Ha well I sort of know what is wrong with it. My laptop power cord died and so now I am using my older power cord from my old laptop. It works fine.. for now.. unless I do anything that taxes the video card, then it overheats and shuts off (the old power supply is only rated 6.8 output rather than the 7.7 of the one that died) so FOR NOW I am here posting this on my computer and as long as I avoid playing any graphics intensive games, I'm fine but since I don't know why the proper power cord died in the first place... who knows if my computer is killing this one.

So, it's time to get a desktop that I can upgrade one thing at a time. This buying a $1500 laptop every few years is for the birds.

So, like I said, I am fine to post on my PC right now, I just meant that as a 'if I suddenly disappear, this is probably why' post.

Couldn't agree with you more on the 1500/laptop/year b**$~%%* o:< Desktops are where it's at - I'm still currently saving up for one; this little labby just isn't cutting it for my gaming needs!

Yeah, I hear you. My wife kills a laptop once every three years or so. I have a nice desktop in my office at home and a work laptop I only use once a week or so; laptops just wear out too fast if you use them full time, and even I can only do some of the repairs on them.

I like that desktops are upgradable, even to us n00bs. Two years ago we went wireless, so I was able to install a cheap wireless card in the desktop. Then, recently, I saw a need, so I upgraded the card, and then gave the old card to the upstairs computer. We have a laptop, but it gets blown out of the water now by the desktops.
And if I can't be by the desktop, I have my kindle fire with me, so I'm wondering if the laptop's day isn't maybe past. :/

There are three things I really use my laptop for: remote desktop to my work PC when I'm out of the office, running RPG when the game's at a remote location, and writing when I'm out at lunch or somewhere. I COULD do the last two on my android tablet, but the laptop's a little more friendly for those things. But in a couple years? Some display glasses and wireless keyboard to a phone in my pocket will probably handle all three nicely.

I do a lot of my writing and gaming at work, so a laptop is a must. I also have a monster desktop hooked up to my TV for when I want to abuse my Steam account.

Yeah I turned some of the processing of my GPU to the CPU and am running the game I play at low graphics... that seems to be helping to not overheat the power supply... Still not sure what my replacement options are.

I use a Surface Pro myself, but it's not exactly the ideal gaming device. But hey, super portable, and perfect for me to draw with.

Macbook Pro partitioned to run Windows 10 - it's processors are powerful enough that I can run games smoothly, but its lack of a proper graphics card means low quality. Metal Gear Solid still looks beautiful on Low Quality though and Counterstrike runs smooth as butter, so I can't complain :P It's my go-to until I get a desktop xD

I...I didn't know it was possible to be into RPG and not know Star Wars.

I hated Jar-Jar, though I think if that fan theory was true it would have redeemed him. I did not however think the movies were as bad as their rep.

Never exactly hated jar jar, but I was also in the age catagory he was supposedly designed to appeal too. The preqs certainly get more bad press then they were worth, though, as I think most of that stemmed from him.

Jar-Jar and the midichlorians, yeah. Those two things were...not awesome.

Can the rules for Action points please be posted in the Campaign tab? I think I know what they do, but I'd like it down in black and white so I don't confuse myself (which is a very, very easy thing to do. =)

Just noticed I forgot to put the "Hedge Witch" abilities on my profile (they're on my PDF copy)... will have to fix that.

Also, when reading over Hedge Witch again, I realized that I don't need to actually learn the Cure spells as a hedge witch since it says you may cast them spontaneously even if you don't know them.

Would you mind if I swapped Cure Light Wounds for another 1st level spell, since being able to memorize it is not necessary?

Lastly, I am taking False Focus as my 3rd level feat, so what would be the modern equivalent of a '100 gp' cross (she's Catholic, after all)

Reminds me of when a friend of mine caught someone breaking into her house (she's a big intimidating woman when she wants to be) grabbed a freakin' katana and escorted the robber down to the convenience store to call 911 because she didn't have a phone at the time. The police thought it was hilarious.
