Talky Vaard is already making people feel uncomfortable ;-)

Funny story... As I don't need to eat or sleep you can have the bedroll and the mess kit and the pot and the rations and water skins. Did I need to list each item? probably not but I want you to know how generous I am... haha
Don't need to eat or sleep?

Rehil Ecraish |

That arrangement is certainly more civilized than looting your dead body.
And we'll have two watchers all night long. And we won't need 12 hour rest stops.
That's a very handy ability.

General Tal |

Because this may be relevant soon I need to ask. Can I draw all of my gladiuss... gladii... bladed pointy things with a handle at once with the multi-weapon fighting feat or just two at a time as it says with two weapon fighting?

General Tal |

Has Wultram spoken with the dead while Tal has been present? I read that Tal is barely tolerating the skeli champion and would definitely not ride an undead mount. Would he be opposed to asking the dead questions then letting them return to their rest? I've been trying to read up on the Eberron pantheon but finding detailed info for free is eluding me.

Wultram |
He hasn't we got 3rd level spells quite recently. Tal is part of clergy and speak with dead is on the cleric spell list so I suppose it is possible that he would have encountered it before. Skill values is another tool to figure out if he would know of something.
I would assume most paladins would not object to asking dead people guestions. However forcing them out of them might be a different story. Anyways there isn't precedent for the matter so feel free to go with what you think is right.

Had a very good holiday, first half in the Dordogne and the second half by the seaside in Arcachon. Don't know about you guys when you are on holiday, but I had a few moments where I was thinking, "This would be cool in a D&D game".
First off, saw some cave art in Lascaux IV (which is a mock-up) and Rouffignac (which were real, and reached by an underground train about 1km long). This was cool, not just for the art but also for the caves themselves (very old school D&D). We also visited La Roque-Gageac and Rocamadour. Both of these are towns built into valley sides, some with troglodyte dwellings, and Rocamadour is also a site of religious pilgrimage with multiple shrines and a processional way with two hundred steps. All got the imagination going.

Wultram |
So what you are saying is that we should start investing in tremorsense and ranks in to spelunking?
And yeah that does happen to me, though it is more in general this would make a good rpg thing. Granted it isn't usually a location that gives inspiration.
Finallly welcome back.

James is only six and although I've played a couple of Pathfinder sessions with him (which he enjoyed) he's hardly a diehard gamer. He wasn't all that interested in the cave painting stuff, but he really loved the underground train. But I think he enjoyed the second week at the beach more. I forgot to mention we where we stayed was near the biggest dune in Europe, the Dune of Pilat. We didn't even countenance climbing it (climbing a sand dune is bad enough when it isn't 100m high) but it was massive - you could see these tiny black dots which were people climbing it when we drove past on the way to a beach just to the south.

Often I find that if I fall behind in updates, I need to make time to simply update a Discussion Thread to inform the PCs of a particular game that I am either going to be posting later in the day or week or will be on a break form the boards for one reason or another.
To save time updating so many damn threads I am going to open this thread and link all of my DM aliases (and PC aliases) to this thread to inform people as to my status. So if I am missing for a time, just go ahead and click on the link in my Avatar and you will be able to ascertain my board status.
My sincerest apologies if this is a bit of an inconvenience where you are waiting on me for an action but posting "I will be away for the next 3 days" 47 times (or more) is just not working for me any longer. Thank you for your understanding!

Guys, you have probably noticed my rate of posting has dwindled a lot lately. It's partly pressure of Real Life, but also mainly (and not unconnectedly) that the wells of inspiration are running dry a bit. For at least two of the games I need to have a serious think about what happens next and I haven't really had the chance to do that, and right now it's a bit like staring at a blank sheet of paper and not knowing what to write.
I am on holiday from this Friday for a week and would be out of connection anyway. However, I intend to take a break from the games I am GMing until early September. I will use this time to try and plan ahead a bit so I can return to the games a bit more refreshed and with a Plan (or Plans). Apologies, as we are in the middle of things in pretty much all the games, but hopefully this will allow me to focus a bit more.
For the games I am not running, I will post as normal (although there is still that holiday).

Vaard Ono'barv of the Flame |

Understood I did the same thing myself last month. Enjoy the break!

Wultram |
Yeah no pressure breaks can do wonders. And yeah why put the effort in if it isn't fun now. Besides this thing is years old, I am sure we can handle a little delay.

Tal'Va'Nocht |

Sorry to bother, can I get delisted from the game so it doesn't show up on my campaign tab? Thanks.

Hi chaps, we are looking for two PCs to replace those lost to attrition in my Rise of the Runelords game. We need a divine type and a melee type primarily. Giving first refusal to existing players in my games, otherwise I'll go to general recruitment. Cheers!

Thanks Aubrey but I run that game so I will have to pass :-)

Ashshar |

Thanks for the offer, but my opinion on paizos ability to create adventures is in the same region as Wultrams opinion on worshippers of Silver flame :p
Man, that is cold... Cold as the dead, which is appropiate.
@Aubrey: I have always wanted to play RotR, and both divine and melee are my usual schtick so that's a match made in heaven (pun intended).

Eben TheQuiet |

I also appreciate the offer. Interestingly enough, your RotRL game was one of the first PbP's I read (as an introduction to the medium). Huuuuudaaaaak!, Elisile, the karnathi mage, the pragmatic ranger, LIghtbringer (a warforged pally, right?) ... at least that's how I remember the game starting. :)
If I weren't already in a game, I'd accept. Alas, I am.

![]() |

OK, we are fairly advanced in the game - I think the PCs are 11th level and we have just finished the 4th book. That said, we won't really be doing the 5th book as I have something else planned before we go for the 6th book. Emissary, please look on this thread for the discussion and we can throw around some ideas.

No response comes the mages attention now elsewhere.
I am kinda expecting call to initiative time?
Also he is not answering cause he has started casting magic, and given verbal components... Oh and I did post a reply to the original just in case you missed that one.
I saw the reply. The pause in posting just gave me a chance to RP Rehil getting nervous that Wultram didn't kill it instantly. Lack of a reply while you cast is more than fine.

Hey, guys, just wanted to apologize and update. Work and life are eating up all my time (and mental energy). Sorry i have been absent. i likely won't be able to really post meaningfully (or really even catch up) until next week.
Sorry. :/
