Azzakan bomb: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
bomb damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
reflex VarielDC16: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
reflex DaedelothDC16: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
reflex JalrielDC16: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Azzakan lobs a vial high in to the air, a beautiful arcing throw that lands on top of the beasts head; exploding flames blast over the creature for 10 points of damage and spill off on to the other members of the party. Variel and Jariel take 6 points of damage whilst Daedeloth blocks some of the flames with his shield and only take 3.
The smell of burning flesh fills the air.

Daedeloth isn't moving anywhere. He is unconscious.
I also have Jalriel at 0. You can both make a standard action (attack) but it will inflict 1HP damage; if you are at 0HP do you still attack? Who knows, maybe Jalriel can take it down with his action before he goes under, or Variel will win initiative and kill it, or Azzakan will bomb it (and everyone else) to death...

To DM: What has been character moves...do not agree with your splash
All three are surrounding the beast (that's how they could do melee damage without a reach weapon) and the rules are pretty clear: a hit results in splash damage to each surrounding square. The other PCs are all in surrounding squares, ergo subject to splash damage, which in this case is the minimum you can deal 1+your Int modifier (+5) or 6 points.
Chris Welch DM
The enemy took zero damage????? Only my comrades. Do not agree. I think it is easy to satyagraha only my friends take damage.
I have given the cleric an extract... Oh well
Read the post and my additional comment to the post again: You did 10 points to the beast with a direct hit; the other PCs took 6, 1/2 with a save

Apparanmtly I have un initenionally brought my friends to their demise. I disagree with the splash area you deeded upon, but am using my last extracts to heal. I have burned and shall kill the snake. I crush the snake with my Morningstar.
I'll e-mail you some links which should clear it up...

If Daedeloth can perform a standard action with 0 HP:
"Mighty Desna, aid me now!"Channel energy, exclude the beast.
Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Do you do this in lieu of your attack? It will put both you and Jalriel at 4 HP

Azzakan said hours ago to destroy snake with his Morningstar, trying not to bomb. Cannot believe I only injure my friends when the enemy also occupies spaces.
Chris Welch DM
Azzakan-Your next action is still pending; you already acted in round 1
Jalriel-It's both; the beast struck you in the surprise round and Variel in round 1.
Currently you and Daedeloth are at 0 HP (per my count); Variel has been knocked to the ground; and Azzakan is at full outside of melee range.

Read. The. Posts.

I did read all the posts. I was just recounting my hit points, although we were Both wrong. With that last channel, I should be at 2. So I will quick draw my greatsword and strike the foul minion of forest desecration.
[dice=attack]1d20 + 5
That last channel won't go off until after your action as you beat Daedeloth on initiative. So in theory if you were at -2 for your action and then go to 2 after the pulse then you go and miss.
So....

Azzakan lobs a vial high in to the air, a beautiful arcing throw that lands on top of the beasts head; exploding flames blast over the creature for 10 points of damage and spill off on to the other members of the party. Jariel (who starts to fall) takes 6 points of damage whilst Daedeloth blocks some of the flames with his shield and only takes 3.
The smell of burning flesh fills the air.
Variel, broken out of his reverie by Azzakan's sharp elbow, flushes even more red than usual and wades in to the fray with sword and shield. For the First Flame! His flanking position allows him a well placed strike to the creature's midsection; blue-green ichor flows from the wound.
Daedeloth blocks the beast's bite with his shield and one claw glances harmlessly off his breastplate while the other rips in to his shoulder for 4 points. The creature's tail whips across Variel's knee for 7 points tumbling him to the ground!
Mighty Desna, aid me now! A wave of positive energy flows from Daedeloth washing over the party, stopping Jalriel from falling. Still staggered from the alchemical blast and the prior lash of the beast his blow is not strong enough to penetrate the creature's thick hide.
Initiative Round 2
Azzakan: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Daedeloth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Jalriel: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Variel: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
monster: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
So: Jalriel; Variel; moster; Azzakan; Daedeloth
Chris Welch DM
AOO monster: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Variel longsword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Jalriel, now somewhat more steadied, hammers his blade home cutting out an enormous chunk of flesh from the beast. Rising to his feet, Variel narrowly avoids the lashing tail and strikes into the joint between tail and leg bringing the monster to its end.
***end of combat***

To DM: What time of day is it? Is it a good time to rest for the night? Also want to find and get some of the moss from the tree and search the dead beast.
To companions: Does anyone want me to try to bind their wounds. I can also channel Desna's healing energy once more this day and can use 1 cure light wounds spell.
