Sorry, been puking my guts up. Yaaaay. Fun.
There's been a bit of a stomach bug going around here too - my coworker has been like that today and I was worried he might have gave it to me too. We'll find out soon! xD

Of note, I'm fully in support of moving the plot along when matters warrant it.
This has actually been given the name of The Rule of Two. When two players of the party say that they are going somewhere or doing something, that thing happens. Obviously this wouldn't be 100%, but it can be a useful tool for minor things or to keep the plot moving. =)

I am in agreement to the desires of the group, and too wish health for our comrades!

Starsoul |

I've always been pro-botting/shuffling things on. Pace is the lifeblood of a PbP and waiting on each player to have a say when some are gone for extended periods seems to be the surest and fastest way to end one of these games.

I have a GM question... I think I know the answer, but I want to double check.
Is a focus component separate from a material component?
For example, my fortune teller feat lets me use tarot cards to cast divination spells and ignore material components up to 1,000gp.
Discern Next of kin is V, S, F (a copper piece)
Do I still need the copper piece, or does my tarot cards replace that too?
Or Scrying requires V, S, M/DF (a pool of water), F (a silver mirror worth 1,000 gp)
DO I still need the mirror?

I just purchased Hero Lab so tracking levels and creating characters should be hella more easy for me now xD #stoked

Wow. I would love to get Hero Labs, but their product model just... I can't afford to buy all the supplements AND buy Paizo's books. So, of course I will buy the actual books.
That's why I to this day love what Steve Jackson Games did with their GURPS Character Assistant. They commissioned a programmer (The same one who made GURPS Character Builder, the 3rd edition version) to make the character creation software (I think he used Visual Basic) and make it really easy to write the data files. Then he taught the GURPS Line Editor how to program the data files (really, it's pretty easy) and so all the data files are not only free, but written by the very person who's job it is to make sure the rules are correct. It's still not enough to actually play the game if you don't know what you are doing, so it's no loss of income to them, plus they sell the software themselves so that is income for them. Win/win.
PLUS if you actually do decide that "Yes, the books and the GCA say that you cannot take Regeneration and Unhealing at the same time" the program doesn't actually prevent that. It just puts a big yellow ! on both traits to let you know there is a conflict then you examine them and it shows in red letters where the conflict is. You can either ignore it, or you can quickly and easily delete the conflict notice to reflect your house rules (like in my case when I did delete the conflicts on these, it was because I made a terminator like robot with living flesh... so it didn't heal, except for the semi-ablative DR (semi-ablative DR protects from damage, but for every 10 points of damage done, the DR is reduced by 1) layer that represented the flesh.) :)

Joseph "Joey" Adams |

Lol That makes me want to push the limits and see how restrictive HeroLab is xD I know they have customizable options for House Rules, but I wanna see if I can do stuff like Human Investigator Joey with a prehensile tail, or Catfolk claws trait, as examples xD HeroLab isn't going to like me very much when I start getting creative.
I do agree though :/ It's EXTREMELY costly. I wish there was a way to show that you already have certain PDFs and then it would just activate each package accordingly. It cost me 50 bucks for buying Ultimate Combat (to get the archetypes I wanted) and the Advanced Race Guide (to get the extra races).
Now I should have every class and race available though, which is all I really cared about, but still >:C Money, money, money.

Joseph "Joey" Adams |

Lol And I do plan on using it, even just for character concepts that don't have campaigns yet xD
And yeah - I'm happy to support them ;P Just not as happy as I would be to support myself xD
At least it's a program that operates smoothly, isn't buggy, and is nice and stylish. It's capable of replacing your paper character sheets at the table with it's functionality :) Very satisfied with my purchase, all things considered. 13/10 wuld rekommmend

Maria Socorro Castillo Santiago |

OH yeah I mean I am not hating on LoneWolf Development for charging, don't get me wrong. I just mean that I can't afford the updates for it and buying Paizo's books.
Also a human with the cat claws racial trait is easy and 100% legal (just not in PFS)... so if Hero Labs can't do it then... That needs to change LOL

Joseph "Joey" Adams |

Lol I know - I got lucky that I had some extra cash left and remembered, "Oh, yeah! I've been wanting Hero Lab! Better buy it now before I spend my cash!" xD
Lol Gonna push this tech to it's limits! xD

