Okay so I guess do to problems with time constraints to actually GM this I will make this into a Campaign Setting Thread and have this be a detailed File for GMs out there interested in running the Campaign. Maybe even someday expand it to other areas of the settings world. So I guess this will be a Community built setting for players to use.
This is a Campaign I have been working on for a little bit now. I am having problems though and would love to have some community input and feedback though. The Skydrive file will be updated accordingly. It will also contain some basic Campaign stuff like Base NPCs and Key Character information over time. I am planning this for the date set in the file. Please and Thank You.
Well the first Year in Game Time will be a Armistice between the houses enforced by a Larger House. But during this time you will be participating in Tournaments, Mock Battles, and Intrigues. The main reason is to allow people to learn the system. Your brother can join in if he wishes. In fact that could lead to some potentially interesting things. Say connected Houses. Either as Allies, Branches of the same family, or as rivals.
You see Rosy's Missile slam into the Goblin. It then hopes down to present a harder target than the rest. The other 2 move toward the rest of the party. The chanter is within 15 feet of Rosy now. There might be some more days that I won't be able to post or can't post to often. Just wanted to let you all know.
Father Zantus: He looks confused at your question."The Goblins suddenly appeared we have no clue why or how as of yet. Now please excuse me as there are many wounded."He then runs past you. As you turn back towards the temple you see Goblins appear and approach Rosy. There are three of them wielding crude iron daggers and torches. Then you notice that on top of a Cart there is a female Goblin that is Chanting. With a single run turn you will be able to get withing charge range.
Jakob swings and watches the hammer land right next to the Goblin. Khalbar on the other hand swings and splits its skull. As of now you don't see anymore goblins in your immediate area but you see them causing Havoc elsewhere. As you look around you see Father Zantus moving toward you. Father Zantus: As he reaches you he starts panting.[b]"Are you injured?"[b]
Alright a quick update. Seems RPM is down for maintanence or such today hopefully by tomorrow they come back up. Playing the Game of Thrones Mode will be a bit rough as the system I was planning to use won't work. I can probably get a sufficient method up soon or if you guys want to get started ASAP we can go a single united house with each Player controlling a Primary PC and having the Cohort Benefit for free.
Khalbar cleaves one of the Goblins, who was busy stuffing his pants with food, in the back as the Goblin turned to see what the sound was. The Goblin shrieks in Pain as he falls to the ground writhing in Pain. Jakob swings Arzug and nails a Second, who had just lit a cat on fire, in the Back causing it to let out a single Gasp of pain before collapsing on the ground coughing up blood. The last one is to busy laughing as a 4th Goblin falls and impales himself on a Fence.
As the day goes on nothing of major concern happens. At least until... A sharp retort, like the crack of distant thunder, slices through the excited crowd as the sun's setting rays paint the western sky. A stray dog that has crawled under a nearby wagon to sleep starts awake, and the buzz of two dozen conversations quickly hushes as all heads turn toward the central podium, where a beaming Father Zantus has taken the stage. He clears his throat, takes a breath to speak, and suddenly a woman's scream slices through the air. A few moments later, another scream rises, then another. Beyond them, a sudden surge of strange new voices rises high-pitched, tittering shrieks that sound not quite human. The crowd parts and something low to the ground races by, giggling with disturbing glee as the stray dog gives a pained yelp and then collapses with a gurgle, its throat cut open from ear to ear. As blood pools around its head, the raucous sound of a strange song begins, chanted from shrill, scratchy voices. Goblin's Song:
GOBLINS CHEW AND GOBLINS BITE GOBLINS CUT AND GOBLINS FIGHT. STAB THE DOG AND CUT THE HORSE GOBLINS EAT AND TAKE BY FORCE! GOBLINS RACE AND GOBLINS JUMP
CHASE THE BABY, CATCH THE PUP.
Not to far from where you all ended up being around you see 3 Goblins sitting all around the group. Sheriff: "There really was Goblins!? Everyone evacuate the square leave this to the Guards and Soldiers!"
Okay once we finish this Prologue I will ask which mode of play each Player would prefer to play. The Prologue is mainly to learn Playing Styles of the Individuals... Better yet... Why don't we decide on our play style then start the Story... Ok so I have posted up a Document that you guys can comment on to determine the Campaign's Play Style & Region of focus.
Merchant 1: Backs down and turns away. Merchant 2: Sighing in relief."Thank you for your aid. He was trying to force me to give him coin or else he would ruin my business..." Sheriff: He turn to you as he goes to leave."Thanks! I will leave this area for you! I have to get to the main point of celebration to deal with some guards supposedly seeing goblins or such."
It has been posted up in its own Recruitment Thread. I will be having it from Level 2.
You can choose to build either:
The Banner House Means:
Your House's Stats are built as a Banner House (5d6) instead of a Full House (7d6). But you will have the support of a Larger House. Though you would also be expected to answer your Liege's Call to Arms. The Independent House Means:
You get the Full Stats (7d6). But you won't have as potent as a Safety Net. Though you won't have to answer any Call to Arms save for a Greater House's Calls. So in the North you will be safe save for if House Stark calls on you.
A Major Banner House Means:
Your House is similar to the Independent house but has the support and being expected to answer the Call of your Liege Lord. The only real difference is the experience they bring. Though you will be able to control and build all of the Characters in your House. EDIT: Sorry if my PM seemed mean but I want to make sure the answers are collected and to get this to be bumped by any questions.
Alright. You are planning on the Hedge Knight for the Prequel Correct? EDIT: @pocsaclypse(PM):
For a Water Dancer Type. If you use the Braavosi Fighter I you can become very Defensive. Almost as much as a Shield User with Maxed Shield Specialty, the Shield Master Benefit, and a Tower Shield (Easily getting a Defensive +10 or +12 on the Shield from the Start). Though most of the Other 5 Fencing focused benefits, Braavosi Fighter II-III and Water Dancer I-III, are kind of Iffy. They are mostly circumstantial. If you want to have a Potent Character you might go Massive and work in a Good Backstory. EDIT2: If you provide a good Backstory you will be able to get more than one Heritage Quality. But it will need to be a very good one.
