Oh man really. :(
All I do is post nonsense, if you need me to back off so that I'm not hogging all the spot-light/ideas just say.
I'm sure the missions/objectives will pick up. This seems to be a learn about the town, team bonding exercise. (Or something more sinister da-da-dum)
But I've really enjoyed Gawains' character.

GM CanyonR |

Gawain: Please don't quit the game. I know I have started things off slowly and I'm sorry that I haven't given you enough to feel engaged with. There is more coming, and I know you will really enjoy some of the later things I have planned. I feel that you have a lot you can contribute, both now and later. Please just give it, and me, a chance.
Everyone: Now that I'm over the week long sickness I'm going to try to increase the pace some more. Please post as often as you can, and try to engage (even if just socially) with what's going on. I'm sure this will be a great game and I'm trying to get everyone there. I also really believe that in games, like in storytelling, the events seem bigger and more important when you are more engaged in the world and the characters. I know you haven't had an opportunity to do much yet. But more is, as I said, coming.

Tristen Almeran |

Gm it is definitely not you and I have talked to him and will continue to talk to him hes just worried hes not contributing at all not any fault of yours and its not the pace either hes just little out of the loop
Finals are crunching down here and workload increasing we just dont want to slow down the game

Gawain Macellan |

No fault of yours at all GM :) but College Algrebra has been cracking down harder and harder each class period and with the final exam looming it has me pretty frazzled. I only worried I was either slowing down the thread by never posting or that my character was the wrong type for this campaign. I am glad that you still want me here :) I will keep up as much as i can and post as frequently as possible on here.

Raventhorn |

DONT remind me lol
oh its fine NOT
the other 2 players havent shown up for two sessions and our gm's pc has used ooc knowledge to position himself just right to cut off the retreat of the enemey JUST before they decided to retreat after I gave everyone the ability to spider climb so we could climb the stupid building
then next session he decides a random roc is going to pick up my animal companion who Ive had the wholse campaign and fly off with it and when I transform into raven and ask for help fighting it the gm says "oh my character doesnt want to annoy the roc since he died from one before and wont shoot it now" then he b#*++es at me for playing my character and keep flying after the roc to save my wolf saying that sometime youd have to decide ooc that the fight isnt worth it since it slows down the party and in my head Im thinking oh really so its ok for the assasin to go off and and kill some begger for no good reason ad take up the partys time for an hour as she has to make a multitude of checks and sit just because it's her character
SO yeah thats how its going lol

Matt Cøtteryl |

Wow, that's terrible.
You should suggest a rotation of GM (ie. you do it), because that is rubbish. Or find another group (although that can be difficult).
In one of my games the Gm is a bit 'story-orientated', she did the 'bad-guy' gets away thing a couple of times. {Once it was a familiar, who rather than fiat it away she tried to adhere to the rules when the jedi, said he was going to shoot it. Thus making a huge debacle, when he critted and it survived. Of course the jedi player had killed all her familiars when she plays under him}

GM CanyonR |

OK folks, now that we're at the half way point for chapter 2 I'm looking for feedback from you. I want to get your input on what I can be doing differently or keep the same as I write the set pieces for chapter 3. (FYI, chapter 3 will start on day 4.) I know I haven't kept everyone as engaged as I should and that's already something I'm working on. If you have suggestions how, please share those as well.
If you would rather give me feedback more privately please feel free to email me at canyonr (at the) gmail (with a dot) com.
So this is your chance to let me have it, cause I'm asking for it, or something like that.

Mangur Harmpreet |

No need to give you private feedback, I think you are doing a great job!! Sure its has been a bit slow for some, but I think we also have to engage our characters into the story, and not just wait to react to specific things happening to them. I really liked the waitress learning elven...a very nice touch!

GM CanyonR |

Ok, Ok don't everyone jump me at once. I'm just a ... oh wait. Only one reply for feedback? Come on, I know you all can do better than that.
Thanks Mangur for your kind words, I'm glad you are enjoying yourself. I hope everyone else is too.
Yet, I really do want the hear whatever you guys are willing to share. So come on, and get your share on.

