I Will Bury My Hatchet

There has been a lot of hatred and discourse amongst us in the Paizo forum. We are a tight community bound by time and numbers constricted to a mini forum world that will eventually become Pathfinder Online. Every person who is reading this is anxious that their hopes for the game will not come to fruition. We are miniscule compared to what is coming to PFO. Alliances should be made now before OE because the mega guilds are coming.

Burying a hatchet is a sign that all perceived wrongs of the past are forgiven. I, as a player, vow that I will never use anything said on the Paizo boards against a player in game.

No guild signatures needed. Just sign if you can make the past the past.

Let's be honest. 90% of this stuff is cabin fever. We've been on these forums for a long time with no outlets other than flame war. I sign.

Can anyone who's read me imagine me holding a grudge about anything? /signed

EDIT: I agree with Avari; the toxicity's notably less for a few days immediately following a blog-post :-).

I'm gonna be totally honest and say I'm not signing this, since there are a very few people on this forum whose behavior I've found flat-out repulsive. I can't just forget they acted that way unless they can recognize their bad behavior.

I regret not being able to officially agree, but I will not hold anything against anybody as long as they showed some commitment to civility during or after the incident. That's my waffle.

Heeello, Feydred

Fult understands you won't attack someone because someone said something silly in the past. But Fult is puzzled about why burying weapons... Is it to make sure you won't attack because you are unarmed?

Feydred seems good person, even if fool enough to bury good iron. Fult will not bury his bardiche because Fulr wise, but Fult can let bardiche long enough to buy Feydred a beer at the tavern.

Mega guilds, huh ?! Alliances?... Fult not diplomat or... er... able to understand politics. But Fult knows what are alliances. Alliances are when people share values and goals. What are Feydread goals, apart burying weapons? Here, have a second beer.

And stop brandishing this paper, Fult not sign what he can't read.

I will bury my hatchet, but I can still crush man's head like grape between thighs.

The Kobold is lifting his little dagger. What can an eye-ball lift?

The freakiest thing of all. A glance without flesh for expression.

I have said this a few times in private, however this is an opportunity to do so in public.

I apologize for my actions that helped lead to the current climate of these forums. I let my anger and frustration override my intentions, and while I stand by the message of my posts, I understand that the tone was entirely unacceptable.

I will let bygones and bygones, and will do my very best not to repeat the mistakes of the last week.

Can I keep my hatchet though? It's rather dear to me. Killed my first big person with it...

And a public thank you to Morbis for doing just this in private earlier this weekend.

I think keeping everybody's mouth full of pancakes and maple syrup is working out well.

You can keep the axe, but really, they're so fluffy you can cut them with a fork.

Might come in handy for the back-bacon, though.

I don't think I have a hatchet to bury but I'll sign.

Come on, really Sanjeeve? (LOVED that movie!)

No hatchets to bury for me, I will peace bond my long sword until we get in game. Note I might still wack a kobold will the flat of the blade!

Alright Feydred. It is how I feel about life in general and a noble call. :)

I will clarify that I'm not holding "grudges". I have no grudges to hold, because people have been varying degrees of perfectly nice to me. Remarkably so, in fact.

Great. TEO has bacon of goodness, and now Erastil's Irregulars has back-bacon; no other Guild will be able to compete.

Can't drop that term soon enough.

/sign, but just for the sake of the intention of the poster, because I don't have any hatchet to bury.

Goblin Squad Member

I appreciate everyone who has ditched their hatchets. *gathers them up* My barbarians will make great use of them!

Goblin Squad Member

An excellent initiative and I'm happy to see it here.

All I have are daggers (and they are covered in fur!) - will those do?

Also, I'm glad to see a few key people in this thread (and elsewhere on the forums) settling down, re-evaluating things, and put things behind them. I'm sure there will always be some edginess between a couple (can't be prevented), but so long as it's kept off the forums I think we can all learn to play nice. :)

But seriously, there's foxfur everywhere now.

It largely revolved around the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow. We have simply agreed to disagree on this.

Never had a hatchet in the first place.....

Edit: ;)

Greetings friends and trusted allies,

As a bard and merchant who believes the best path in life is to get along with every one. I will gladly agree to bury the hatchet although I will have to run out real quick to go get one. I really try to be friends with everyone.

Now if you would like a rousing chorus of kumbaya that I can manage that right now.

Goblin Squad Member

I will not only sign this but also continue my 5-minute-visits on ALL team speak and mumble servers riddled with silly talk in an attempt to defuse all situations such as "personality-sliders".

You mean... there are other teamspeaks? You have been seeing other people? I thought we had something special, Papaver!

*runs off crying*

Goblin Squad Member

I will go ahead and sign this.

And, Papaver....*hands you 3 tater tokens* there is your stipend for the week, don't spend it all in one place!

I agree with the sentiments in this thread, though I hold nothing against anyone on these forums.

I love how passionate this community can get about this game, even prior to being able to play it! This excites me; it leads me to great hope for the future of PfO. While these forums can become rather obnoxious, they're far from the toxicity I've seen displayed on others.

I'm looking forward to playing with each and every one of you.

I'd bury mine if I could find it, but I suppose I can do the next best thing. The last thing I want to see is all the great players from here continue to hold personal grudges in game for each other because of some silly arguments about one thing or another MONTHS before the game launches.
