Amazing Red's Mists of Mwangi (Inactive)

Game Master Daxter

Hi all! I am looking to run the PFS module Mist's of Mwangi as a PBP. This module goes up to 5th level, so it is open to characters up to that level. Characters new to PFS must be made according to PFS guidelines. The rules are found here

My Rules: Players must be able to post 1/day. I understand that complications come up, but I would like to finish this mod in a reasonable amount of time. If you cannot find the time to post at least once in any given 24 hour period, do not apply. Table size is anywhere from 3-7, but I will limit my table up to 6 players. I plan to start this Tuesday so I will close recruitment at the end of Monday. Here is the blurb for the scenario:

Pathfinder Lugizar Trantos recently returned from the Mwangi Expanse with haunted eyes and a pack full of strange idols. Absalom's famed Blakros Museum purchased his pieces and Lugizar vanished. The strange monkey idols he pulled from the misty jungles of Mwangi carry with them a fell curse, and now their power has laid claim to the museum. Can the Pathfinder Society uncover the source of the curse in time, or will the Blackros Museum be forever lost to the mists of Mwangi?

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters(Tiers: 1–2, 4–5).

Sovereign Court

I'm in!

5th level Ulfen brawler.

I'm interested, never had a Society game before, so will have to read all the stuff first....

....will come up with a character concept for a fighter type, ranger or fighter probably...

I'm in--elven male witch.

Since this is my first PFS module, do I start the character at level 1 or higher? If I start at level 1, will I survive?

Silver Crusade

I'm also in, although I'd have to do the 1-2 subtier as well, if that's okay.

Great, sign me up please. Either with a witch at lvl 2 (and 2 witches in one adventure would be great), if she gets out of an adventure early enough (could be in day or two), or a new PC.

@) Pendent = Yes, you will have to start at level 1. Yes you will be fine as you can play it at the level 1-2 tier. I will let you know by the end of tommorow.

@)PeteZero = Are you sure you can post 1/day? I really want to keep to that. If you can, I would love to have you along.

@)Menelaus/Deevor = That is fine by me. Just let me know by the end of Monday.

@) Ursus the Breaker = You may want to play a lower level character as it seems as everyone else will be level 1.

P.S. When it comes to combat I would like to communicate through G-chat so we can speed up combats if possible. So if you all can either make a Gmail account or have one, then things can run even smoother.

OK...I'm thinking an Osirion Ranger...I created Zaquielle for a game she didn't get into or didn't last long...I'll do her stats for a society game and somehow get her into the Mwangi setting, but her background should be fairly close to do what I'm thinking.

Maybe it won't matter, but if we're going to have to meet up for chat, doesn't that defeat the purpose of PbP?

Anyway, I'll post with my alias soon and post my character sheet. :D

EDIT: Hrm...can't seem to upload a file. I will have to post it tonight and link to it.

This is Pendent's Character, the Elf Witch Llanier

I think this covers everything except my remaining money. I'll get that tonight.

Hm, seems like the forum at my post. Nevertheless, if you want to use a chat system to meet up for combat, I'd rule lyself out, as this will never work. Otherwise 1x per day posting is fine (no holidays planned).

@)Deevor = Sounds good.

@)Pendent= Nope. G-chat is just for stuff like me telling you that I have posted and am waiting on you to reply and so on and so forth. I will only be doing it for combat for the most part. Using G-chat is how my group got through Cult of the Ebon Destroyers rather quickly. In any case, your character looks legit, however I suggest you take up your con a bit. Having only 6 hp is kinda risky even as level 1.

But I am in a different timezone, so with g-chat will miss too much, unless posting rate stays at once a day, so not for me. Nevertheless, have fun.

Well, that is a shame. Will miss you Pete.

Coming together, I'm afraid I can't install G-chat on my machine, its a work one), that and timezone differences, I will have to dip out too as I can only use the post mechanism. If you can just accept posts, I can post several times a day, in which case count me in.

P.S. Will change Karsielle's melee weapon to some sort of sword (scimitar)....it'll be more in character, but this will have to be my last post tonight.

@) Karsielle = You don't have to install anything, you just have to make a gmail account. But I understand the timezone differences though.

I'll look into G-chat (Google chat, I assume?) I can't make any promises since I can't access it at work.

About all I can do about HPs is change race. Witches start with 6 hp per the GtPFSOP, and elves get a -2 to CON, so it is what it is. I'll switch over to Half-elf tonight. That should help out some.

EDIT: Actually, using chat, I think I'm going to have to back out as well. I was going to just see how it goes, but I don't want to mess up the game by starting and then finding that I can't meet the chat group.

So thanks anyway and good luck! :)

@Pendent = I'm sorry to hear that.

I do not see why using chat to communicate is so unpopular as opposed to posting and waiting a week for a response. It helps streamline so we can move combats along quickly so we can RP some more.

Silver Crusade

Sorry to be 'that guy' as well, but I don't think I'll be able to do the chat either. I think it's a good idea, I just don't think I would be able to get on at a reliable time daily. Sorry, have a fun game!

My big concern is waiting forever for people to post their turn. I can work with people's schedules for it. Excuse me if I'm a little jaded, but I got fed up with waiting for people in one of my other PBPs.

Alright, I am willing to give people a chance. As long as you can post regularly (1/day+), then you don't have to log onto gmail. However, I will boot people if they cannot hold up to their end.

Looks like you got mainly regularly PbP players, in that case count me in, I can make that, at least have something posted when you log in in the morning, maybe more, if you post before early lunch ;)

Sovereign Court

I'm interested in joining if there is a spot left in the group. I'd love to play a cleric or alchemist.

Yes, there is plenty of space open. Make up a character soon though. I would like to close recruitment by the end of the night.

Sovereign Court

Got a cleric named Bartleby ready to go. Before I commit to him though I'd like to work up an alchemist if there is time. It should be ready by tomorrow.

Scarab Sages

I would like to play. 1st level rogue with 2 xp points. I'll get my record updated asap.

@) Kobash = Well, I'm ending recruitment tonight, so the cleric will have to do.

@) Nolin = I will let you know who I pick in about 2 hours.

Scarab Sages

Profile updated. I can send you pdf copies of my chronicle sheets if you would like to review them.

@) Nolin = Don't worry about the Chronicles. I typically don't check chronicles unless I suspect something.

Alright, so these people please report to the OOC thread if you are still interested.

Ursus the Breaker
Nolin Thuendor
Kobash
Petezero

Just click and post in this Link.

Scarab Sages

Darn missed it....

good luck
