DM: is it 2 separate doors or a double door?
approach the first single door or the double door and use my door sight

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

2 single doors.

This small study looks like it has been lived in recently. Gnawed bones litter the floor and tufts of gray fur can be seen here and there. An old stone desk sits in the center of the chamber, scratched and cracked in many places.

Female Human hmam

To daed: What do you want to do?

Check out the other door using door sight, then we can decide on action.

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

Old cobweb-covered racks and armor stands dominate much of this small chamber. What must have once been a well-tended armory is now devoid of arms and armor.

Female Human hmam

To Daed: let's try the ffirst.

Female Human hmam

I have no patience....
I wish to smash the door...

Female Human hmam

I attempt to open the door

Female Human hmam

Damn that fraking door...

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

As you push open the door the stench of wet fur washes over you and you hear a pair of deep growls from behind the desk as two large wolves pad from behind it and rush towards the party.

Initiative!

A: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
D: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
J: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
V: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
m: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

So wolves and Azzakan at the same time and then everyone else. Tell me what you are doing and I'll post the round. Azzakan is just inside the door, followed by Variel, Daedeloth, and Jalriel.

Female Human hmam

Move forward and swing the Morningstar

Morningstar named FUSION

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

DM screen:
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 71d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 41d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

morningstar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

As the two wolves snap wildly at Azzakan he is able to dodge both fang filled bites; in return for their troubles one of the wolves is smacked by Azzakan's morningstar for 4 points of damage.

Variel raises his hand towards the unwounded beast and mutters something in a strange tounge. The wolf suddenly sits back on its haunches, tounge lolling out, and appears to almost smile at the party. This one has been purged by the Flame. Do not strike it!

Swing my Morningstar at the wounded wolf. (attack includes bless bonus we got)

attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Sweet!

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

With a pain-filled yowl, the wounded beast goes down!

***end of combat***

Female Human hmam

To Daedeloth Thanks for the help.
To Variel... Nice natural empathy, I saw what you did, I can make this happen chemically.
Perception

look around the rest of the room for ironblooms, wary of anything else that might be hiding behind the desk. If nothing hiding, check out the desk to see if it has any drawers.

To DM: I watched what happened and believe I can make an extract that can copy Variriel's ability. I hope friend Variel understands that.

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

The desk is completely empty save for a few scraps of ancient parchment and an old quill. Your thorough search reveals a secret compartment in one of the drawers. Inside is a well crafted handaxe, a small pouch containing 100 PP, and a prayer book written in what you surmise is Dwarven.

There is a single door in the western wall of this room

He actually cast charm animal on the wolf if that makes a difference

Gather the stuff from the desk, approach the door and use doorsight.

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

Gaping holes in the roof allow faint light to enter this ruined chamber. One of the stone columns that once supported the ceiling is toplled, its broken pieces littering the floor.

The room is about 20x25'

Female Human hmam

Can I understand the language of the ancient parchment.

To Variel.. How did youcalm the wolf?

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24
Azzakan wrote:

Do you read Dwarven?

Part of the blessings of Flame which I receive includes the ability to cast natural spells. One of those is the ability to charm animals like our new friend here. Before we move forward to the next room I will speak with him and direct to him to find a new pack out in the forest. His kind are not meant to lives in dusty Dwarven dwellings.

Female Human hmam

To Variel: your natural ability to work with Nature is not something I can replicate. You and nature are one. I watch with awe.

Azzakan wrote:

No friend Azzakan, nature and I are far from one now, but one day I certainly shall be. We all return to the Flame in the end; it is the way of things. Each of us is given talents to use, you with your elixers, Daedeloth with Desna's blessing, Jalriel with his physical gifts. It is how we use them and what we use them for that ultimately makes the difference.

Variel then turns to the wolf and speaks in a strange language Тој е во право за Демони, тие имаат извидници чување сум око на она што ги испраќа во на демонот земји The wolf comes over and sniffs Variel before padding to the door and going outside.

Friends the next room contains gaping holes in the roof allow faint light to enter a ruined chamber. One of the stone columns that once supported the ceiling has fallen, its broken pieces littering the floor.

