Oo you could be her cheerleader!

Or a tag team!

Or both!

In other news foregoing the cable and syncing over wifi has apparently solved the iTunes f%#&ery so I should be able to get all 350+ of my books back.

Scarab Sages

Huzzah!

Yeah, it's gone from 30+ minutes, if it doesn't timeout and fail completely, for one book to... About 10-15 seconds for 1 book.

Scarab Sages

Wow. Nice.

*nods*

I feel right again.

Noooooooo!

Bad weather! One of satellite internet's many, many weaknesses!

Ok, I'm at a rather important design decision that I really should have made earlier...
Skald first or bloodrager first?

Skald let's me enrage the party from level 1. I also get spells right off.

Bloodrager gets me +8/+8 rage right out of the gate and the ability to straight up kill most people in a single swing.

As a gladiator, I should probably go bloodrager.

Thanks guys. Good talk.

I think you should.... oh good talk? yes indeed it was *nods*

:P

Crap. Hit a snag. I don't think any familiars have rage. Because I'm not inspiring rage, the familiar has to have it natively. Crap. Anyone know of a familiar with Built-in rage?
If there isn't one then I'm going Skald after all and the +8 goodness will have to wait until lvl 2...

Male Human (chelaxian) cleric 3/sorc 4 HP:42/43 AC 17 T - 13 FF 15 F-+5 R +4 W +9

Badgers get bloodrage, once they take damage they have a little rage effect is that close enough?

AC 18[17], T 12[11], FF 16[15]; hp 40/40[54]; F +10[12], R +5, W +7[10]; CMD 16[17]; Init +6; Perception +12(14) Raging Song 21/21

Badgers are Animal Companions, not familiars. They're not on the list. :(

Maybe if you apply a template on the badger to change it from Small to Tiny?

Male Human (chelaxian) cleric 3/sorc 4 HP:42/43 AC 17 T - 13 FF 15 F-+5 R +4 W +9

d'oh thats right I just thought of the first animal ive seen be used that might have rage. didnt actually fully ingest the question.

Um, if you're getting that extra +4 from Amplified Rage you know that you have to be an Orc/Half-Orc, right?

AC 18[17], T 12[11], FF 16[15]; hp 40/40[54]; F +10[12], R +5, W +7[10]; CMD 16[17]; Init +6; Perception +12(14) Raging Song 21/21

Dagnabit pfsrd... I should use Nethis more often. Oh well. Half orc it is!

Now I have to change a bunch of stuff. :(
But I can get darkvision! :)

Half-Orcs can be fun :3

Neverhome was originally human but in order to take Hateful Rager he had to be a Half-Orc (probably not a good decision looking as to how things turned out) and YBD wouldn't budge.

I have a half orc inquisitor and he's a blast. I have no qualms about switching. I just have to go through my sheet again.

I'm tempted to take the sub-optimal route and just go with bloodrager at lvl 1. It makes so much more sence for a gladiator.

Now, to decide on my familiar...

(House Derexhi is a family run business, it offers guard and protection duties to those in Magnimar, both for short times, and for extended periods. They also are hired as private investigators and to perform rescues. They have been doing this since Magnimar was formed.[1] These guard duties pay the bills, but what really makes the family money is from the reputation of its top squad. This top squad comprises the most capable members and they are brought in to do the hardest and most delicate missions.[2] Being a founding family of the city, they have a seat on the ruling council of the city: the Council of Ushers.)

He rose from the small room above the tavern he had taken to favoring in the Keystone district clutching his head for a moment. Why was he here again? He saw his frumpled servant still snoring in a little palet on the floor and he shook his head slightly to rid himself of the cobwebs. He had offered the older man part of the bed of course but wasnt that shocked the prim servant refused.

He was here in the Keystone district because he was in disgrace. A series of missions that went awry because (to be honest) He wasnt paying the attention that he should have been. His love of plays had lead him into the arms of Annah Scarnetti, which the distraction itself was bad enough... the fact her husband was liable to be very upset made it much much worse. He was just young enough to think that somehow it would all work itself out. . .

Then came the request for a duel, the discovery of the man he was leaning heavily on to help run his team, Saian Logos, was extorting clients and that Annah wasnt as in love with him as she claimed . . . (it turns out Trendon wasnt the only iron in her fire) became too much of a scandal that he was quite literally thrown out the halls of his home by his father... what was it three years ago?

Last night though, had been a cause for celebration. He had recieved the letter of acceptance to join the ranks of the pathfinders. A small step perhaps into something worth doing.

The last time i played a half orc was pretty much a blast too, though it was back in 3.5 living greyhawk, Me and three friends made 4 half -orcs... three fighters and a cleric. It was awesome, I took the combat expertise disarm route with a heavy flail, one of the fighters went combat expertise trip with a heavy flail. Our girl half orc went barbarian power attack, and well the cleric was there for lawls. spent the points into intelligence cause it was halarious to by an eloquent well spoken orc... who at incredulous looks would roll his eyes and go.

