And here's the roll

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

Before Variel can summon another firey bolt, the huge blade of Jalriel crushes through the remaining beast sending it to the floor, a stain of blood following the corpse. As the heroes stand gasping for breath, the familiar healing warmth of Desna washes over them.

***end of combat****

Male Half-orc Paladin/1

If I never see another of those demon ilk, It'll still be too soon!

I search the room for shrooms of iron and perhaps a bit o' treasure.

Male Half-orc Paladin/1

Man, throw in an avatar and I'm chatting up a storm.

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

As Variel slowly rises and staggers to Azzakan's still form to attend to his fierce wounds, Jalriel ("the verbose") searches the room and finds:

The previously described shrine, clearly Dwarven; DC10 knowledge religion for more. Of particular note is a space atop the altar containing five small depressions. The only other things of note are the shattered remains of what must be dozens of skeletons of various sizes and forms.

Male Half-orc Paladin/1

Calling upon my vast knowledge of religion...

religion: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

...I think it has something to do with cheese...

Thank Desna that is done with! How wounded is everyone? Does anyone need additional healing?

looking at the dwarven shrine

let's try the dice roll again! And someone tell me how I preview again please?

religion: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

It's the button that says "preview" on it...

Variel, weak from his traumatic experience, in a hoarse whisper: Friend Daedeloth, I'll take all you can give me (2/16) but friend Azzakan is in worse shape yet. I was going to call upon the Fire Father for some small hope of healing, but I know Desna has given you greater gifts in this area than me. Maybe you should take some action first?

Daedeloth:
You realize that the anvil is devoted to Torag (Dwarf god of honor and well made steel), but was defaced and left to rot. Some of the defacement appear to be symbols or Droskar (Dwarf god of ceaseless toil and slavery). The small depressions appear to be receptacles for holy gem stones.

Desna lend me your strength to aid my worthy companions!
channel: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 1) = 7

I have all but exhausted my abilities, I can channel Desna's healing energies just once more this day, then I will have to rely upon my spells.

This shrine was an anvil devoted to Torag (Dwarf god of honor and well made steel), but it has been defaced by symbols of Droskar (Dwarf god of ceaseless toil and slavery). There are small depressions on the shrine that appear to be receptacles for holy gem stones.

Azzakan should be up at this point. I haven't tracked his HP for the exact nubmer but he should be conscious and functional.

Variel 9/16.

I will burn a spell for a cure light on Variel, Azz can heal himself now that he is up and about.

cure: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Can anyone try to bind me? I feel like someone tried to strangle me. All of you look bloodied up, I assume I owe thanks for keeping me alive.

heal: 1d20 ⇒ 17

Apologies friend Azzakan, I have done what I can with the bindings. Do you still require healing after Desna's blessings, or maybe your powerful unguents can repair the damge you received? That is quite a skill to be able to create such powerful curatives.

Female Human hmam

To Variel: Thank you for you help. I take one of my potions to help heal.

Don: Bind=Treat Deadly Wounds(TDW): When treating deadly wounds, you can restore hit points to a damaged creature. Treating deadly wounds restores 1 hit point per level of the creature. If you exceed the DC by 5 or more, add your Wisdom modifier (if positive) to this amount. A creature can only benefit from its deadly wounds being treated within 24 hours of being injured and never more than once per day. You must expend two uses from a healer’s kit to perform this task. You take a –2 penalty on your Heal skill check for each use from the healer’s kit that you lack.
DC for deadly wounds=20

TDW: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 8 - 4 = 23

Don: So all said, I was able to bind wounds for 1 point for Azz.

Female Human hmam

To Daed: thank you for the help
To DM. I am HP ?/14

Azz: Since the creatures took you down, I channeled 6 times for a total of 16hp. And I also bound you for 1hp.

So Azzakan is at full because he took 16 in the surprise round. How bout a bind for Variel who is down 1 still?

Next actions?

I will attempt to treat deadly wounds for Variel
[dice=TDW]1d20+8-4{/dice]

I swear that { wasn't what I typed
TDW: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 8 - 4 = 17

To Group: thank you Sweet at full HP. Can we rest here in a former Church of Torag? Rest would be great maybe not possible. I have 5 extracts/potions left. One is alrady prepared a a cure light already. Four options left....

To DM: I assume my Mage Armor (MA) is gone now??

Oops almost forgot....perception check in the room

To Group: all your avatars/characters look mean

Azz: I don't know if we have time to rest unless we want to save the people of the town.

Don: You need a mean avatar too! Instead of a guy in a t-shirt!

Azz: Excuse me, unless we don't want to save the people of the town.

Friend Azzakan, we can rest here but every day we delay will mean more deaths in the town of Falcon's Hollow. I still have all of Nature's blessing for the day, less one firebolt; you have most of the uses of your extracts left. We are all in full health. We should push on and hurry back to the town to save those that we can.

Mage Armor is 1HR/LV so I think you would still have some time on it

You don't perceive anything other than what has already been described.

Female Human hmam

Then lets be heroes.....

Jon...I am dying right now. Your avatar is Radi Hamdi...your favorite from the Legacy of Fire aka KAKISHON!

WTF?!!!! Hamdi?!!! Variel SMASH!

Male Half-orc Paladin/1

Let's push on and save as many Falconites as possible.

Jalriel wrote:

Where to?

Female Human hmam

I wonder what Martok would think about this? I can't stop laughing. Almost all the avatars come from illustrations already created in the pathfinder world.

Go get em Radi Hamdi!!!! I don't know you. You seem awesome to me.

Don: Fool, this is Radi Hamdi.

Female Human hmam

Are you telling me there is an actual difference? The same features different color scarf/turban/headgear. It is the same person slightly altered.

One is labeled Radi and one is not.

And that's when Don became the world's first internet PBP character art racist...Regards, Jessie Jackson

Female Human hmam

Tears are in my eyes right now. It is the same dude.

DM: too funny

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

OK, back to business!

When last we left our heroes: Your choices were left down a hallway, right down a hallway, bash down the blocked door, or back out to the yard.

If memory serves, we can go out the door and if we go straight we go back the way we came to the outside? So that means left or right? How about we go right...

Male Half-orc Paladin/1

An excellent choice Daed.

Next door we come to, I will use my door sight.

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

You travel about another 20' before being confronted with a choice of doors, double doors on the right and a single door on the left. The hallway continues another 10' and then dead ends.

The double doors are shattered and broken, one of them lying on the floor.

Guess we should check out the room with the broken double doors before going to the door on the left.

I will peer into the room with the broken double doors.

perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

The double doors leading into this chamber are shattered and broken, one of them lying on the floor. The room beyond is in an equal state of disrepair. What was once a library is now a shattered mess with one corner being completely collapsed and dominated by a wide pool of stagnant water. Thick fungus grows on most of the books that still remain on the shelves lining the walls.

My companions, do you know anything about this fungus?

I will also cast detect magic and examine the room.

Male Elf Druid/1 AC:20 HP:24/24

DM screen:
Vnature: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

Friend Daedeloth, it is not something that grows in the forest, it looks more like a cave growth or from deep under the ground. I wonder how it came here? Mayhap it was the Dwarves that brought it hence? Be that as it may, best we leave it alone, I think. One fungus to cure at a time so the Tree Fathers say...

Daedeloth wrote:

After a few minutes concentration you sense a faint aura of magic atop one of the bookcases.
