Harrow Points:The following are the ways you can spend your Harrow Points.
Feldivarxon: 3 (No card)
Neva: 4 (The Trumpet)
Raliscar: 0 (The Tangled Briar)
Rutter: 3 (The Sickness)
Vyshael: 3 (The Mountain Man)
Constitution Rerolls: Spend a Harrow Point to reroll any one Fortitude save, or other Constitution-based d20 roll. You must abide by the new result (although if you have additional Haroow Points remaining, you can use them to attempt additional rerolls).
Fast Hit Point Recovery: Spend a Harrow Point after resting for a minute to catch your breath and recover from your recent ordeals - you heal a number of HP equal to your class level and 1 ability point of damage (but not ability drain) each time you do so. You may spend a Harrow Point in this manner once after each encounter.
Damage Reduction: Spend a Harrow Point to gain DR 3/-. This DR persists for the duration of the encounter in which you spent the Harrow Point.
Putting a marker down: I want to attack the hospice and I've memorized Clairvoyance to help scout (if we're lucky). But I want a chance to have everyone do their rest, or perhaps talk me out of an attack on the hospice. So, don't march us off to the hospice's front door until I have 10 minutes to cast the spell and get some results back from Aard.
How much do you need for your scrolls, Neva? Just the 250gp? I can cover you. =)
As for a plan of action, as the new-guy, Raliscar will follow the groups' lead but he'd totally be alright with a kick-in-the-door shock-and-awe approach.
Sorry I've been quiet. I'm a little unsure how to proceed.
I doubt the Hospice is an option yet. It sounded like we weren't ready for it a while back, and I don't think we've gotten much stronger.
As much as I'd hate to fight the hag again, those boxes down there really could be a useful loot. I feel like we may be a little behind on the wealth by level pace.
That amulet of Urgathoa could also be a clue to the vampire spawn we met (and also got our butts kicked by). Did anyone do a detect magic on it yet?
We did get the ones that were in the basement of the toy store, but I was thinking vampire spawn might have a master or something.
We'll see what clairvoyance gives us, but it would otherwise be hard to investigate the Hospice without declaring war on the Grey Maidens, since they guard the only entrance.
A ship crashed in the Jeggare
You helped Soldado's niece
You found and killed vampire spawn
You investigated the false cure seller
You stopped the wererats from attacking the citizens
You investigated the shipwreck
I think the blanch only works for one hit - that's why I thought it was better for projectiles.
Yup. It's true -- and what's weird is that it's cheaper to blanch 50 projectiles than it is to buy silver ones (and since projectiles break when they're used, it's a pretty good deal). Silversheen, on the other hand, lasts an hour - even if it's a mite pricier.

Do Felgar and Vyshael have silver weapons?
And here we see the the limitation of taking a weapon as your bonded object -- specifically, that it's hard for Vyshael to use something other than his mother's blade. (and while I knowversatile weapon, I can't cast it yet... Unless we gained a level in there and I didn't notice?)
Of course, as someone who can cast gravity bow and hide behind the dwarves, 50 blanched arrows might not be a bad start...
... though I'd still really rather the silversheen... and I have enough funds on hand to buy 1 or 2 of them.
I have magic weapon memorized, as you mentioned. Unfortunately, my schedule means I can't be tactical leader on this for 2-3 days. Does anybody have time to read some profiles and propose a plan? If not, I'll try to do it late Sunday or Monday. Stupid job. :-)
I was thinking vamp spawn was vulnerable to magic or silver, but it looks like just silver.
So, yeah, 250 for silversheen for Vyshael, or he just offers aid anothers. Also, remember that a holy symbol or mirror will cause the vamp to recoil for one round, possibly more if it fails a DC25 will save.
Felgar's options are:
silversheen for 250 or
buy a silver greataxe (the weapon of choice, I assume) for 200, or
forgo any greataxe/2-handed bonuses and buy a silver flail for 98, or
just use weapon blanch for the first hit and hope to overpower the DR5 on the subsequent hits
I'm kinda leaning toward the blanch for Felgar.
Raliscar and Neva probably both need blanch for projectiles. 5gp to coat 10 projectiles.
Possibly more importantly for most of us would be a potion of Prot/Evil so nobody gets dominated again. Those are 50 gp each, if I recall correctly.
As for the plan, Rutter should be able to sneak in the front door or the balcony. Or he can unlock the front door for everyone and then come in the balcony at the same time. Thoughts?
Though it might be wiser to invest in a wand of protection from evil (if we can afford it by pooling resources) -- just in case it all takes more than a minute?
I have 4 silvered bolts, which are as many as I'm likely to use in one battle, given the other things I can do.
Possible plan given Rutter's suggestions:
We run to buy a simple silver weapon for anyone who wants it. (Felgar, the blanche only works for one hit, so it's mainly only good for projectiles.)
When we get back, I can clairvoyance behind the front door to see if the entry area is safe. If so, we go in there. If not, we try the balcony.
Once we decide on the point of ingress, we'll buff, including protection from evil, shield of faith, and magic weapon.
Felgar can take the protection from evil, and I'll rely on my Will save.
As we enter, I'll use detect undead as we scout, and if we get a ping, we can also use hide from undead from a scroll.
Seem sufficient for the time being, given that we don't actually know if there are vampires in here?
Any shopping you guys intend on doing will take 1d4 hours (like gather info), especially with the plague as it is. Not to mention, any magic items have the 75% availability rule, and still take the 1d4 if not available, to find out they are unavailable.
That said, it is only about 1:30 to 2:00 (in game) right now, so even if you did go, you could still be back before dark.
So, if you do intend to go shopping, make me a list of what all you intend to buy and I will roll time and availability.
Sorry for my silence. Took a week off work, mostly just been catching up on my school work for the semester. I'm trying to update each of my games today.
If these are normal human zombies, my channel of 11pts was 1 point short of killing some of them before they acted. So close. But, a reasonable roll. They were just so....clustery!
:-)
Things may be going fairly slow for me until the end of the semester, I bit off more than expected, so please bear with me. Sunday at work is currently the only solid free time I have to post. I should have a post up today.
Brave friends, I'll be away on my first camping trip of the year this weekend (leaving Friday morning), and since there's no cell reception or internet way up on the mountain, I'll be unable to post until I get back.
If the zombies haven't resolved their turn by the time I leave, I'm planning to have Raliscar toss his 6d6 bead from his necklace of fireballs up onto the balcony, hopefully forcing a concentration check from the voice and spoiling whatever spell she/it has started.
Perhaps I'll return from my trip to find us victorious and standing over the charred remains of our enemies!
I apologize for my continued minimal presence, but the S**t storm of school work has been insane and I'm just working to keep up. Classes end soon, so please bear with me, and I will have the whole summer for posting.
Just a heads up for you fine folks, while I sadly won't be at PaizoCon this weekend, I will be traveling Sunday through Tuesday, so it's likely I'll be unable to post for that span.