The room is about 20x25'

Are we ready to go in?

Female Human hmam

Yes I am fluent on Dwarven!

Female Human hmam

Azzakan would like to wait and read the Dwarven script that he is fluent in.

Azzakan:
The book describes the worship of Droskar. A small note on the inside cover reads Torag is no longer worthy of our devotion. Only Droskar can deliver us from the failings of King Garbold.

Female Human hmam

To group: I opened and have read a dwarven prayer book.....
It says Torag is no longer worthy of our devotion. Only Draskar can deliver us from the failings of King Garbold"
To DM I look closer at the book Perception..

I do not know the god Droskar? Anyone info. Religion check.

I think we need to find the King.

I think we need to find some ironblooms and get back to the village asap.

Female Human hmam

Variel..do you agree with Daedeloh? I think we need to continue on.
To: Jalriel What do you think?

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

A look of bewilderment in his face: Friend Azzakan, what Dwarves? The Dwarves that have been gone from this place for so many years that many of the trees outside were but just acorns when they abandonded it? I know not of Dwarves except that they have fled to their holes and mostly locked their doors to friendly folk. No, let us be upon the business that brought us here: Finding the ironblooms and getting back to Falcon's Hollow. For my part the sooner we are gone from here the better.

Female Human hmam

Ok

Who wants to open the door and lead the way in?

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

Variel looks at you somewhat spitefully and nods As the Flame dances I suppose this is my fate to lead the way in these decrepit halls. Better I should lead in the woods than this forest of stone but so be it.

With that he turns and opens the door.

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

As the door opens the party is hit by the scent of wet fur and a trace of an earthy scent.

~your action~

Cautiously move forward into the room, looking around and prepared for a fight.

perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19

Female Human hmam

I follow Variel and Daedeloth lead.

Male Half-orc Paladin/1

I'll take the lead next.

Sorry guys, I've been busy.

Happy you came prepared, you hear a deep guttural growl much deeper than those issued from the wolves you just faced.

A huge wolfen form leaps upon the broken column gazing down on you in contempt, teeth bared, the wolf speaks You have slain some of my pack. Why do you enter my domain?

DM screen:
intimidate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Will save DC 21
Azzakan: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Daedeloth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Jalriel: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Variel: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Given the incredible size and apparent ferocity of the beast upon the broken column you quickly decide that parlaying with it is much safer than the death that awaits should you decide to assult it.

Whu...whu...whu...what is it that you desire of us oh mighty warg of the woods?Variel stammers out

Why have you come here and disturbed my rest two-legs? the enormous warg growls out.

We seek ironbloom mushrooms to heal folks that are sick in the town of Falcon's Hollow

Hmmmmm.....I should slay you where you stand for the insolence you display in entering my lair. Instead, I shall be merciful. If you assist me in slaying some beasts that have encroached on my demenses I will take you to these mushrooms. First go and slay the demon octopi that inhabit the rooms to the south of here; then return and I will give you further instruction.

***your action***

Muh...Muh...mighty warg we do not have time for a set of herculean tasks, the people of the town are sick and dying, time is of the essence. Take us to these ironblooms now and we shall reward you.

Hmmmm.... a low growl rumbles out from the warg's muzzle Perhaps a third arraingement can be made? It's the one where you become my DINNER!

As the warg speaks and springs at the party Daedeloth cries out There is something behind us!

The warg lands on Variel savagely chomping at his sword arm for 5 points of damage, and Variel barely manages to keep to his feet. Daedeloth's keen hearing allows him to spin and block a buzzing arrow with his shield that otherwise would have been lodged in his back.

Initiative:
A: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
D: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

V: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

So Jalriel; Variel; monsters; Azzakan; Daedeloth

Male Half-orc Paladin/1

I shall strike a blow at the woeful warg.

attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Still a bit shaken by his intimidating presence, my blow is easily deflected by a flick of his paw.

Since warg is attacking Variel, I will attack it from the flank.
"Death take you foul warg!"

attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

if I hit
damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

Az give your action and I'll post the round.

Add +1 to my attack if the bless from the other room is still active

Female Human hmam

Azzakan turns and attacks what is coming from behind.
