^_^
Don't take it personal, and I'm not telling you how to play your character, but he does look like a Wisdom 5 and Charisma 13 character. Kids would love him.

Scath Lynx |

Kids are less concerned about Charisma, they like warm and fuzzy, even if t has a bad attitude (thus why kids like cats even when the cats don't like kids). :)

Scath Lynx |

Don't mind me, just had a long week or two at work is all.

Alexis Carevin |

Alexis approaches the Lynx and hugs the not so charming feline.
It seems made by order....

Trusk, the Warchild |

Well, Trusk is a retired adventurer, and through experience he's become a seasoned skeptic. Skepticism and caution keep you alive, trusting everything gets you dead. I pretty much laid out what needs to be done for him to consider Scath intelligent IC. You don't really need to walk up, shake his hand, and talk, but just being told something with no apparent proof isn't going to work. Kind of like how Trusk doesn't really trust Valeria either, since she just appeared out of nowhere, in coincidental fashion, had a somewhat fishy story, and she just happens to be of a profession that he considers untrustworthy.

Scath Lynx |

I would have thought that his having scratched words into a table top, which Trusk saw him do, would have counted for something. *shrug*
Maybe the message on the wall that he's a Moron will sink in.

Scath Lynx |

Yep, that's fine. It'll all just depend on how fast they get out on the road. Scath can use a catnap by the time he's done with what he has to do.
And a pound or two of catnip for frayed nerves.

Scath Lynx |

By the way, it seems we lost Valeria?

Trusk, the Warchild |

It's beginning to look that way. Which is a shame, because I need more than just a cat that can't talk back to be stubborn and ornery towards.
As advance warning, I'm going back out into the woods next week in my final attempt to get me some fresh venison for the freezer. I'll be gone from late Friday of this week until next Saturday morning at the very least. I should be able to post from Sunday onward, but it will be limited posting.

Scath Lynx |

Just a note, Valeria posted in another game Monday morning. So she's logged in, but only posted once since last Thursday.
Not sure how you handle it Kana, but what I do in my PBPs is if I don't hear from someone for 2-3 weeks, I move them to the 'inactive' side, and recruit a replacement. I figure if they go most of a month without responding, they aren't interested. I have shortened that to a week when the person was prolifically posting in other threads (like 3-10 times a day).

Scath Lynx |

As long as we're posting, I have to travel for work Thursday and Friday, so I may be slow to post those two days. Especially Friday Night.

Trusk, the Warchild |

Though perhaps you can take some coyotes out too?
While I hunt for the thrill, I also hunt for the meat. Coyotes are useless to me in that regard. They do make for some really beautiful mounts though, and more than a few people near where I hunt would love it if I took out a few. But no useable meat means I'm unlikely to shoot one even if I get the chance. It's why I haven't ever taken a bear, despite being given the chance and the fact that I think a bearskin rug would be neat to have. I just don't like that much-too-greasy bear meat.

Alexis Carevin |

Psychos....
^_^
If that involves us does it mean I have to look at the spoilers now?

Scath Lynx |

Nope, Kana will post Scath's part that the rest of the group find out about, Scath left detailed instructions on what he was doing to the two-legs.

Alexis Carevin |

That's a mother's feeling Wylliam ^_^
Or the first of the 5 stages of grief. Stop peeking our spoilers....

DM Kana |

Alexis, if you have no qualms about it, I'll treat this as a normal round, but have you act after the enemies because you were the only one to fail to notice. So you would still act normally, just be delayed on round 1 before returning to normal.
Otherwise, I'll have your actions be the last of the Group in the recap before the enemy.

Alexis Carevin |

Acting at the end of round 1 alone will slow us down, and will be the same as acting on round 2. I'll act on round 2 then. Not a problem to me.

Alexis Carevin |

Don't worry about it. I'm basically useless against these stupid undead... I'll tell you if I keep my action or change it depending on how their round goes.

DM Kana |

Just experiencing the joy work encroaching on my weekend. This is supposed to be the "quite" time of the year for us. What a joke that's been. A project that we were told about Thursday afternoon that had to be done in time for Sunday got done about midday friday to only find out there was more changes to it that made it more widespread. And I stared at it too long Friday trying to get it to do what it now needed too do. But I believe its done as of now, and you can expect a round summary here shortly.
Sorry if this feels rantish, I'm just a little annoyed with work right now.

DM Kana |

It has been a long day of RL, Work and stress, even though i'm not supposed to work weekends, they threw a project on late in the week due monday and after it was almost done threw a curveball that made it invade the weekend. They wanted it done yesterday when they asked for it. My brain has gone numb and I can not think straight. I'll post when I can think (hopefully in the morning), again, sorry for this.
So expect round 2 summary tomorrow. Normally my weekends aren't this busy, but work is starting to take advantage that I'm salary and not hourly the past few weeks.

Scath Lynx |

We all understand.
Plus that whole scratched up car thing probably didn't help. :)

Scath Lynx |

GM!
We have a problem.
We both forgot that Scath is a Magical Beast, not an animal.
He has Darkvision! 60 ft.
He saw everything while he was stumbling around, is that going to be a problem? If not, maybe just send me a PM with what he saw?
Would everyone remind me Scath has DV in the future?

Scath Lynx |

I thought it was a very good and beastlike thing too. :)
I just wish I hadn't forgotten. :)

Trusk, the Warchild |

Meanwhile, at the hall of doom...
Insert star wipe here...
I'm happy to report that my week long hunting trip has ended early! I now have some tasty venison for the freezer and can return to a somewhat normal posting rate.

Scath Lynx |

Mmm, yum, good eating.

Alexis Carevin |

Is that really so hard?
By the way, should we DMNPC Valeria to keep things moving?

Scath Lynx |

She may be having connectivity problems again. I'd say if it's more than a day we should. Just to keep things moving.
And yes, dressing and butchering a deer is very difficult for one person.
Sounds like it's already dressed (skinned, gutted, ready for butchering), but needs to be butchered. In a cooler I'm sure, not frozen. Imagine trying to cut up a side of beef by yourself. It's basically 150 to 250 lbs of dead weight, even cutting off a haunch to butcher that takes a lot of energy.
