I know maybe no one is looking at this thread anymore, but I have been delving into the Age of Worms AP, and would like to hear more on why you think The Mad God’s Key is a good intro for it :D

Just ran this recently for my group. They enjoyed it

Thank you Walter Sheppard! I am so using your song in my session Thursday. One thing, Soundcloud is telling me it can't play the track. I will sing it if I must but I would much rather use the track.

I have to agree with this sentiment. We will be playing this tomorrow and I am so using this little prop. Thanks Walter!

I usually keep out the Arcanist, and a lot of the new occult classes like the medium, the occultist, and the mesmerist. Partly because I am not as set on their mechanics as I want to be.

But also I feel as though they have more complicated mechanics than most of the other pregens.

If I have someone that is completely new I believe I usually offer them the core classes, the ninja, the brawler, the bloodrager, gunslinger, warpriest, shaman, swashbuckler, and investigator.

Offer only Harsk....

but I usually have them all but to new players I try to limit the selection to the easiest pregens to play. If it is a regular who just needs a pregen I then offer them anyone they might want.

I say halfling scrollmaster Wizard into a Loremaster. This seems like a great sub-optimal build to me. If you have to use the Pathfinder PrC I would go with Chronicler.

We have this with a couple at our local store and it works really well. I shudder to think of what they will be doing as they level together.

My group has recently finished Curse of the Crimson Throne and we have already started Second Darkness. We are moving into Children of the Void as of today.

We used a 20 point buy and I allowed for unusual races (RP 10) and for the use of the book Ultimate Psionics. I am also altering the story line from book 3-6. Additionally, I have installed the infamy/disrepute system with changes to make it a gangs of Riddleport meets Goodfellas idea instead of a Pirates of the Caribbean.

The PCs
1. Duergar Psychic Warrior
2. Half-orc Urban Barbarian/ Scarred Witch Doctor
3. Elven Magus
4. Half-elf Urban Ranger
5. Human Plains Druid
6. Human Rogue Cutpurse

My group just finished CoCT two months ago and after voting choose to do this one. I can tell from discussions they like the feel of Gangs of Riddleport idea.

I have a lot of partial ideas at this point. Bringing in a "Skullport" like city underneath Riddleport that is ran by Duegar. One of the PCs is playing this race so I am going to substitute them for some of the elves I think.

My main idea is to have Elias Tammerhawk be one of the antagonists through out the storyline. His obsession with the gate has lead him into an alliance with the drow. The drow are of course using him, but he wants what he wants...knowledge and power.

Book 1 and 2 look good as is...its three on that I will have to well tweak seems like an understatement. I am thinking the battle will take place in the darklands outside of the Duegar city. The Duegar will be battling with the drow and this will draw in the PCs due to their fellow Duegar PCs plight. Also I was thinking the Overlord and Avery have some connections to the place.

Looking for some help to flush this out more. Really want to give my players what they want and not railroad them into a story line they wont like. I know this might leave me with a lot of work, but that is okay. Its for the love of the game. So give me some ideas/ advice.

Also I am looking for write ups of Elias Tammerhawk and the other crimelords. Does anyone know if these are anywhere? Or if I will have to create them?

Thanks for the help

Not exactly true there is a whole line of the family in Korvosa. They are one of the Noble families of that beautiful city. So technically you could be from that side of the family.

This was a great read and now I remember why Elaine Cunningham's work in FR was some of my favorite. This short temptress of a story has me wanting more.

I have seen more characters die in the early levels (1-2) and that has been due to a combination of bad luck and bad choices. The most memorable was an instance when a character tired of the rogue checking for traps rushed to the next door and opened it. Of course that was the trapped one. GM confirmed a crit and rolled max damage. Needless to say rogue was up front checking there on out and we were down one player.

Right now my favorite characters are

Beshaba a Winter Witch 6 who loves to hex and curse people. She is totally uncharacteristic of most of my characters because she is egotistical, loves to throw around her power, and is never afraid to intimidate the lesser people.

Theodoric Maximus an (Aldori Swordlord)Fighter 2/ (Master of Many Styles) Monk 1...this is my Inigo Montoya flavored character. He is training to be the greatest sword fighter in Golarion. Of course he has been training to find the person who killed his family. Ties into a Kingmaker adventure path that never quite finished.

Out of favor but maybe making way back in

First Pathfinder Society character Amiko (Monk of the Four Winds) Monk 3 this character started off really well and enjoyed her, but could not get the third Quest for Perfection in so I retired her until I could fit that one in. Just did and now I find that I have other characters I want to play. So goes life in PfS I guess.

Horatio Burns Alchemist (Grenadier) 5 my second character who really filled the time. He can really dish out the damage and has some good skills. However, had some bad experiences (like accidentally killing a fellow pathfinder)with some badly thrown bombs. Kind of left a bad taste in his mouth and mine. However I think he may find his way out of a bottle soon and make another appearance at Gary Con.

A colleague and myself run an after school Pathfinder Society game every Tuesday at our school. Our response has been quite large. We run two full tables each week.

Our advertisement was a simple flyer posted, handed out through the school system, and posted on a website. I put in the flyer that its an RPG based on Dungeons and Dragons 3.5

Our current population of players are 4th grade up through 11th.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions if you have any.

Okay I love Frostfur captives, Murder on the Throaty Mermaid, any dealing with the blakros museum.

Frostfur was the first scenario that I ran so it has that, also the players had a blast playing it as well. Murder on the Throaty Mermaid had a lot of great RPing and I really enjoyed the possible different endings. Can run it several times and the plot can be slightly different each time. I have loved Mists of Mwangi, Voice in the Void, and Pneumbral Accords. Have not done the others but my group loves it when one of these is coming up.

Isn't that illegal, even in Wisconsin?

Not during hunting season.

Thanks for the help everyone I am going to look at those threads and give him your suggestions...

Also a quick question can you have the eidolon take the simple or exotic weapon feat to gain access to weapons or is that not allowed or just a bad idea?

Once again thanks for the feedback. We start our first scenario tomorrow.

Grand Lodge

I run an afterschool PfS club and have a student who wants to create a summoner whose Eidolon is basically a reflection of Shiva. So basically he wants a four armed warrior who can hold four weapons.

I am unfamiliar with summoner builds and exactly how to create this. I would love for some help on how to create this.

So please help away...
