I heard they were going to unleash the elemental races as character options and wanted to make a generic wizard and later like August an undine wizard. If the party needs melee I'll go the pregen paladin.
Well as long as you don't play him after you hit level 2, you can rebuild Dain however you like. But if you want credit for a different PC, the pregen works for that.
Female NG Tengu Warpriest/2 - HP 15/15 AC 18/T:14/FF:14 - Perception: +7, Low-Light Vision - Fort: +3, Ref: +4, Will: +6 - CMB: +1, CMD 15 - Speed 30 ft. - Init. +4
Really troubled by the Warpriest. All of its resources are so limited. I am looking forward to swift action divine favor, but I can't figure out how to do a dex build that really takes advantage of it without dual-wielding kukris or something.
I want to do something with Andoliesa that really makes use of the +dex, +wis, and sword proficiencies, but I'm not sure Warpriest is the right fit.
You can do the dual wielding kukris thing. You can do a light weapon + shield and be really tanky. You can dip monk and finesse unarmed strikes. You can go ranged and throw shurikens that hit really hard. Low-level warpriest is like any other low level caster. That's why I hate playing level 1. You'll eventually get enough spells/fervor to become a beast in combat. It just takes some time.
Andoliesa, my 'main' character - warpriest. I assure you, with the receipt of the second level, it will change significantly. I too had such doubts, but fervor is stronger than I thought. The opportunity to buff yourself for the swift action is really cool. And it is important that the blessings were well-chosen.
I have a lvl 11 warpriest of Ragathiel (Good and Law blessings taken). I play hims more of a fighter who self buffs than as a tweeked cleric. He is a front liner who uses quicken blessings and fervor for instant buffs and I usually find the enemies will fall too fast before the buffs run out. He wont have the same number of iterative attacks but when he buffs up... he is better than my lvl 11 fighter.
Congrats to Table 2 for finishing the Evergreen Trilogy(tm)! If there are any issues let me know. Otherwise I'll close the thread for Table 2 in the morning.
