Work has been very busy and hectic. A few days last week I was doing good to function afterwards. Just as I thought it was getting better towards the end of last week, Monday rolled around as an Update Day. Yesterday was horrid. I'm still mentally drained, exhausted and stressed as all get out from it because it carried over through today. Not to mention other stressful things popping up to join the horrors of an Update Day. It may be a few days for me with all this going on.

Lukain and Clara walk with Kazallin to stand with the grave. A couple others have lanterns and seem to be currently inspecting a nearby crypt. Arabeth is able to make it over the wall, hidden by the darkness and her dark clothes. So far, the only ones around are the two of you, Lukian, Clara and the other two Pharasmins.

Good thing I didn't place you with Kazallin. :) Since he had alerted the church that he was going, I didn't think he would be taking a more stealthy approach.

It's short, but it's something. I'm moving things on since everyone seems finished with pre-vigil things at the house.

After Arabeth gets assistance with the changes to her costume for the evening, stars dot the sky and there is faint light from the crescent moon. The group heading to the cemetary heads out, leaving the others with Kendra. Anyone staying, feel free to take care of things you wished to do at or around the house.

==== Graveyard Crew ====
The trip to the Restlands is uneventful. Waiting at the gate are two Acolytes of Pharasma, one of whom Kazallin recognizes as Lukain. "Greetings Kazallin. We meet again. This is Sister Clara, the two of us will be accompanying you in your vigil over Petros tonight. More of my Brothers and Sisters will be searching based on your earlier lead."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you were splitting yourselves based on the following?
House List: Gwen, Odessa, and Zevran
Graveyard List: Arabeth, Kazallin

Between my health and work it has been a little crazy for me. Traveled last week and ended up with some sort of allergy/cold mess that cost my my voice for a few days. I'll try to get something up soon, tonight just involved dealing with some real-life matters. I just... need to get this thing called sleep first.

Generic post for all my games: I don't know when ill be up to posting. I woke up very, very sick. I just now got to where I could post this.

@Arabeht: I'm going to say about 15ft, based on her garuda ancestery. Her height is in range of theirs, thus leading me to say her wingspan is about that as well. And no need for apologies :)

@Kazallin: Yes, Aasimars are just uncommon, so DC 10.

Kendra happily serves dinner. She seems very glad for the company. Anytime Arabeth tries to help, she attempts to shoo her back to the table. She claims that she is a guest, though the attempts do have her smiling.

Afterwards, when Arabeth reveals and extends her wings. Kendra seems to be in awe. She approaches reaching a hand out as if to touch them before pausing pulling it back some as she restrains herself. "T-They are gorgeous."

I am still here, I'm letting you all reconnect as a group. I know you are splitting off for the night, let me know when you all are ready to move on to that.

The walk back to the house is quiet. When you arrive back, the lights are on inside and there's the smell of cooking food in the air. The ladies are back from their shopping. Gwen, Odessa and Arabeth are sitting near the fire drinking on tea.

Kendra, hearing the door, pops her head out of the kitchen once again. "Oh good! You're back just in time. I hope you are hungry." She seems in a more cheerful mood than she was before the shopping trip.

Gibs ignores he hand offered by Zevran, "Yeah, yeah, just get out of here already."

I had checked it over as well :) I had kept meaning to say something that it looks like you didn't need to make any changes. I even had the revised play-test open for comparison.

Also, I heard from Teflin yesterday. Because of some changes in RL, he's not sure he will have the time to play. He did ask me to let you know he wish all of you the best. That said, I'm in no hurry to replace him unless all of you feel we need another person.

...apparently in my rephrasing yes, a piece got left out. I was rushing to finish it before my lunch ended. (Yay hour lunches again!) I got interrupted a few times about then, too.

It should have said the following:

Gibs wrote:
Harrowstone, used to be a prison. When they built the place, 4594 I think. Ravengro was founded that same year for the guards and their families. That place, it's haunted. Those dead up there are restless. Too many folk died in that fire. Most of those that died were criminal scum, but several guards died too. Including the Warden and his wife. Though why she was even there, no one knows. It damaged the building too. No one in their right mind goes up there.

