Pharris' wish list
From what you said about level appropriate I had a look at the DMG PC wealth for 4th level and it says 5,400gp, with 5th at 9,000gp. Using that as a guide and still keeping the low magic feel of your campaign (which we all seem to like) I have guessed at around the 1,000-2,500gp range.
1) pretty +1 chain shirt .
2) boots or cloak of elvenkind, preferably boots in green or black, low heels too.
Thanks

Guys, can you each provide me with a short wish-list of two items (magical or otherwise) that you would like your character to have?
I’ll see about working them in as treasure or whatever in upcoming parts of the game. Hint: stuff that is thematically and level appropriate will see you more of a chance of getting it sooner!
I honestly don't have a wish list... surprise me!

Ragadolf |

Wow! I get a wish!?!
(Can I wish for more wishes?) ;P
Hm,... Let me think.
At first thought, something like a pearl of power for a 1st or 2nd lvl spell, or a spellshard attuned to either Magic Missile or Scorching Ray. Both of those are pretty level appropriate I think, if not a tad low for the 1st lvl pearl. Both of those will help him fulfill his role as the party's 'blaster-caster'.
Otherwise, I would love to discover something that goes with his heritage. (Can't think of what that might BE off hand, you're welcome to surprise me!) Or a runestaff with a 1st or 2nd lvl spell in it that he doesn't know. That will allow him to be more flexible without becoming overpowered. (In case you don't recall, Runestaffs are in the MIC, and allow a caster to use a spell or slot to power the spell in the staff.) But Kajetan seems to have the whole flexibility thing covered, and I wouldn't want to step on his toes! (He's so much smarter than Nicholai it's not even funny!)
OK, I'll just stop now! ;)

*sits on Moth's lap*
Dear Moth. For loot-day I want a pony and one of those plastic rocketships.
Surprise me. Preferrably something with some flair, and that fits the swashbuckler/duelist kind of theme.
My Alton alias randomly started showing up again. I don't know why it disappears sometimes.

On the one hand I could see Pharris just pulling off her top and drying herself down, as a sign that the elves do not have any secrets about their bodies, that they live in tight knit communities and privacy is not even an issue when you know someone for 100 years or more.
But that seems a slightly cheap shot for some reason. An easy way out and ham-fisted to boot. I keep hoping that she will get taken into negatives and a PC will find her pointed ears.
In the long run I would like one or two of the party to share the secret, a bit like Chandler and Monica in Friends where one by one everyone gets to know. However I doubt it will happen. having said that I would bet money that Twiceborn and Ash both know what is going in. Possibly even the other two.
Would it be possible for there to be a glade with a pool or waterfall when we rest where she can go off one night to be all elven? Or something like the waymeets I introduced that only elves know about. Random thoughts. With the pool idea then it gives one of them the chance to spy her singing etc and Pharris to come clean.
I suppose the bottom line is that the Pharris secret is not something that I'd like to go on passed its sell-by-date when PC's don't know but all the players do.

FW:
If you want things to happen now, we can say that the water has washed away her makeup somewhat, and unravelled her hair – I can get everyone a spot check to notice the ears. OR I can give everyone (or some of the group) an intelligence or Knowledge, Local or Knowledge, Nature check (the latter being because elves almost have more in common with fey than with humanoids in this game) to realise what you are.
What do you think?

Agreed - borrowed or not it definitely enhances the game as a whole. Definitely enjoyed it.
Thanks for the compliments, folks!
I probably won't be able to post until Wednesday or Thursday night, at the earliest. I'll also be away from May 29 - June 1. NPC me as necessary!
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Mothman, Laithe's wishlist:
Had a flip through the magic Item compendium last night and picked a couple that look fairly good:
Amulet of Retributive Healing (Price: 2000gp). It can be activiated 3 times per day. When activiated, the next healing spell cast on another, heals the same amount to the wearer. Since Laithe gets fairly heavily invovled in combat, but remains the only healer in the party (and I don't want to spend all my spell slots on healing if I can avoid it), it seemed a good way to make my healing go a little further.
Bag of Boulders (Price 1400gp). Has 3 charges per day. You draw forth a stone from the bag and throw it (range increment 50ft). It grows in size as it goes, causing damage according to the charges used (1 charge, 2d6, 2 charges 3d6, 3 charges 4d6). Figured Laithe doesn't have a great ranged weapon at the moment, so might be handy to give him some ranged ability.

