funny to see this post.
I just lost our barbarian (today in fact) in my campaign. it is just starting (level 1) homebrew adventure but in the Pathfinder setting.
The party is just now getting to meet each other.
I always want to have at least one seat for a first time PbP player.

I would really recommend trying out PFS, IMO it works much better in PBP, mostly because scenarios come in bite sized chunks. A typical campaign takes years to complete in PBP, but since PFS uses short scenarios, that play out in about a month in one post per day games, and you get to continue advancing your character with different GMs. There is a lot more chance of finishing a PFS game and its easier to dip in and out as you need to. I would highly recommend The Confirmation as a starting point if you decide to check it out, it should crop up pretty regularly on the recruitment forum here.
