Thanks, I'm having fun too. I knew this part would be complex which is why I wanted to move everyone through it at the same time. I'm glad it's working out so far.

LOL, you need to be as incompetant as me. I have just been dithering around :)

Mangur: Now it's between 9:30 and 10 pm. It's early spring so sundown was 6:30 or so.

Matt has been inside 20 minutes or so and Tristen has been hiding in the shadows for about 5 minutes

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

I will move silently and in shadow over to where Tristen is waiting. I will try to keep hidden and listen in on anything he might say.

Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

and then I got a 25 perception wouldn't I see that this guy who I think is in the bushes is now coming towards me?

Sorry I had huge post typed up was all elaborate and fun had the bird go up and use distract ability on the shadowy figure in the bushes and then stealthed up to him and yeah was fun post had all the rolls AND THEN THE PAIZO MONSTER CAME! and it got eated lol oh well this changes things cause I would assume i do see someone don't know if I recognize him or not so will wait on ruling and discussion before posting or attempting to again lol

Tristen, you have to remember that stealth only works if someone doesn't know where you are when you hide. Otherwise they still know where you are. And once you see someone who is Stealthed, you have to 'Bluff' and hide again to not be seen, assuming the situation allows it.

Please don't read everyone's 'spoiler' posts. It will make the game less fun if people think they can't tell me things that the other players don't know.

But once you gain concealment, which an alleyway in deep shadow would possibly grant, you can attempt to make a stealth roll even if someone did see you the concealment allows the new stealth roll. this is all subjective anyways since we never know where we really are with text based role play

also in the situation you described by seeing someone go into stealth then you have to make the bluff check to hide again, since I just walked into the alley then I used stealth once I was there i would assume its a different situation? Sorry thought i should clarify what the action sequence was.

Sorry I read them as part of a story like turning pages and it goes to a new character I try not to play off these reads but sometimes it slips up :( Didn't mean to start this up was just observing will quit henceforth

Tristen, there isn't really an 'alleyway' as much as some darkness and bushes around the front of the houses. If someone watches you walk to a spot and then 'blend into the shadows' then they know you are there. Stealth is as much about distraction as it is concealment. You might not have known someone was watching you at the time. So you didn't know you needed to distract them in the first place. So then they still 'see' you cause they know what to look for.

Given that everyone but Matt is still in the first section of the intro, I'm getting worried that we won't get through the second part before your trip. I'm sorry, I really wanted to get this done before you had to leave. If we don't I'll try to get everybody to about the same point and stop so you can pick back up after you get settled in.

I understand, It's not just you and Gawain, the other two aren't to the second part yet either. I was expecting that the second part was going to be the complex part and take longer than the first. Now it's Wednesday and I'm not sure we will get done by this weekend. I'm not trying to rush anyone, I want you too play this they way you want. I'm just worried about working around your schedule.

Do you have any idea when Gawain will be able to post? We are kind of stuck waiting on him to respond to Alika. Sorry to ask, I don't want to make you your brother's keeper, as they say.

ok..just to be sure..I have NOT been readingany of the notes that did not have my name on them. Should I be reading them?? I was under the understanding that they were private messages between the two people talking. If I was to read them, then I am way behind..lol

Anyway, thanks for the direction! How goes the travel plans?

Got my box and my bags mostly packed, just... waitin' around to get on that plane home.

... Until I get to LAX and face the dreaded TSA. *growls* And somehow, every time I go out of country, there has to be some movie scene being filmed at the terminal, it's like they plan that stuff around my schedule.

But, I hate nothing more than the TSA, and I've been through Customs in Huston! 45 minutes in line to get my stuff x-rayed? Why, thank you for making this process run so smoothly.

Alika, I would say move along on your own. He has stormed off down the pier from where you had last seen the ship.

Done so. Moving to the pulpit, at least, will walk the remainder of the way.

By the way, you all don't have to put "GM CanyonR" on your spoiler tags. you can just put "GM" and I'll know who they are for. If you put them to just another player, I'm going to read them also. Just thought that may save everyone some typing. ;)

Hey GM I am really sorry but I'm seriously confused on what to do from here. Apparently everyone else is at the manor while I'm walking into the harbormaster's office trying to find who took my horse and I feel like I'm slowing down the game. I assumed that Alika was coming along with me to help me find my horse and our things since as to the extent of my knowledge it was her idea to start this, and I actually meant to put in spoiler=gm and Alika but it was too late by the time I was able to check posts again to change it. I merely reacted the way my character would have, his animal companion being missing. So really GM, I'm realyl just waiting for some kind of clue or something to get me past this, mainly a response from the harbormaster to who might have taken my horse, where it was headed etc. Again, really sorry to have dragged this out and slowed down the group, I just really want to find out what happened to my mount and then to join back up with the others. thanks :)

Did you see My response here? I think it completely reasonable for you to assume that the crew would only have released your horse to whomever had arranged your passage in the first place. So that is your most likely avenue to find out what happened.

You were told that the token would be given to someone in the group and they would be responsible for it. You don't have to worry about it for now.

No problem with that GM, Thursdays are sort of my "less-work" days at school with a break between 12-5 so I'll be posting regularily :)

Alika: that's because they got to the bar an hour before you did. I'm trying to give them time to interact before you get to them.

No problem. The only that are likely to get a response at this point in time is Magnur and Gawain.

Getting accused of killing a bad campaign because I refused to follow a retarded oracle into obvious danger pissed me off. It's ManOwaR this morning!

which stupid campaign was this?

Curse of the Crimson Throne.

Setup: Streets were absolutely empty, and we were two blocks from the garrison. Oracle walked right out and expected a group of five people to be totally fine walking in a group on empty streets when the entire city was on edge because of riots the night before.

I wrote a full page defense of my actions, which everyone ignored and said I was being too difficult to continue with the AP.

Mmmm, Metal for breakfast. It's been a while since I've indulged in that. Back in the day I was more Industrial than Metal. More Tool less Children of Bodom.
