A Larger Enchanted Forest

Game Master Iadel

(Solo test of Mythic GM Emulation)
Current Chaos Factor: 5

The PCs were created using the point-based method with the High Fantasy values. Character creation took just over half an hour (to complete all three characters).

Note: for abilities, a rank of Average is the level of an average professional in that field, not an average person (see page 16 of the Mythic Role Playing PDF).

I interpreted the “Exceptional Yes” result here to mean that the as-yet-unnamed brownie hero-worships Donralaiz for some reason and believes that Donralaiz can repel any threat.

This may not make Donralaiz’s day.

The result here suggests that although Donralaiz is a witch who lives in a wood, he has had enough contact recently with human nobility to know what their latest fashions are...

The chapter on “Randomness” in the Mythic Role Playing PDF notes that the players will need to interpret the broad descriptions for random events in a way that makes sense given the story. The rolls here produced a focus of “NPC action” and an action of “Fight”. This seemed appropriate given that some important NPCs had just appeared, but I had decided during the set-up stage of the campaign that the new fey would (at least initially) behave respectfully to the PCs. So instead of attacking Donralaiz, they would fight each other, using powerful weather magic. (This also suggested the scene for the introduction of the other two PCs.)

The “Exceptional No” result here suggests that Donralaiz completely misses the hostility between the new fey. Perhaps something has distracted him.
