A Larger Enchanted Forest

Game Master Iadel

(Solo test of Mythic GM Emulation)
Current Chaos Factor: 5

I’m trying out the GM Emulator from the Mythic Role Playing PDF (note: this system is not related to Pathfinder’s Mythic rules), to see if this could be useful for our group if we want to play something at short notice. (I’ve been looking into various options for creating adventures with a quick set-up time and little need for planning.)

I’ll be playing all three PCs and the narrator. Some questions will be handed over to the GM Emulator and the dice roller to decide.

What I decided before the start of the game:
~ The setting is a generic fantasy world, loosely inspired by European fairytales and Pathfinder classes, races and monsters.
~ The main location is a forest known as the Wood to its inhabitants and as the Highroad Woods to nearby humans (the forest is at the foothills of a mountain range and there’s a road that goes through it to a pass - there are human kingdoms at either end of this road).
~ The three PCs (a male human witch, a female pixie fighter and a male talking owl) are friends with the nymph Ysvellei, who has been (up till now) most powerful fey in the Wood. There are many other fey creatures in the Wood - they tend to be shy, avoiding interactions with strangers.
~ The Wood has recently changed, for reasons that are currently unknown to Yvsellei and the PCs. While the edges of the Wood are the same, the interior seems much larger. Straight paths have become twisted, and parts of the Wood resemble a dark, ancient forest.
~ The PCs will soon meet new fey in the Wood. They seem to be members of two rival Courts. While they will be ostensibly respectful towards the PCs, their true motives are mysterious and perhaps sinister.

What I don’t know yet:

~ What will happen and how long this tale will last.

I’m planning to add a narrator’s commentary (some notes on how the game is going and how the system is working) to the discussion thread.