"we be orc, we smash bads...Is that better?"

Most the fights went "I disarm then, he tripped them she smashed the everliving hells out of hte prone disarmed opponent.... next target go!"

Male Human Techno-geek-dad/40ish

zomg. Real life swallows me for a bit and you guys are writing essays and figuring out world peace over here while I'm gone or some s@@*! Two freaking pages, wow.

Can someone recap what we have here, I haven't a clue where to go with a character yet.

AC 18[17], T 12[11], FF 16[15]; hp 40/40[54]; F +10[12], R +5, W +7[10]; CMD 16[17]; Init +6; Perception +12(14) Raging Song 21/21

Shield champion brawler (gladiator), Bloodrager going into Skald who will rage the ever living crap out of everyone (also a gladiator), bard (washed up noble)

Scarab Sages

the nine - Trendon Razner - bard/sorceror - mostly party aide I will have plenty of Hp healing once i hit my 2nd level of bard (songhealer)
Choon - Ulfr Uggason - Blood rager skald - looks to be smash so incredibly hard it hurts their grandchildren.
Mark thomas 66 - Ryn Mero - Shield wielding brawling
Jgray - - gun slinging paladin lass
Drogeny - Sarina Versade - half elven bastard lass vigilante warlock.

I think that is it so far yes?

Scarab Sages

I can get incredibly winded on my backstories... It would be much worse if I was creating something that started at higher than level 1.

Male Human Techno-geek-dad/40ish

Thanks. Alrighty then, perhaps I'll play with Sorcerer a bit. I don't ever go that route.

Male Human Techno-geek-dad/40ish

Or on second thought, maybe I'll get something divine so we don't die. Our GM is going to be incredibly gracious and forgiving, right?

So many classes, so little time.

Scarab Sages

I am going bard (songhealer) and Sorceror (celestial bloodline)

I will have some healing but not as good as a straight out cleric for sure. Just like I will have arcane magic to help, slash bardly buffs etc...

Basically I am playing the super useful sidekick to everything :) except damage.... that I wont be doing a lot of

AC 18[17], T 12[11], FF 16[15]; hp 40/40[54]; F +10[12], R +5, W +7[10]; CMD 16[17]; Init +6; Perception +12(14) Raging Song 21/21

That's ok. With a bard and my enhanced raging song damage will be taken care of.

Male Human Techno-geek-dad/40ish

Ok. If we have healing and melee taken care of, perhaps I'll drop to ranged instead. If you guys feel the need for more healing I don't mind changing over for some additional divine though. Cleric or Warpriest would be ok.

There was a book centered around one of the Derexhi, an urban shaman. I won't spoil the ending.

Busy at work, will chime in later.

Right you are. I was in a hurry. When I add equipment it will all be laid out right.

Cobblestone Druid :3

It's a good book.

Scarab Sages

I had picked the last name out of the list in the players guide cause I liked the sound of it, then when i was researching wiki wise the family to concoct the backstory i saw it mentioned there was a book with them, I will probably check it out :)

Again, it's a good book ^w^

I've read pretty much of all them aside from the latest so if anyone is interested in any of them feel free to ask.

And that's also how I got Neverhome's name, it was mentioned in one of the setting books. Can't remember if it was Irrisen or Worldwound though...

Oh! Also, don't know if anyone is interested but I will be allowing Variant Multiclassing.

... There's a magic girl variant in UI?.. Suddenly a feel like maybe I have another take on my concept...

Ryn MeroFemale Human Brawler (Shield Champion) 8 |HP: 77/77 | AC:22, T 14, FF 19 | Fort: +8 Ref:+8 Will:+3 |CMB +12, CMD 29 | Init+3 | Perc +10 | Martial Flex 7/day Used: 1

Magical girl with big gun?

Yep, Magical Child is pretty interesting. They get Summoner spells and a badass familiar.

Zealot is also nice if you still want to play a divine-ish character.

If you go magical girl I might just have to do the same, make them sisters or something maybe.

Vigilante is an awesome class, and there's archetypes for plenty of different playstyles too.

Sarina Versade wrote:

That'd be neat! Give me a day to work the numbers and see what I can do with it.

Well this got interestinger.

On that note

AC 18[17], T 12[11], FF 16[15]; hp 40/40[54]; F +10[12], R +5, W +7[10]; CMD 16[17]; Init +6; Perception +12(14) Raging Song 21/21

I think I just became the only front-liner. Not that I'm complaining. :)

*looks at Mero's character sheet*

*arches brow*

female half-elf oracle 2 | HP 10/10 | AC 14, T 13, F 10 | F +2, R +3, W +2 | CMB +0, CMD 13 | Init +1 | Per +5 (-4 opposed; auto fail hearing) | Combat Healer 1/1 | spells per day: 1st 3/4

Not nescessarily, I'm built as a psuedo front liner, and almost any of the vigilantes are able to fill the role much like a magus/rogue would.