Matt Cøtteryl |

You're doing a great job, setting the scene and tone for the campaign. Yes at some point the pace will naturally increase; meaning the frequency of the political and social conflicts with other parties.
If you could put the city description, in the campaign info, that would be cool. I think I have it all down, but sometimes my old brain forgets. :P
The narrative and writing is great and use of spoilers is also very well judged. The rhythmn of the posts are working well (ie. when we post move on, both as individuals and as a group). I am looking forward to the game continuing.

CanyonR |

OK, now I have a favor to ask. Can everyone keep their eyes, and ears, open for another game for me. I'm looking to play, as a Player, more than I am right now. I've looked through the current recruitment threads and don't see anything I like, or that isn't already over full. I know that Hu5tru is starting a JR game but she has like 75 people already posted there. Plus I'm not excited about playing APs on PbP, partially because I hope to play them IRL someday. So if you hear about or see a posting for a game I may have missed, that isn't an AP, please give me a heads up. And Hu5tru, if you run anything else that isn't AP based, I'm so there.
Thanks

Matt, I appreciate the offer but I'm not familiar with the system or the setting. I guess there was a TV show? I have it in my netflix queue now.
I'm open to things other than pathfinder, but it's the only current game that I actually have the books for. And I do admit that I love the Golarion setting. All the games (2) I've entered have been PF set in the Inner Sea. I dropped out of one because of GM problems and the other seems to be stalled... Unfortunately almost all of the Golarion set games on the boards are APs. <Shrug> I'm sure I'll find something, maybe I should learn to be less picky. But do keep me in mind if you see something pop up.

Tristen Almeran |

Should I even ask for a catchup or something cause im currently lost in all the posts all I know is last I knew me and bro were running as bodyguards or I was waiting outside but apparently Mangur took over my station and cut me out or something som Im lost in where my character even fits in

GM CanyonR |

Thanks.

Matt Cøtteryl |

Just putting it here 'cause it isn't really a post but, Matt will enter the Tavern a couple of minutes after Alika (as he going to stable the horse - the spell last 2 hours & I may need a quick escape route).
Just so as you know, especially since I am of to sleep now.
Funnily enough in my RL d&d game the GM makes all sorts of weird things talk to us. My PC usually ends up talking to trees, walls, cats and random items

Tristen Almeran |

hmm ? oh no I understood why me being out of touch on pretty much everything and yes I would really appreciate a catch up been talking to my brother and I feel he has to back out of quite a few games he rarely posts anymore anyways and im kinda just worried hes slowly all of the games down I dunno we will see but I do intend on sticking it out as I do want to develop a character again

GM CanyonR |

The story so far....
It is the end of the second day of your employment. Yes, it’s only been two days. So far today has consisted of shopping for items at both Ram’s Bazaar and a Music store. Then everyone split up for the afternoon, some to rest and some to scout out the tavern you were scheduled to have a meeting in at 8pm. The group arrived for the meeting, minus Mangur who had been staking out the tavern all afternoon. Unfortunately the bartender who was supposed to coordinate the exchange was out sick and the party attempted to uncover the location of their contact. Suddenly each member of the party heard a strange, reptilian voice in their head informing them where to meet the courier. Matt completed the exchange and everyone departed the tavern. Alika left first for the Standing Ogre, before the deal was made. After the exchange Matt rode away on a horse and Mangur walked to Old Town. At this point I’m assuming that Tristen and Gawain were at the tavern watching the scene and acting as backup if needed.
Tristen: You can pickup at either the tavern or back at the Standing Ogre. You would have arrived back there about 20 minutes after Matt and Alika. For now I’m just going to have Gawain follow your lead.

Gawain Macellan |

Well with the School year almost over, I am going to reenter this campaign to the best of my ability, sorry for the huge lapse in my postings I'll jump in right after Tristan posts what I'm following the lead of. :) glad I'm still welcome in here, looking forwards to what happens next.
