Before sleeping, Caelus nods to Oynar, waving his hand, and the eidolon disperses into a brief-lived golden mist.

After resting, the summoner calls Oynar again, rises, and looks around the makeshift camp.

"Oynar and I will accompany you, " he says to Naravash and Red Stick. " He sees well in darkness, and can move quickly. "

After being relieved, Sarthonn has a bit to eat and maintains his equipment.

"Considering Kenabres was flooded with demons before the earth swallowed us up, I think we should be as cautious as we can be in trying to find our way out of here. The three survivors are up and they thank all of you for their rescue.............and begin to introduce themselves.

Human Woman:
"Anevia Tirabade is my name and despite my broken leg, I'm far from useless. I have some skill with the bow and I'm familar with Kenabres, though being underground could limit my help. I'm also handy with any traps or locks if you need me to. I'll appreciate your help in getting me back to the top side. My loved one will definitely be grateful as weill I."

She reaches for her pack and pulls out a shortbow and strings it. She takes a look at Koba and her eyes narrows.
"You're a long way from home Kobold."

Blind Elf:
"I am Aravashnial,a conjurer of some power. I am also a scholar on the study of magic, demons, their home and history of the world."

Upon hearing Anevia's words.
"A Kobold? Here is Kenabres? I would dearly love to study you but I seem to have no eyes for it." self deprecating chuckles come from the elf "I have come across written studies on your kind, related to dragons or so your kind has being proclaiming. Some of you have being known to show arcane powers. Is it true your scales denote heritage? Does your relation to dragons make it easy for your kind to use their brand of magic? So many questions I have, perhaps you could allow me to question you as we travel back?"

Human Male Horgus Gwerm:
Horgus snorts at the elf's rambling.
"Hush Aravashnial. YOur senseless prattling does us no good, your eyes have being taken, a pity. You should have lost your tongue. These fine heroes have agreed to esscort us back home and once I'm back, I shall see to their reward. Besides all of you need someone like me to lead you."

Aravashnial retorts:
"Lead us you say, with your dealings I suspect any leading you do will lead us to one way. A way no one else would be interested in....."

Horgus face reddens:
"Watch your tongue Elf, it's tongues like yours that bring us noble down especially with no proof......"

Anevia cuts in before the two can argue any further.
"Enough you two!! We're already in dire straits as it seems. My wife is waiting for my return as is all our loved ones. Quarrel if you must....after we survive this....."

lol Ignore the kobold. It was supposed to be Tiefling....Each table has a 'bad guy' Tag you're it. Was tired when typing that out.

This is the correct one for your table.

Sarthonn listens to the 3 survivors bicker. "Well, Anevia Tirablade, Aravashnial, and Horgus Gwerm, it is nice to meet you. I am Sarthonn Elenviel, Spear of the Crusade."

Then the half elf continues, "I think our companion here is right. The people on the surface have enough to worry about as it is, and they may not even realize we are gone. Now that everybody looks fit to travel, we should put our differences aside and work on getting back to the surface. We need to rescue ourselves and not expect that somebody will do it for us."

The party follows along with the surviors somewhat muted as they move along. Leaving your relatively safe cavern, the party and survivors make an easy path as they travel along until the path they are on opens up into another cavern.

The ceiling and far walls of this vast cavern recede into darkness. On one side, the wall has collapsed in an enormous mound of rubble—here and there the arms or legs of victims who didn’t survive the fall protrude. In the back of the cavern, a disturbing shape looms. Nearly the size of a horse, what appears to be an immense black spider crouches silent and still on the ground.

Naravash hisses back to the group, "Hold it!" He raises his bow and backs up slowly to the group, never taking his eyes from the spider.

Razul attempts to 'speak' with the large spider but doesn't get a response. The Spider itself seems more demonic than spider but its dying pose suggests at least a close relation with its legs curled up and lying on its back.

Something seems really off with it though as it seems to be breathing and something seems to be burrowing within it. Razul can't be too sure but something's wrong.

Razul slowly backs away from the spider, drawing his cold-iron scimitar as he does. He hisses in a low voice toward the others. "It is dead, but something moves within it. Make ready for danger!"

Sarthonn speaks and moves slowly to not alert the spider, or whatever killed the spider.

Firmly grasping his shield and unsheathing his longsword, he moves to the front of the group. "Stay behind me and keep your wits about you, " he says to the rest of the group. Sarthonn takes a defensive position while everybody else prepares themselves.

Readied action: attack with longsword, should the spider move into range.

Male Half-Orc Rogue 2: (HP 21/21, AC 16 FF15 T11, F+2 R+4 W+0, Init+1, Per+5, Evasion)

"It's probably got some giant maggot or something inside. Everybody just take a wide berth around the thing, don't get close enough for it to smell you, and it might do just fine to stay right there."

Red Stick keeps his bow at the ready and stands between the spider and the rest of the group, at least 30 feet away from the arachnid.

Naravash shakes his head in disagreement as Red Stick suggests avoidance, "I'd rather deal with any potential threats now than leave them behind us. It wouldn't do to leave whatever it is there only to have it charge up from the rear later and attack our wounded. I say we deal with it now."

Barring any complaints or arguments, Naravash turns back to the writhing remains and snaps off a shot into the spider's husk.

"Oynar! Help Razul!" Caelus orders. The eidolon runs a long curve around the maggots, attacking from the other side...

If possible to do in 40' of movement and avoid an attack of opportunity, Oynar will set up a flank with Razul. If not, he'll avoid the AoO, and just attack Razul's target.

Meanwhile, Caelus steps to the side and, with a few strange harsh words and a snapping, throwing motion, hurls a small blob of acid at the second maggot.

With an annoyed glance at Caelus, Oynar courteously pads a few feet away from the group, then shakes himself vigorously, spraying slime and maggot bits all around.

He trots back to Caelus and sits, tilting his head. His voice, sounding like three different voices speaking simultaneously, is low as he asks, "This was the glorious crusade you wanted me to join? Maggots?"

Caelus valiantly stifles his grin, and merely shrugs in reply.

Naravash cringes as gore fountains out of the slain maggots, coating all those nearby. "I see what you mean about consequences for breaking nature's cycle, Razul."