I bolded the missing part for you :)

Appologies this took so long. It took a bit to translate some things in to Gibs-ese

Gibs gives both Zevran and Kazallin a scrutinizing look-over before he speaks again. "Harrowstone, used to be a prison. When they built the place, 4594 I think. Ravengro was founded that same year for the guards and their families. That place, it's haunted. Those dead up there are restless. Too many folk died in that fire. Most of those that died were Though why she was even there, no one knows. It damaged the building too. No one in their right mind goes up there." It's easy to tell he doesn't like talking about it. "The Memorial stands that way," he jerks a thumb in the direction he's speaking about, off towards the river. "It's not far and on the riverbank."

Marked the new location on the map

=== With the girls ===
Kendra smiles as she ducks back into the kitchen. She soon reappears carrying a tray with a tea pot, tea cups and some milk and sugar.

"Simply Harrowstone. Ha. That damned place, who knows what necromantic things he was stirring up there. Vile things. Always sneaking around up there." Gil seems almost amused with that question. It is at Kazalin's question about his kin buried in the Restlands, his demenor turns angry and snappy again. "More than there should be." Your presence as a whole seems to be barely tolerated at the moment. Kazalin hit on a painful and touchy subject with him.

On the Mantle:
On the mantle, sit several pictures. None of the pictures have the couple particularly old, and after focusing on them, its easy to see that the man is a younger version of Gil. Though the most recent picture has just him and his wife, both looking older and having faced hard times. The boy is missing from this picture. The oldest picture of the boy is at age eight.

==== With the Girls ====

Kendra, peeking her head out of the kitchen, "Would anyone like a cup of tea while we wait for the others to return?"

Foxy Boxes:
No one seems to be listening to you. You can hear Odessa and Arabeth discussing something but not what. The sounds of pots and pans in the kitchen lead to belief that Kendra is still in the kitchen. The guys have not returned to the house yet.

"As I said earlier, I don't want that necromancer near my kin! He'll taint them with his magic and make them rise up against us. Always skulking around Harrowstone, up to some vile ritual." Gibs' rough voice begins to fill with anger as he speaks. He obviously feels quiet strongly about the matter. He hasn't turned back to look at you, focusing still on the pot over the fire. The knickknacks on the mantel are very feminine, and unlike any other decorations in the shack. The pictures on the mantle are of a couple, though some, with an older version of the couple have a young boy about eight in them.

Gib's eyes Zevran skeptically, as if trying to decide if he's being deceived before opening the door. "Make this quick." He then proceeds to move back off and check on a pot cooking over the fireplace. The inside is simple yet well kept. There's a bottle on the table, and some cured meat and dried herbs hanging from the ceiling. An old, sheathed sword sits near the bed. It looks like it hasn't been used in years. Theres some old pictures sitting on the mantle along with a few nickknacks.

At the sound of the knock on the door, a chair scrapes against the floor. Footsteps and some grumbling later the door opens a crack, enough to see out but not enough to allow entry. "What do you want?" Gib's voice is gruff and unwelcoming.

I'm glad ^^

I've been doing some thinking lately. I love this game, and I love all of your characters. That said, I have been unable to keep up to my own posting commitment since very early on. Life has threw some hurdles at me since I started this game. I've been thinking through my options here, and I wish, to discuss these with you.

1) We keep on at it, with the understanding that there may be spans of time that real life pulls me away. Because with how my job works any more, I can't always know if I'll have the time post. Dm posts can take longer, depending on how much I need to look up and reference.

2) We just end it here rather than try to keep the game alive.

3) Other? I'll take suggestions if you have other ideas.

Personally, I prefer option 1, though I know it's not the easy option. As I said, I love your characters and the story they are unfolding. I don't want to just run off and leave you without a word. But this is not just my game, but your game too.

So, thoughts?

Fox with a Box:
There is something in the box from the weight and there is the barest sound of a rattle as you move it. The box is locked, requiring a special key to open it.

Leaving Arabeth and Odessa to continue with their conversation.

A Man's Journey for Truth:
The way to Gibs house, though it is more a shack, ends up on the way back to the Lorrimor estate. Marked on the Map for reference It is just past the covered bridge. There is smoke rising from the chimney signifying someone is home.

It's been hard, reaching the point that I've come to accept that I might need to give this game up.

@mdt: Yes, agreed. You all deserved to know. I don't feel it's right to just vanish.

I know it's been a while, life has been very busy. During this time, I've come to some conclusions. My life has been so hectic and busy, I've not had the proper time to commit to running a game here on Paizo's forums. I feel I'm letting all of you down, dragging you along. I don't feel right to keep doing this to you. It's not right, it's not fair.

