Sincerest apologies, Finder's Keeper. Got hit by a RL s$@+storm and it doesn't look like it's going to clear anytime soon, so it would be best for me to bow out. Sorry for the runaround. I was looking forward to playing.

Thanks

Mang

I'm sorry to see you go, but I do appreciate the head's up. Maybe our paths will cross again in the future. Best wishes!

My approach to this situation depends on whether drinking in public is illegal; even if it's only "technically" illegal...

What are the laws on that sort of thing?

Totally improvising here...

Drinking in public is legal, although clearly intoxicated individuals can be hauled in to sober up in a cell. On a day of public celebration such as this, there are likely many people drinking, and so the constabulary is probably forced to show some leniency on public intoxication, so long as people aren't causing trouble.

All, I believe I have located two more players to join us on the recruitment thread...a half-elf bard (Vekeshi Mystic theme feat) and some sort of arcane caster (Docker theme feat).

Also, I've create a dedicated GM profile for this game, hence the avatar change.

Ok, I am Corum Merandur, a Vekeshi Mystic. I have decided to use my powers of persuasion to convince dissident elements to assimilate into society.

Will get my character "rolled up" soon. Let's make our marks in the RHC.

Waves a greeting to all. Will have a post-bohemian Docker caster type done up later on tonight.

(Male Human Barbarian 3)

I am trying Bard - FK would a detective archetype fit better than a magician archetype? A detective seems a better fit for RHC.

Agreed, detective would be a great fit, but there's nothing wrong with your original idea either. A bard in general should do very well here, regardless of archetype.

I've two concepts and either would be fine with me:

A salty Sorcerer with the Tattooed Sorcerer archetype from Inner Sea Magic (if allowed). Would be Maestro bloodline and likely enchantment focused.

Or a Cleric which is a bit world weary and used to be more of a firebrand speaker. Probably Evangelist archetype.

Which would the party prefer?

I once heard someone say "Everyone wants me to play a cleric but me"

Seriously, I think the evangelist cleric would be good for the world and the roleplaying opportunities - not to mention healing.

Oh, man, both of those sound awesome. I'll defer on expressing a preference, and see what the other players say for now.

(Male Human Inquisitor 1)

I'm on the fence, both concepts sound great. I lean a little toward the cleric, since I considered a rabble-rousing docker cleric before I settled on my inquisitor :)

Bedtime for me here in Malaysia (albeit at 1:30 in the morning) - and will leave it open for Pixel Cube, Scranford and AlanM to offer their preference on option. Will be pretty quick for me to churn out the character when I awaken later.

Had to put something on the Gameplay Thread - To quote American Pie 2 - "Someone needs to get this party started.

I felt my role would be as an undercover plant in the crowd.

Yeah, okay. That should work.

Regarding Character: The cleric could be a neat addition, but honestly I prefer not suggest things for people to play as I've been on the other end of that and had it not work out well.

Also, just as a heads-up, my finals are coming up, so if I am quiet for the next week and change, that's why.

No problem, AlanM, thanks for the notice!

Since the consensus thus far is for the Evangelist, I'll get him statted up and put forward for review.

This will be Mark's Cleric Profile - still needs to be updated in the profile and a new picture selected.

Sounds good, Mark!

Ok, Lorth should be ready for a once-over.

I've used 20pt buy, no traits, and average wealth. Still need to fill in the theme feat details and some local colour, but my copy of the Zeitgeist Player's Guide is at home so will do so tonight.

Still need to do all the derived numbers (like AC, etc) - but again will get to those later.

As far as introduction, I'd just assume that I was another constable who was assigned to keep the peace? - perhaps I make an entrance on the side of the other PCs when the first skirmish or kerfuffle starts?

I think that should work, Mark. You can go ahead and jump in the game thread whenever you're ready.

GM Finder - are you ok with me using the following spell (From Faiths of Purity)?

Tap Inner Beauty:
(Shelyn)
School divination; Level bard 1, cleric 1
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, M (a tiny mirror)
Range personal
Target you
Duration 1 minute/level
This spell allows you to tap into the natural beauty of your soul
and let it shine from your eyes and your speech. While the spell is
active, you gain a +2 insight bonus on all Charisma ability checks
and Charisma-based skill checks.

Yep, that's okay with me.

GM Finder and fellow Zeitgeisters - just a forward notice, from 14th December to 10th January I will be going on vacation back downunder to visit relatives and whatnot.

While I will retain net access throughout the trip, it's likely that my available online time and therefore post rate will drop down. If needed at any time, please feel free to DMPC Lorth (once introduced) to keep things rolling onwards.

I like that new avatar for Lorth!

Thanks for the heads up, Mark.

(Male Human Inquisitor 1)

Vacation notice!

Pasting this to the discussion threads of all my games...

I'll be traveling halfway around the world starting tomorrow. I should have regular internet access the whole time, but I may miss a day while I'm in transit, and for the next month or so I'll be in the GMT-10 timezone instead of my usual late-evening GMT posts.

Apologies for my posting delay...I'm under a crushing work deadline at the moment, only for another day. My next update will advance things substantively. Hang in there, and thanks for being patient.

@GM Finder: How are things going? We got off to a good start, does it seem likely that this game will continue?

ditto

*pulls out defibrillator*

CLEAR!

BZZZT!

LIVE!

Corum looks at his watch and looks at AlanM

Do you want to call it or should I?

(Male Human Fighter (Pole Arm Master) / 1)

Not looking good is it?