May - September were a bit slow for my games last year, because the flow was interrupted by people holidaying at different times.
I noticed this was slowing down, but then Mothman has been busy before. he is an architect after all. Speaking as a pbp DM, I have found that Legacy of Fire is much easier to run than the homebrew ones were because it is all pretty much done for you. That saves a lot of time and effort.
Plus in the last two weeks Paizo seems to have been down whenever I had a free moment, especially at the weekends.
I've just dropped out of a new-ish game because the pace was dire. Maybe that is partly because I like the swift posting in Heathy's game where there is usually a new fight every couple of weeks or so. That has spoilt me and it has definitely made me more keen to be in games where things are happening. Wrath's game is a good case in point, it started with a bang and has gone from strength to strength.
However Pharris and Mothman's setting are excellent fun. I'd be happier though if Alton was posting as frequently as Kajetan and Nicolai. Its not nice to pick one player out. So I hope Arctaris can take this as encouragement rather than a criticism. I don't mean to offend.
Cheers

Hope it was as much fun as it sounds!
It was... the rafting part was kind of a substitute for the stag/staguette. The wedding was small and simple (just the way I like them), held outdoors amid beautiful mountain scenerey.

Hey Folks,
Just wanted to give y'all a friendly shout-out. Hope all is well.
Twiceborn, the rafting trip sounds excellent. If you ever find yourself on the east coast of the States at the end of June, the organization I volunteer with runs a five day event down the Lehigh River. Real good time!
Linky, if interested.
Take care and be safe.
Cheers

Heheh, no worries all, I'm just doing my best to NOT post as much as I used too! (It got me INTO more trouble than it got me out of!)
The next few weeks should actually be pretty good for me posting wise, as the only activity I have at work is ME repairing the stage!
The rafting trip sounds like a blast! I can't remember the last time I went down a river, oh wait, yes I can. I was in college back in,... (Nuts, am I THAT old?!?) ;P
I wasn't complaining about the slower posting! Just making an observation! I have also noticed that posting staggers a bit on these as various members go on summer breaks. (Don't get me started on Heathy's rate of posting. There's a guy I don't even TRY to keep up with, not even on a good day!) ;)
HAve a Happy Father's Day all! I'm grillin'!

I enjoy reading your posts and certainly can't criticise anyway; I've posted my share of lengthy posts.
I think the slow down is more about a few people being unavailable for a few days at a time as opposed to any lack of interest. I'm extremely keen to see how this current battle progresses...

Ragadolf |

Oh, I agree with your assessment Ash! I'm VERY interested in seeing how our intrepid band of adventurers get themselves out of this one!
But like everyone else, I keep getting tangled up in RL as well,... (Currently traveling back and forth between New Orleans and where we now live for the next month, THAT'L put a crimp in my posting rate!)

Hi all, hope all is well.
Life is good Mothman. My volunteer conservation efforts are really paying off. I just completed a 5 day rafting/canoe trip down the Lehigh River. Viewed some amazaing wildlife, even a Bald Eagle; a species that has not been seen on that particular stretch of the river in decades. Where there are eagels, there are fish, and where there are fish, we have non-polluted waters. Real good time. I hope all is well with all of you. Glad to see that the game is running strong.
Enjoy the gaming and take care.
Cheers

Understood and get well soon, Mothman.
I am at a con next weekend so I'll be little bit distracted with the games I have to prep for the Pathfinder Society.
Cheers
Oh! Paizocon UK right? Sounds like fun, good luck with it. We don't exactly have enough folk about to do a Paizocon here, but I had a catch up over drinks with some of the local Paizonians about two weeks ago, it was good to meet people and put faces (and real names) to message board aliases.

SOrry to hear that Moth.
Get better soon! :)
Thanks mate, as I said in the other thread, I'm mostly better now, but its work thats the killer. My boss is going away for a month from Friday, and the last couple of weeks have been super busy as I have to head out to all these meetings and briefings so I can look after most of his projects while he's away (as well as all of mine of course). Fun. And given that he's away for a month, I think the busy times will continue (and probably get worse). Ah well, hopefully I'll find some time to slack off while he's away.

Ah, I had my turn in that position for much of last year. Feel free to put the game on hold -- I know what that kind of pressure feels like, and you don't need the weight of multiple PbPs on your shoulders at the same time.