Rando: Isagoras enters a typical-appearing office building and proceeds to speak with a fair receptionist awaiting behind her desk. With a smile she asks him how she can help him today.
Isagoras: "Hail, maiden! I am here to beseech my undue and over-charged payment to'warts our most curs'et authoritarian overlords whereas I may be permitted continual ownership over mine owned properties and land!"
Rando: The lady - seemingly understanding exactly what you're requesting - directs you to have a seat and she'll have you speak with the appropriate worker to process your payment, informing you that it may be a half-hour to two-hour wait.
Isagoras: "Two hours?? But I am of an adventuring party charged with saving this world of a leering and growing terror! Surely a women of such beauty and direction such as yourself could make an exception for me?"
Diplomacy: 1 + 0 = 1
Rando: "No. Please have a seat."
Isagoras: "CURSE YOU the far hand of government! Is there no reality dimension to which I can retreat and not feel thy cold hand!??!?"
Nothing is sacred anymore.

I was just thinking of having Maria learn Exotic Weapon Bladed Scarf...
I remember once when a friend of mine and I were at the grocery store, we saw a woman with one... she was shopping in full 'belly dancer' clothes and around her waist was a freakin' bladed scarf... it had hooks hanging from it...
Trying to remember what the actual term for them is (it's not kapenia like Pathfinder calls it...)

Joseph "Joey" Adams |

Lol That would be so cool xD I wonder if they had made it their self or what.
I haven't any idea what they would be called IRL, but I'll try to find them online if I can xD

Maria Socorro Castillo Santiago |

Ah, I found it... sort of. Although, the only references I can find for it refer back to a book that got the author that wrote it into so much trouble for racist stereotypes in the book, the publisher actually for awhile were willing to buy copies back for $10 so they could burn them. Knowing this, I had a friend offer me $100 for my copy. I told him no way and still have it. (The author still to this day defends the book, basically on the idea of 'best intentions') and while it's never been republished physically, you can now get it on DriveThruRPG. It's a platinum seller, probably from people buying it to see if it really is as bad as it's reputation (and owning an actual copy... I'd say that despite having some really fun mechanics that I still love to play, yeah overall it's really that bad.)
So, maybe the term then is not really correct, either way I've actually seen one.
Kapenia works just as well. Hehe.

Maria Socorro Castillo Santiago |

Only the best racist intentions, clearly.
Well, yeah. It just pretty much laid out all the stereotypes of Roma culture, which while many stereotypes do have some basis in truth, you still don't lay them ALL out like that as truth (even if that truth is only in a fictional world) especially when you completely ignore the reasons why those few truths exist or have completely off the wall mystical reasons.

Joseph "Joey" Adams |

Lol What is the name of this book? Because now I am interested because I love drama and controversy xDD I'm envious of you having a hardback copy too, because I love collecting unique and old books

Softcover (there is no hardcover) but yeah...World of Darkness: Gypsies
Oh, as for unique and old books, I also have a copy of Who's Who Among Vampires: Children of the Inquisition. It was a VERY limited print run before White Wolf was popular and when their popularity exploded everybody wanted a copy. Just one problem. They lost the printing templates.

Joseph "Joey" Adams |

Lol I'll definitely have to pick up a copy sometime x3 Sounds like it has some good information for a good gyp character too.
And really? xD That's cool - could you imagine the look on the publishers' faces when they realized they lost the templates? xDDD Bet someone got fired after that; at least you were able to get a copy though!

It's considered by many to be the first "Zombie" movie, from 1932, taking place in the caribbean and involving many stereotypes of haitian voodoo witch doctors and zombies. The word "White" in the title is a literal reference to the fact that a white woman gets controlled as a zombie.

Joseph "Joey" Adams |

Oooooh, I know what you're talking about now! xD I've heard of that film before, but have never seen it. I've always wanted to check it out to see the roots of our modern-day obsession with zombies xD

Wow, never heard of that I always thought that George Romero originated the 'zombie' name (I know it's from zombi, but adding an E, I thought Romero was the first.) Course, that could also be cause he had it trademarked for a long while. Silly US copyright and trademark laws.

But really, though - it doesn't bother me if you'd like to roll our initiatives for us :P

I find it funny how this first arc actually has elements Dave should be familiar with, but he just isn't. His mother was from India, so he's half that, yet all this stuff flies over his head. Goes to show that just because you have a certain heritage dosn't mean you're an expert. Hell, as soon as Starsoul or anyone mentions the god Agni, he's gonna freeze up because that just so happens to be his brother's name.