I'm not sure when it's going to get better because I'm feeling that every time I get my hopes up that I'll have more time, something comes along to eat it all. I've been burnt out on life in general a few times this year already, had a few emotional break downs as well. I've seriously considered leaving my job more than once because of everything that has been happening with it.

This leads me to my thoughts about this game. I had thought about finishing the current area, finding away to draw this part of the story to a close, and then discuss ending this. I can end it here, and we don't know what happens, or I can draw this to a close of this section of the story, so we have an ending. As much as I feel horrible ending this game, I feel worse dragging it along in this barely alive state.

At the Temple of Ti-Wait wrong Temple:
Father Grimburrow is silent, silent for several long moments. "It is... possible. The Church of Pharasma often hides supplies. The record of such a location could be lost or perhaps just as well hidden. I will send a couple Alcolytes to investigate these artifacts. If they do exist, they can move them here for safe keeping."

In case you haven't guessed, I'm having fun with these spoiler tags :)

Scath:
As you try to escape, you hear the sound of something moving, like someone shifted. But when you look at the female sitting in front of the cell, she hasn't moved.

Can't fault you for being busy. And I've had to read back multiple times myself. But, things are currently looking more positive for a regular posting schedule.

There's no place like Home:
Phineas gets about an hour to forty-five minute nap before the Ladies's arrive home. Finding the door locked and the house dark, it's easy to tell that the Guy's are gone and yet to return.

"That... That was fun. Thank you." Kendra offers a small smile as she heads to the kitchen. "I best get these supplies put away and start working on something. I have a house full to feed after all. Make yourselves at home." Leaving Arabeth, Gwen and Odessa to do as they wished, Kendra heads to the kitchen and pantry. Gwen finds Phineas sleeping cutely on the couch, which is now covered nicely in fur.

Your fine Arabeth. You, Odessa and Gwen are just waiting on me finishing up the thing with Phineas at the house.

Guys, I'm waiting on you to continue with your part.

It's good to be a Fox:
This metal box smells strongly of the Professor, and based on it's placement, something he wanted to keep well hidden.

Sorry >.< There's a panther named Scram in another game I'm in... Guess I got all name confused.

Scath:
There appears to be no one in front of her, but her eyes are unfocused. You can tell she's not dead because she is still breathing.

Scath:
The bars are similar to this in style. It would be a very tight squeeze to get out. And yes, she is in claw reach through the bars.

Moving west, there is a zombie kobold currently slamming repeatedly into an alcove. This noise, makes it hard to hear much else going on around you. It is currently oblivious to you, concerned more with it's reason for slamming into the wall. The path beyond leads deeper into the cave, though what lies beyond, you cannot see yet.

EDIT: Changed the spoiler from saying Scram to say Scath.

My body decided that it's time to finally give out and get sick :( I was getting progressively worse over the course of last week till I finally went to the doctor. I'm feeling better after a few days of medicine, though I'm still not back to normal yet. I plan to get a post up by sometime tonight, tomorrow worst case.

Sorry about that, got back from traveling to get sick :( Didn't get sick over all that travel, but when it was all said and done. I'm going to try to get an update by sometime tonight, tomorrow at worst.

I arrived home exhausted Sunday afternoon. Yesterday wasn't much better. But, the future looks brighter, with no travel scheduled for me till the end of july/beginning of august, if that even still happens. :)

I just want to clarify before I assume, you are heading inside the hidden door and then to the 'west' (which is more left/north)? Or are you heading west before you go through the door?

And work decides that dropping bombs is what my life needs. I had some major bombs dropped at work Monday. They still have me reeling. I'm going to try to get a post up tomorrow. I've just had a hard time getting thoughts into words since then.

I'm still here, just giving Wylliam, Trusk and Luther a chance to show back up.

The Girls:
I need to move a couple things forward before I go with you at the house. :) rather not dabble into any timey whimey gobbledygook to handle two different places in time at the same location.

At the House:
Though the room looks lived in, the scents in the room are old and fading. As Phineas searches the room, he notices something most others would miss because of his vantage point. There is something black and rectangular, hidden in the framing under the bed.

At the Temple:
Father Grimburrow looks up from the papers on his desk as the door swings open. With a scrutinizing look, he nods and motions for you to enter. "Yes, yes, I remember you. Ask your questions." He speaks gruffly, and to the point, but his tone is not cruel.

And after much chaos, needing to stock my desk with garlic, holy water and a stake, and murphy's law being in full effect...

