far, would be bit wasted on him IMO. And looking at gear we are sporting atm, Rehil has the lowest value so give it to him?
Suggestion, opinions and all that are welcome.
@Aubrey: If skelly finds something suitable I am gonna need to know what. And regardless if it does or does not, I am going to need HDs of the critters for animate dead purposes. Stats too but no hurry on those since I reckon we will be in RP mode for a while.
Wultram |
Yeah, Wultram would at least get some adtional protection for them. Preference on Carvers. I will post something tomorrow regarding that. Now I gotta head to bed.

Aubrey, do you have any objection to taking the skirmisher archetype from the advanced player's guide? It's Paizo's spell-less ranger. Rehil will pick up 'hunter's tricks' starting at 5th (ranger) level and every 2 levels thereafter. Because it swaps out spell ability (which Rehil would just get now) for the tricks, there's no retro-active disturbance of game history so far. And a spell-casting Rehil just wouldn't be right.
And hunter's bond. I had a PC once where part of his schtick was having animal companions that would all die tragically and frequently, even wrote it into his background. Don't feel like repeating that, so I'll take the friends and family version. It might be useful after hitting 5th ranger level when I can take a new favored enemy.
7th level HP roll: 1d8 ⇒ 3
And we house rule that to 4.
