I'm being a delinquent at work and checking the thread, and poor Joey! He's going to have a hard time keeping everything scientifically explainable as the plot thickens xD

Maria Socorro Castillo Santiago |

Decided to use this name (it's one I created but didn't have character stats done up yet. Makes a good pseudonym for a fortune-teller witch)
(oh and so you don't have to check, I was Zelda in the recruitment thread)
Still working on the character sheet (about half done, mostly just typing it since I know what I'm doing, then I need to pick spells and equipment) but I can go ahead and read/post in gameplay as long as I don't need to cast spells or do witch things lol

Maria Socorro Castillo Santiago |

Okay I read up kinda on what's going on, but not sure if you want me to just show up (although it would be kinda funny to just show up, since it was just asked if anyone else wants to, I'm not 100% sure why I would know to go there?)
Also, don't see where anyone asked, what about languages? I assume there is no 'common' or is that English due to campaign location? (At first I missed the "New" part of the area)

Maria Socorro Castillo Santiago |

Decided to do a name change before it's too late (though she does still go by Belladonna Nightshade professionally, I figured her real name being what most in the party are going to call her should be her name)
Also, I put a point in linguistics to reflect that she is able to 'fake' accents pretty well if that's alright? When doing fortunes and such, she puts on the stereotypical Romany accent.

I come home from work to find 17 new gameplay posts.
You guys must be stopped xD

Maria Socorro Castillo Santiago |

Like this? Hehe.
Also, now that I've talked with the GM about her car, it's still a Mustang, just more specifically a 1967 Shelby Cobra GT500 (Image is the right colors, just of course not the right license plate and her windows are just barely legal New Mexico Tint Law) hehe)
Okay, equipment is done, though I didn't take much as most of it I think would be under Cost of Living (clothes, house, etc... How exactly is that being handled? I might have missed it in all the posts here). Outside of normal stuff, she'd only really have an extra tarot deck, unless someone else can think of something I'm missing?

rando1000 |

Basically anything that's not adventuring equipment but just stuff you'd have around your house (ie fluff, not equipment with numbers related to it) is Cost of Living. If you don't have much in the way of real equipment right now, just bank what's left after converting it to $ (multiply remaining by 20), and you might find a use for it later.
In case you didn't notice, I gave everyone average cost of living free for one year, so you won't have to re-up that for a while (with the exception of the deal I made with you for the car).

Lol I didn't buy much either. I wouldn't worry to much about it - odds are if we really need something, we'll probably get the chance to buy it.
All I gave Joey was his armour, a masterwork pistol, his sword cane, thieve's tools, a portable alchemy lab, and a gunsmithing kit. :p It was kinda nice not having to worry about all the specific items, like a mirror and chalk and trail rations. I thought about buying a grappling hook, but realized that'd be more Dave's territory since Joey is sickly and weak xD

Should've gotten that! Alas, maybe when downtime occurs he'll get more supplies. I spent a lot myself, mainly on alchemics and lovely poisons. Least from a cursory glance, buying the supplies to make a listed poison we'll be quite a bit cheaper then in core. Yay global markets and industry!

Lol Huzzah! That's what I had in mind when I got the gunsmithing kit. Why buy ammunition and Alchemical cartridges when you can make them at 10% cost of their listed availability price?
Chants: Bud-ge-ting! Bud-ge-ting!

Maria Socorro Castillo Santiago |

Two quick questions.
1. Are you allowing Magic Item Crafting feats?
2. Are you using any rules that would allow casters to research spells that exist but are not on their spell list? For example, if I wanted to research Magic Missile to attack the darkness?

Joseph "Joey" Adams |

If someone were to ask me if it's important that Joseph use the awesome power of money to his advantage I would
;)
Lol A science fiction book that includes philosophical views, mystery, and romance? My God, I'm going to have to look into this. Thanks for sharing! :) It sounds worth the read.
@Maria:
There's no rule saying Joey can't craft ammo for his team! :) He could easily mass produce ammo and Alchemical cartridges for everyone to take advantage of.
inb4 GM: "You can't do that."

Or you can play the video game based on Ayn Rand's philosophy....
Or rather... the theory that a society based on her philosophy would tear itself apart.

Joseph "Joey" Adams |

Lol I really do need to play the Bioshock games sometime. I'm rather behind on those xD

1. Are you allowing Magic Item Crafting feats?
Definitely potions and scrolls. I'm on the fence about the rest, but I haven't specifically banned them. I might well allow their normal use so that I don't have to throw in too many unexplained magic items, so long as they were used to benefit the whole party.
2. Are you using any rules that would allow casters to research spells that exist but are not on their spell list? For example, if I wanted to research Magic Missile to attack the darkness?
I hadn't planned to, but I would consider it with the caveat that I get to approve them on a case by case basis.

In my other campaign, we recently lost a member leaving our already small party with only two people, so my DM asked me to invite some people. You all are a fun group so if anyone is interested, check it out HERE.
The concept is that your character is you summoned from your place in the modern world and placed to save the land of Yaara Ndor. We all started at level 1 and just recently leveled up to 2 (so is safe to assume you'll be starting at level 2); I'd love to see you guys over there :) I believe his limit is 8 or 10 people, and he prefers us to be human but he said he' very lenient and if you want any unusual class archetypes or races you just have to message him about it first and he'll probably let you play what you want. The only thing I know he doesn't allow is firearms (though he'll probably allow them for gunslingers)
Can't wait to see you in-game! My character is Justin "TD" Ray :)

For fun, I just made this...
Maria's 1967 Shelby Cobra GT 500
The alignment is off, sadly. But hopefully not too bad.

Lol Oh that's brilliant. Very sexy car - gonna have to add one of those to my "things-I-want-but-will-never-be-able-to-afford" list xD The BRUJA license plate is what makes it perfect.

Lmfao I try to be funny xD Glad to see it's appreciated. I've actually been talking with my coworker about starting up a YouTube channel dedicated to the random crap we come up with, but he's against it because he's shy xD

Thanks :) The plate is 1991, the site I used to make it doesn't have more modern plates.

Joseph "Joey" Adams |

Lol Dave confused you and Starsoul even though he listed everyone in the right order in the Gameplay tab :P
You can almost feel how eager he is to show off his Dave-jutsu xD
HE'S LIKE A COILED SPRING, READY TO BURST!

Joseph "Joey" Adams |

Lol It's fine - we all do it sometime xD
In the meanwhile, cartomancers are cool. XD I've always wanted to play around with the Deadly Dealer feat, and that archetype incorporates it perfectly for you. I'll have to expirament with it someday xD

Joseph "Joey" Adams |

Pfffffffff - I just love the idea of throwing cards as a weapon xD Ever since the Pierrot class on Golden Sun 2 and the anime movie Read or Die (or maybe it was a series?), I've always been drawn to using cards for magic casting and for lethal physical attacks xD

Maria Socorro Castillo Santiago |

Yeah and it plays well into her being a fortune-teller too.
Also... ouch...

Joseph "Joey" Adams |

It does! I really like how everything about your character all ties around your central theme.
Edit: Man, I wish I could do that xD I really hope he beats the record!

Dave S. Wavaski |

That's p dang incrediawesome. Who'd have thought a playing card could actually be lethal? as well, I'm fairly sure this guy inspires a fair amount of cartomancer players. So cool!