There are two paths beyond the hidden door. Both extend into darkness. Which way do you head? Just need to know which direction you choose :)

Scath:
As you hackles raise, and you search you brain for where you have encountered this male scent upon her, thoughts of a cave come to the forefront. Her face lifts, looking away from you, as if hearing something else. She moves as if responding to someone, fading from sight as she responds. The birds stop chirping, the breeze stops blowing. Everything but you seems frozen before darkness swallows you whole. You can feel the cool damp ground beneath you. The area smells of dampness, rot, and the female. When you open your eyes, you realize you are in some sort of cell, entrapped here. Sitting just outside your cell is the female. She doesn't appear to have noticed you are awake, and is looking off into the nothingness. You are now visible on the map :)

Hi guys, I am alive. I had all the best intentions of getting a post up here last week, but then as per usual, work drained me. Had one of those 24-hour notice yay-nay travel notices that turned into a travel at the drop of a hat. Very draining few days.

Starting to think I need to get a stake, since work seems to be very fond of sucking the life out of me. I'm going to make it a personal goal for me to get a post up this week for you. I just need to review things for where we left off and what I had planned next. All of you have been very patient waiting for me, and I thank you so much for that.

Girl's Day Out:
That line was for Odessa, sorry ^^; I should have been clearer on that. She had asked Kendra about a dark place to leave a lantern.

After leaving the Butcher, the girls would been heading back towards the house.

At the House:
It seems, luck was on Phineas on side while everyone was gone. The door was not fully latched and after a little pushing at the door, it opens to a bedroom. The bed is still unmade and items are scattered about as if left absentmindedly and in a hurry.

At the Temple:
I'll take that as cue that you are heading to see Father Grimburrow now? The walk to Father Grimburrow's office takes you through a winding path before you reach a heavy wooden door. The door is open a crack, signifying that Father Grimburrow is in his office.

What is this? An actual update? Why yes it is. :) After a few days home where I didn't have to repack immediately I have found the time to update. Right now I have at least a week at home, possibly more. :) So maybe things can get back on track here.

At the Temple:
"Of course, though he might be busy." Lukian proceeds to give directions to Father Grimburrow's office.

After you leave the records room, you are alone in the hallway though you can hear people not too far away.

At the House:
The house is full of books and papers, the whole house is crammed full of them. There are artifacts from all over the world scattered amongst the papers and the books. There is a door, that smells strongly of the professor still, it's likely his bedroom is beyond this closed door. The door to the room that smells strongly of Kendra is closed as well. There are artifacts from all over the world scattered amongst the papers and the books.

Girl's Day Out:

The Forge Mistress, a middle-aged dwarf, gives Arabeth a scrutinizing look-over from head to toe. She looks to Kendra after a moment, motioning with her head between her and Arabeth. Kendra gives her a small nod and that seems to be enough. "Two days, return it or buy it by then."

----

Walking to the Butcher, to pick up some meat to take back herself, Kendra thought for a moment before responding. "Would the land behind the house work for you? If not, you might could leave it along the river."

I have had trips re-arranged and added. My next two weeks are filled with travel for work. I'm not sure I'll have much time, if the energy to post during them. I got back from the previous ones and was exhausted, to recover to head out on the next. But I wanted to update you on what was going on. If everyone is okay with it, I'm going to place this game on hold till after these back-to-back trips end. I'm hoping that's just two weeks, and I can get back into things, but I cannot promise the time because sometimes my warning on a trip is 24 hours or less.

I travel Thursday through next Monday for work. Work has kept me busy, both because of this travel and other things (like development and installs). I've had little free time, been very overworked and am trying to keep myself from getting sick from all this. Work almost had me traveling today and tomorrow, only to cancel at the end of the work day (last minute notice, aka yesterday, for both going and then not). I'll try to post when I can, as I do not have plans of abandoning this game. I'll just be slow posting as our developmental winter time was not allowed to be developmental time, and now we must develop, travel to our trade shows, do new installs and update existing customers. I wanted to let you know what was going on and keeping me from posting.

The door opens to a passageway. There are no zombies visibly waiting here, the path goes to the left and to the right. Updated the map with what you see.

"That would be Father Grimburrow, sir. He is in charge here. Though I am not sure if he will know or not either." Lukian falls silent for a moment. "You said earlier, it was in Petros's notes that you found mention? Would, you mind if I take a look? Perhaps, I can help you narrow it down?"
