Normally you would never separate the party in a RP game. It bogs everything down and causes periods of boredom for one group or another. Are we actually being encouraged to do that in this scenario?

Hey Y'all.
I have been asked to help with some ballot counting stuff & will not make a post until tomorrow. Sorry about the last minute stuff, but I am quite excited to have been asked. :)

No worries. Exciting night!
(Even if you don't like either candidate, we're about to elect a new president which is pretty cool.)

@Warpac
Bom has a cold iron sword, so he could go after the qlippoth. But I'm definitely going to want Shield Other on him. I was also planning on sending Ulfur to help you flank.
If you've got a plan, call it out to Bom.

I'd like to know how healthy Silas is first. He's a paladin and you know how stubborn they can be - no doubt he will stick with meleeing the monstrosity. Not that he has a choice at the moment. If he is low he is going to need that shield other on him or he faces a serious risk of death. Which is why I wanted to know his hit points. That will also heavily play into whether Warpac wades into it with the beast or finishes the mystic. I REALLY want to avoid a PK.

After my own heal, Silas is currently at 19 HP.

@Warpac -
Nicely done. It looks like the HK should cast shield other on you. Ulfur and I will join in and hopefully I can get a Shield Other next round.

Spoiler tags are to hide information that your character and often your player does not have. It might be that an important plot element hidden there. It might be information that will be revealed with a knowledge check that I don't want to delay three days to reveal because of PbP. It might be that the player in question has information the rest of the table doesn't. Or a rules question or something else that simply takes the reader out of the experience.
In short, please do not read any spoilers unless you meet the requirements (your name or succeeding at the DC. Thank you. :)

I've played PbP for almost five years and I've never seen a GM try and call out or trap a player in such a manner. Not sure what even prompted you to do that. If you think I'm using OOC information, please explain.

Speaking of which, doing a shield other is not going to help much if it is intelligent and split its attacks. But hey, don't listen to me, my wisdom seems to be slipping...
True, but I (as a GM) felt splitting the attacks between 3 is better than 2. I will give it one round to realize that, of course & you will get ALL SIX attacks next time :)

Not sure I understand the logic here?

@Bom/Borax
I was mixing my character and player for humor here. Warpac just lost 4 wisdom and it really had nothing to do with my advice. Sort of like mixing metaphors, it can be confusing :)
Hey, I just saw a post from Borax in the other game. You did the same thing. "I cast Remove Disease"! Oddly, or not so oddly, that had me confused for a couple of seconds as I tried to figure out why your character was casting that particular spell and how he was able to. The irony. Dang that's funny.
@VT
Speaking of the wisdom loss, was there a ST for that or does he take the wisdom damage if he's hit with no ST?

Attacking the tentacle would probably use the sunder rules (see hydra) , but the rules only apply to objects. The damage would not pass onto the creature. The called shots and critical threat card alternate rules might apply. Neither of which are PFS legal (as far as I know).
But it would be cool, so I am open to suggestions :)

Warpac & Silas If you would like to roll your Dayjob, please do. If not I will use the numbers from the beginning of the discussion page.

Day Job Roll: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25

Should we roll for boons?

Don't forget to record the 2 PP spent on the jade wayfinder.

A couple of seasons back they switched to the GM make all the boon rolling.
S: 1d20 ⇒ 14
B: 1d20 ⇒ 15
R: 1d20 ⇒ 8
w: 1d20 ⇒ 15
z: 1d20 ⇒ 3
GM: 1d20 ⇒ 1

Did we get our Chronicles? just wanted to make sure I didn't miss a post or something.
| Venture Teller Play b'Post |
Mostly finished. For your reference only. The real deal will be up Friday or Saturday.

The real deals.
If you do not find your chronicle in your party's folder, please check the other folder. Please also double check that I filled everything out correctly. I did 15 of these and the chances of making a mistake are pretty good. I will take them down after I know everyone has gotten their chronicle, but if for some reason I do so before you get it, I have a copy on my local machine.
Thank you all for sticking through it. I apologize that you did not get the best game I as a GM am capable of. Taking on three tables (even with the same scenario), while playing in five others was too much. I was down to playing in only two by the end and I think the difference is telling. The county fair (my day job) was right in the middle of this so I will be sure to advertise that in next year's recruitment. Again thank you for playing.
I would be happy to run another table for y'all to make up for my poor performance. If you are interested please say so here. I will take a short break from GMing, but collect together those interested in a couple of weeks.
If you have any comments that would improve my GMing, thing that really sucked, things that were slightly suck, and things you like & really like are all welcome.
I understand that Shifty is getting a Blood Under Absalom multi-table event going. Check it out :)
Thanks :)

I sure would. Most of my character's were freed when the game day ended.

Looks good, thanks! I can't say for sure what characters will be available (or how many games I'll be in) in a few weeks so I'd rather not commit to one now.

I received my Chronicle sheet, thank you for running. I'm trying to cut down on my PbP game load, so I'll pass on another scenario. I do appreciate the offer though, thank you.

If Warpac is going to stick around, Bom should be free as well.
Got my Chronicle. Just to verify, we don't get any of the boons associated with the temple correct? You put XX's and the alignment may be slightly off on my PDF viewer.

Warpac just joined (well asked to join) Hungry GhostSince he previously went through a prequel to this adventure.
But, depending on level I should have other interested characters up for something.
Silas Proth

I just remembered that with this game, Silas is now level 8 (I had a lot of credit waiting in the wings). So if we aren't playing 5-9, then I would have to bring a different character.

If any part of a boon is crossed out, it all is. There was a wand in air temple that is also unavailable.
We can choose characters & scenarios later. Feel free to take these characters on another asventure if the opportunity comes along until then. :)

Not everyone has confirmed receiving their chronicle, but it has been a week so I am deactivating this thread. I will leave the chronicles live for a bit, but please let me know if you visit this thread aand need something after then.
For those of you who have said you are interested in another table later, I will be in touch in another week or so.
