You said that while I was in the temple as I thought that meant dont touch the glass ceiling. Did we see any of the dragons get consumed while over the paths? if so then that would have precluded me from doing so. I dont mean to be whiny but dying over a misunderstanding is the worst way I can think of going out.
Ravingdork
Yes, the GM's descriptions can be somewhat unclear at times. The many typos don't help to promote understanding either.
I too need to head off to bed. I will linger for another 20 minutes or so in hopes of finishing the first round.
I dont mean to be whiny but dying over a misunderstanding is the worst way I can think of going out.
I totally agree. If that happened to me in a live game, I would be totally up in arms.

@ Diajoubu: Truth be told, I'm a bit unsure as to what's going on at the moment. Am I missing something?
Edit: Nevermind, I see the initiative shows an updated R.I.P. for Jezebel. I was confused where that development had come from.
Just incidentally though, we're still missing two players, yes? Shouldn't we at least be waiting for them anyway?
Darkwolf117
Well, I sympathize on the 'that sucks.'
I apologize in advance if Varin makes a mocking quip of some sort on your death (if he notices anyway. Ooc, I didn't even know what happened at first). But he's got a fairly grim sense of humor so... ya know. No hard feelings or anything.
And if you do join the Academy, that'd be cool.

....
I'm rather confused by what all is going on at this point. I tried reading everything, but I still don't know why we're rolling two initiatives (I see that we are, and where they're recorded, but not where they were asked for), why Jezebel got incinerated (Isn't the temple and everything around it for a mile marked as stone? Is there a 6-mile-long tunnel leaving the temple area?), what the physical area looks like (Are we in a room which is a mile across and only 20' high?), and what we're doing now.
That being said, I'll go make a post to wake up and get my initiatives in.
Ravingdork
Are we in a room which is a mile across and only 20' high?
Where on the map are we? How are we even supposed to navigate on this thing?
I can answer these.
Yes, the "temple," which is one mile across and has a 20-foot high ceiling, is located at the very center of the map. That's where everyone has started out (and to my knowledge hasn't left yet). When not in combat, you use your overland movement by the hour. To keep things organized and everyone in the same time frame, out of combat action has its own kind of initiative.
Also do you really think its a good idea to kill of jezebel like this? The initiative sheet says we have only 9 players now , so how do you intend to make the pairings?
I think this is going to be more of a Hunger Games styled competition, where pairing up competitors doesn't really matter.
Ravingdork
I'm going to be available for games most nights from 7pm to 12am (Eastern standard time).
It seems our last two competitors are morning people. We should try and set up a regular schedule, if possible, to make this game go more quickly and efficiently.

I'm a "switch poster". Many nights (but sometimes not until late), some mornings, occasionally during my lunch break (as now)... Evenings are the best for me overall, but there's no gurantee I'll be free on any given night.
I also often follow the thread from my phone and can post a reply if neccesary to keep things moving, but I can't do anything too involved. (Typing tags from the phone is painful.)
But yes, I totally agree that we need some kind of basic schedule to make this happen. I saw the map had been posted last night during my tabletop game, but I didn't realize we were starting last night until I'd had a chance to catch up this morning (and I'm still not quite sure how far we've gotten). Should I be checking in repeatedly in the evenings?

Did anyone get a briefing as to what to do? I mean should we just walk somewhere or what?
From what I've gathered we are combat and you you have several options. The first being that you fight with everyone in the confined space and hope for the best. The second you run away in attempt not to be slaughtered immediately. Finally you could do something in between these options or something else entirely. We are just going in combat initiate until you are out of danager/dead I think, I'm assuming if you sprint away as fast as you can you wont be in combat anymore.
The above is what I BELIEVE to be happening, I could be wrong.

I think I remember something about having 5 minutes to escape the area. I'm not sure what was happening to make us want to flee though.
Darkwolf117
In order to not offend our dragon-like rival by killing real dragons I gathered.
I was wondering about that. Varin just got a little nervous when a flock of seemingly-dragons got incinerated. Otherwise he's cool with it.
But yes, they seem to be zombies after being melted in lava for a few seconds. Although, I suppose after being submerged in lava, most things probably would look similar...
Wait, did Jezebel teleport into lava? Because that's not really allowed to happen. If she was going to teleport into an occupied square she would have shunted to the closest unoccupied square, which probably would have been on the path.
From what I gathered, she teleported too far above the arena, or something like that? I'm not all that sure, however.
Honestly, that seems like a pretty silly way to go though. It doesn't sound like a 'too stupid to live' scenario, it just sounds like a misunderstanding on what was dangerous and what wasn't. Considering how early in the game it is, I'd be inclined to say that could deserve some alteration, but that's MotG's prerogative.

Might I make a request that relevant links be posted on the Campaign Info page here? Primarily, I just wanted to check the initiative page, and it's a bit annoying to dig through the thread. (I could bookmark it, and I probably will, but still seems like something that would be worth having readily available.)

Also, do I need to make another 179 saves? Cause, if I do, even averaging 2 damage per fireball, I think I go down.
