The Gods call upon the Mightiest of Heroes to participate in the greatest challenge they will ever face.
OK. If you guys want to do the MMO-Style Campaign we can start as soon as you complete a character.
@Steven T. Helt: All I can think of is the scene from Brave where the guy says What to the Gibberish speaking guy.
Oh. I don't remember exactly. Did I say something unclear? Sorry.
It was just at first reading it I was partially distracted and had to reread it to understand it. Still not sure I completely comprehend it though.
Oh. I was saying I spent the time to make a tough 20th level character, so the pvp game is my preference. And the idea of having to craft links to every single spell just feels like work. DO I misunderstand your rule on that?
Oh that was in reference to any Spell not in an approved. source that you wanted me to look at. I need to go back and edit that. Originally it was going to be having a link on your alias to the Spell for easy reference.
I would still prefer you to have them just for reference and such but they aren't necessary.
And to be honest... I forgot how much I hate making Large Maps...
Don't suppose anyone could tell me how many 1-mile hexes are in a 6-mile hex...
I'm not such a gaming math wiz. My first question is six miles on a side or six miles across?
My spells are only from the four basic rulebooks. Mostly just the CRB. Are folk asking for Spell Comendium or 3rd party spells?
6-Miles Across.
So far the only spells outside of the basic PRD books have been added by me.
Now I have receive around 13 e-mailed Stat Blocks that aren't even legal in the slightest bit.
3(or 4) of them had a 25+ RP race they built themselves.
Well, heck..if i could build my own race. : b
Where's the list of spells you added outside the PRD? I have an available 5th and 7th level slot to find something that speaks to me.
Actually on that note, I ran into this spell, and saw it isn't in one of the usual books. So, I'm curious, would you include it?
@ Steven: It's been awhile since I checked, but I think they were being added to the document that lists character creation rules and such.
They are with in the creation guidelines. Scroll down.
And Boneshatter will be added to the Approved list...
Simply for its cruelty.
EDIT: Additionally, I have altered the document.
All characters gain 2 Traits.

Well. Now I feel like I need to take it, just to be mean to people }:)
I hope more people double check this simply for the Trait changes.
Also can I get another role call on who wants in.
I'm still in. And so I suppose I should think about some traits now. Just out of curiosity, what prompted that change?
Just decided to add it to see the increase in power of the Combatants.
Also after this if you guys want I will run the other campaign.
Almost finished with Shale!
No Offense but I have built 15 Level 20 characters in the time you guys have taken.
I'm still in. Also, I am making some minor changes to my character, all changes (not quite done yet) have been noted at the bottom of the stat block on the Google Doc.
Edit: Also sent you a PM for a favor.
To Everyone: Be sure to double check your characters against the approved content list.
If you are caught with unapproved content after the start of the Arena you will be removed from the game and your approved gear will be scattered around the arena in grab bags for the remaining contestants.
Also I am going to be editing the Deadlines again this time in favor of getting this thing started sooner.
& remember 2 Traits are now available WITHOUT a feat.
Dude...boneshatter is a great spell. Divine casters so badly need a few more damagine spells!
Steven T. Helt wrote: Dude...boneshatter is a great spell. Divine casters so badly need a few more damagine spells! Well, on that note, this is another one I happened across. Nonlethal damage, but it's basically a scorching ray to available clerics/oracles (and sorcerers/wizards but they've got... well, scorching ray and such).
Dunno what class you are, but if you are a caster, this has been quite useful to me.
Gotta find spells don't you...
Hey, it was moderately related to the topic at hand, what can I say? :P
By the Way a New Item is added to the Approved List.
And I understand why you posted it.
Heh, I know, I'm just bringing up so many things for you to look over though, huh?
Also, I see there is a statblock deadline, and an alias deadline. What's the difference exactly? I'm guessing just to have an alias on here, while the statblock has all the... well, stats, I assume?
In that case, what kind of info would we put on the Alias? Name, understandably, and... anything else?
Stat Blocks will be to make sure no major changes based on seeing the other characters happen.
For the Alias I would like it to have all relevant combat info.
This is to make sure everything is legal.
NOTE: If you have an illegal item you won't be able to replace it. You will simply suffer a loss. Though if it is something like a Weapon Enchantment on the wrong type of weapon you simply lose the enchantment not the whole weapon.
Okay, so in that case, we don't want the alias set up until after the deadline for stats? Then at that point we'll basically just fill in all the relevant info?
Works for me.

Exactly. I figured I might miss something and then you guys could critique and point out anything I happened to miss.
You guys still open for new entries/is the deadline for stats still the 17th of January? If the answer to these is yes, I'm new to PbP, but I want in. Been DMing and playing a lot of pathfinder, but I've never had the chance to try a level 20 build.
We are still open. Until the 17th at least.
This is my first true PbP as a GM. I played in the Level 11 Arena which was my first true PbP as a Player.
I have only done In Person & PbC.

Cool. Glad to know I'm not alone. Working on build as we speak and should have it to you in the near future.
Quick query about whether you'd like to allow the "Dueling" enchantment from pg. 50 of the Pathfinder Society Field Guide (Different from the "Dueling" enchantment in the APG and UE). The RAW text is as follows.
Crap I knew it was a matter of time before someone asked that...
I won't be able to add it until later today (it is 00:15 here).
But yes Dueling(PFSFG) is legal. List it as I have here and please provide a link to it via PM if you haven't already.
So whats going on now? Arena or MMO? I have my Lvl 20 build pretty much finished(actually I have two builds gotta figure out wich one to use). But I would play the other campaign too.
It will be an Arena.
The Sandbox will be set-up after the Arena.
Be sure to check the Guidelines for how you are determined to have lost.
And what happens when you lose.
Still working on a completed character. I am really almost finished, but like the rest of this month, I have a team to manage and I have a crappy night planned with irritating in-laws and ex's. Happy New Year to everyone who isn't me. :{

Wait... Did I just insult myself again?
Master Of The Games wrote: It will be an Arena. I'd finished my character, but had forgotten to submit him since the thread had died.
Before I do, what is the ceiling/upper height limit going to be? Are we fighting indoors? Outside? Both?
You should prep for everything.
Almost done with two concepts...can't decide which one I want to submit.
Steven T. Helt wrote: submission tonight. I look forward to your character!
He is a complicated mofo. Hope he's worth the wait!
Steven T. Helt wrote: He is a complicated mofo. Hope he's worth the wait! How are you submitting him?
I'm going to email him, and then when I finish coding all the spells I'll put him wherever you want him.
