Yeah on normal books I am not that bothered by a bit of dining, cos they are for use. My box was literally the same size as the books, with only a token bit of bubble wrap. The Paizo corners mentioned above or a total wrap in bubble wrap (so it goes all around) would be better and possibly worth paying a bit more for. It just depends on how much more it would be!
Obviously FGG should take a hit for us weird foreign types ;)

It's a total bummer to purchase a $50+ book and have it arrive damaged.
My Slumbering Tsar arrived with a ripple in the cover.
My Rappan Athuk arrived with a ripped cover (Bill replaced for me).
Razor Coast arrived in perfect condition.
I will gladly pay a little extra in shipping to ensure a mint copy gets delivered the first time.

Received my books Friday in the Netherlands, number 334 and out seems to say SW though I have a PF copy - extra limited edition :-)
After years of waiting for the pre-order, and many trends of hours of proofreading, it is amazing to see it in the bookflesh!
Lou, thank you for all your efforts, and the spectacular credit on the front page! FGG, thank you for ask your efforts and investment and faith!
Jeff.

So I'm starting my Razor Coast campaign tomorrow, and could use a deity list. Other than Pele and Quell, who is available? Is there a list in one of my books I've just missed?
There's a section on the gods in the Freebooter's Guide. I used the information within to create a sort of gazetteer. I can send you a copy, if you like.

After four sessions of playing through "The Wormwood Mutiny", the PCs made it to Port Shaw. They have made enemies quickly; the half-orc scout and gnome alchemist have been scamming rich folks in Jade, selling bottles of perfume from the sunken ship at Bonewrack Island and picking the pockets of any poor fool who comes along to shop their wares. The Dragoons caught on rather quickly, but the alchemist took the fall for the crimes, leading them into an alleyway where the Dragoons met a nasty fate at the hands of some roaming skum.
So far the things they seem most interested in are the plot points urging them towards the sewer system: the Viscount's ring, stories of Tarath-Vreen's lost laboratory, and Durrell Ravenkith's ghost have all been pointing them that way. The scout got his butt kicked by the lowest level brawler at the Broken Skull while the other party members negotiated prices for their acquired loot and worked to sell their existing ship and replace it with another, more suitable vessel (they're aiming to buy the Thunderstrike and renovate it in dry dock somewhere away from Port Shaw).
The only problem is, Riaris Krine from "The Wormwood Mutiny" is nominally the captain and legal owner of the boat they seized on behalf of Harrigan in the prologue, but she's been thrown into the brig at Fort Stormshield along with Falken Drango, Miliauka, and Harok. Whispers in the city say that Drango, Krine, and a smattering of other criminals the Dragoons have rounded up are going to be executed at sunrise to set an example to would-be pirates along the Razor. The PCs are preparing to mount a jailbreak to get her out via the sewer system, since a substantial amount of their property is in her name (and forging the documents to "transfer" ownership proved more difficult than expected).
This week, they'll be up against giant roaches, sahuagin, gibbering mouthers, and Dragoons with long nines. So far, we are having a blast with Razor Coast!

One thing that does worry me a bit: this group is VERY mercenary and heroism isn't exactly their forte. I'm not sure how effective they are going to be at defending Port Shaw from the impending attack. They completely bailed out on Sandara Quinn and left her on Bonewrack, electing instead to defend the ship from ghouls and "mer-goblins" until the rest of the crew could finish the hull patch. I do plan on making Sandara a wereshark in service to the Disciple of Dajobas and bringing her back as a villain seeking revenge on them for deserting her, though. >=D

No doubt they are mercenary! They will need to make allies with someone and it will be doubtful that it will be the waveriders from the sound of it. My players also did The Wormwood and then Scorned to get to level 5 but sold the Man's Promise. Both the fighter and ranger lost quickly at The Skull due to lack of unarmed strike. They went some 60' into the sewers and got waylaid by the Skum. The cleric was killed in round one and the ranger died also. The fighter and rogue crawled out with 1 hit point between them. Sandara will be making a reappearance tomorrow night as out cleric player will be out of town. Glad to hear you all are having a good time with it though. If they break of Falken Drago perhaps they can get an ally there.

Hoo boy. My party hit the sewers last night.
So then they head south and meet the replacement PC for the magus, a sun-weathered dwarf fighter dual-wielding waraxes, engaged in a battle with the six sahuagin who guard the area that leads to the Fort Stormshield latrines. It's an easy enough fight for five 5th-level PCs, made easier by the human oracle intimidating three of the sahags into running away... but then the half-orc barbarian/scout decides to head south after the cowardly sahuagin and see what's in that chamber while the other PCs are talking to the new guy.
Cue hydrodaemon and summoned sewage elemental. A long battle ensues, ending with the gnome alchemist fleeing the sewers in gaseous form and the half-elf sea witch following him, using her prehensile hair to drag herself out of the sewer grate in the roachlord's lair. The new dwarf is knocked unconscious, the scout bleeds to death from multiple bite wounds, and the oracle is subdued and knocked out by the skum to the northeast, where he fled using his fluid form ability.
The oracle and dwarf woke up in a cell in Fort Stormshield next to Drango and the other prisoners. We ended the session with the inciting incident of Drango's escape, with the others about to hang from the gallows alongside him, just as he decks the Dragoon lieutenant and a pair of arrows (from the zen archer replacing the deceased scout) severs the ropes around the other PCs' necks...
So far I have killed three PCs in this game. Two of them have died since we got into Port Shaw, so Wormwood Mutiny is only responsible for ONE of those deaths. This is also only Session 2 of RC proper. Well done, Frogs. Well done indeed.

I find it funny how much joy the GMs are getting out of killing their players with this stuff. You guys are sick and twisted! :)

No deaths tonight.
The party had been hired to serve on The Sealord’s Blessing and talked to Captain Riggs who informed them they would leave at first tide in two days. The new ranger decided he wanted to go to The Skull to bet on fights so they headed in that direction. They picked up a few whispers and rumors and then ran into Milliauka and the Dragoons. They managed to convince him not to fight but could not convince the Dragoons to release him despite their best efforts. They did some checking with the Tulitas in the area and found where they could get information on him and managed a 38 Diplomacy roll so I had them take the party to Mokoli Ali'I. He wanted the old shaman rescued and was willing to do it himself. The party told him they would do that they could and headed toward Fort Stormshield. At the Fort I ran the Falken Drango encounter and they decided to recapture him and use that to talk Hargrove into releasing Milliauka. They were able to bring him down and Hargrove agreed, but made them responsible for his future actions.
Afterwards they boarded ship and left port. Little do they know what lies ahead, but they gained valuable information for when they return.

When did Fire As She Bears ship? I'm trying to figure out if I got it and packed it for the move or never got it...
I also got mine right off. With all that you got, perhaps it was overlooked?

I guess you missed mine Nick!
Just read it! Awesome!
I love that PCs are getting some beat downs at the Broken Skull. I had so much fun writing that place.
I am crazy about Improved Unarmed Strike. In fact I pulled out a bunch of PCs I've played in the last several years and MOST of them have it.
Well, they tell ya, 'Never hit a man with a closed fist.' But it is, on occasion, hilarious.

Hey Nick, who was the original Sea God in the 3.5 draft? I noticed that Solomon Trafalgqr is said to have been a paladin (so LG) of Quell (CG?) in the finished version.
Personally I never saw the issue of a paladin for almost any non-evil god. So the deity is CG, he cannot have a paladin who is LG?
