The night passes with no further activity, although you do hear numerous creaks and groans from the decaying building as well as some quite legitimate noises of creatures nosing about outside of the shrine room.
It is pre-dawn; your actions?

Feeling refreshed from a night's rest and the divinity of Desna the party heads back to Falcon's Hollow. Although you can't sight them Jalriel tells you that you were tracked by at least two different individuals. He is confident that had your need for speed been not as keen he could have spotted them fairly easily.
It's a long 18 hour march, with the last few hours in the dark relying on Jalriel's sense of the stars and Variel getting directions from the trees; at least that's what HE says. Now exhausted from not only the march but the last few strenuous days catching up with you, you finally see ahead the broken outline of Falcon Hollow's rough pallisade.
Your action?

Staggering through the empty streets of town you finally find your way back to the remedy shop from where you started your journey just a few short days ago. Was it really just a few days ago, you wonder to yourselves?
Even this late in to the night there is a light on in Laurel's shop.
After several knocks on the door, an exhausted looking Laurel opens up: By the blessed golden wyrm, you actually came back! Do you have the ironblooms?
| Chris Welch DM |
You have come back in time to save many. Sadly, however, we have lost 12 of our townsfolk to the blackscour. More would have died, many more, but with these I can cure them. Let me get to work and you good folk go tell the magistrate you are back and that I'll need runners to take the curatives out to the ill over the next few hours. Hurry now!
With that she turns, forgetfully leaving the door open in her haste, and begins to assemble ingredients next to one of her larger cauldrons.

Feeling that their task is almost complete, the party splits up with Daedeloth and Jalriel heading out to find the Magistrate while Azzakan and Variel look for the Sheriff. Both town officials are delighted to see and hear that the PCs have returned and better yet returned with the ingredients required to cure those still ill from the blackscour.
The Sheriff immediately sets out to round up his Deputies telling you that all of them will help to expedite the curatives to those that are ill and they will meet you at Laurel's shop as soon as they are able.
Now nearing total exhaustion the party returns to Roots and Remedies to find an equally weary Laurel sturggling on completion of the cure. Reluctantly accepting aid in preparation from Azzakan and Variel, Laurel takes a quick break while Azzakan and Jalriel look on.
After another few hours, the remedy is complete and the Sheriff and his Deputies start arriving to be immediately sent back out to deliver the potions. When the last round is sent out, Laurel prepares to offer her thanks to the party only to find that each member, now totally spent, has fallen asleep in various standing postions: slouched over work benches; leaning against the wall; or even diagonal to a set of crates.
Your actions the next day?

No suit of hide armor; you were not humping that around during your mad dash marches. It's a +1 hand axe worth 175% book amount (permanent magic is VERY rare in this world) but there will be a large tax on it when sold (30% of sales price). Ruby does not radiate magic any longer. You can sell all the armor/weapons etc for 60% of book.

Lauren identifies the ring as belonging to a member of woodsmen that went hunting in the deep forest several months ago and never returned.

Guys think we should keep +1 hand axe since magic is rare. Believe Jalriel is only one proficient with it as a martial weapon so I suggest he take it.
I will add up value of rest of items (with no hide armor) and let you know how much we each get later today or tonight.
DM: can we determine value of ruby, shrunken head, dwarven prayer book, and wand?
| Chris Welch DM |
Azzakan will go alchemist 2. No input?
To DM; I rolled 8,,, just kidding
Is there a random roller? Or do you want to roll for me. I think my dice are in the bags o'dice.
I'll show you how to do this on Saturday assuming you are sticking with the campaign. I had my "letter of recall" all ready for you just in case!

And yes, I would reccomend you take a level of Rouge. I think you can get sneak attack on a bomb?

The amulet is a "Soulspeaker"worth 2,400 GP. Once per day it can repeat a message as if the spell magic mouth were cast upon it. The owner must merely hold the 6 inch in diameter head and speak his message and the conditions under which it should be repeated. While it carries a message, the eyes of the stitched head stretch open, closing as soon as its message has been delivered.
The prayer book is worth 50GP to a scholar interested in Dwarven history; you will not be able to sell it for that much in Falcon's Hollow-maybe 15GP.
The ruby is worth 300GP.

I shall take a level in Rouge. Bombs are considered range weapons and do qualify for sneak attack. Do I get full hit points for first level Rouge? Love the new skill set!
No on full HP. Roll; min 1/2 per level. Skill monkey rouge is awesome. Regards, Thesk
