Aroden is revised now, including a sketch of Level 11.
Exploiter wizard doesn't really work with mythic, since both mythic power and arcane reservoir abilities often cost a swift action. So I revised him to be a foresight diviner, focusing on divination, abjuration, and a few enhanced buffs.
His main trick at low levels will be giving the party a nice at-will aura buff by waving his sword around and proclaiming his greatness (Divine Fighting Technique - Inspiring Sword).

Would Prestige classes from the new Paths of the Righteous be allowed?

Or stuff from Blood of the Beast?

Both of those sources seemed reasonable.

Alright, I'm back with my submission--after a lot of debate over what to play, I've settled on a classic sort of concept that should be fun in a lighthearted game. I'm putting forward Karnag, son of Kerrak, a savage warrior from fallen Sarkoris destined for greatness! He loves nothing more than battle, booze, and fine company, and looks forward to a romp across the Worldwound. The profile should have everything you need, let me know if anything looks off!

Grand Lodge

Oi, Loup, let me be the first to say that Karnag's 11th level power vital strike is scary as all hell. Like, I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end under any circumstance.

Also, Kellid best race.

Yeah, such is the way of mythic. Mythic Power Attack is... powerful, to understate, and Mythic Vital Strike really just makes Vital Strike a viable tactic alongside full attacks. I do think even Mythic Vital Strike is a little less silly than regular old full attacks, so it's probably not as horrifying as I could get--and going Guardian rather than Champion balances him to the defensive side--but it all fit the concept better.

Forgive me if its formatted badly this would be my first play by post character.

Wow, scared me there, for a moment. I thought Karnag was one of the abusers getting plenty of base weapon dice through shenanigans, then dealing 1000+ damage on the mythic vital strike.

Glad to see that is not the case...2 out of 2 GM's I played mythic with yet DID alter the feat, though - not sure about doc buzzard but maybe best check to avoid divine bolts from heaven ;)

Hi. Reviewing, scanning, lots of options to be thought of (level 20 mythic build, wow). So, one question:

Lots of GMs seem to forbidd or tweak the Double Path mythic feat. I was considering on picking it to combine Trickster/Champion. Is that ok for you?

He can always screw us with miss chance, swashbuckler style parries and good ol' "Controlling the Melee Beast and make him kill his friends".

That was what got me scared, right there ;)

Such shenanigans tend to backfire, in a way that discourages future experiments of a similar sort.

In regards to shenanigans, it is well to remember that anything you pull, can be pulled right back at you. The GM has a whole world to work with.

Perhaps a list of all applicants?

If you mean me, well that will happen Jan 1 when I go over all the applicants, and I don't think I will post it.

If you mean someone else, well I've recruited before and not given special consideration to the people who make such lists in hope of special consideration, so I don't hold out much hope. (Upon one selection, the person who had compiled said list expressed dismay that he had not been selected in spite of compiling that list, hence the special consideration assumption).

You are welcome to compile such a list yourself, but it should be understood that it will garner you no special favor in selection.

Hello, and Happy New year in antici...

...pation.

Finally had the time to roughly post a 20/10 build (sorry, these days are crazy with all the family visiting and all that jazz).

Please consider that the builds could change later due to game challenge, enemies encountered, house ruling, items found, etc. but mostly that is what I'll be looking for.

I omitted the 20/10 build so far. In my opinion, that depends too much on the group, the dynamics, the relative power between group members and possible synergies.
What I refer to is that the first 5-12 levels are usually necessary to get a characters concept idea going...a feat chain, a combat style, casting support feats - something that enables the character to do what they are made to do in a way that distinguishes them from a generic character of their class...anything after those levels varies wildly, between further empowering what the character already does, patching up present weaknesses, or coordinating with other people in the party.

As far as I understood, drbuzzard was requesting a 11/5 build to see the direction we are going to take, help understand the concept idea, or that was my reading.

So GM: Would a full 20/10 build version in some way make it more likely to be considered - as it seems it turned into a ad-hoc standard to include it in the submission? I can do that, but it would be wildly inaccurate, most likely, so I was not convinced that it makes sense to include it. But if you would like a Snap Shot of potential end-game power level we aim for, I can provide that.

A 20/10 build isn't necessary, though it is interesting to look at. As Bron said, any build is subject to change to adapt to how things actually play out.

drbuzzard wrote:
I'd like to know where you are going with the build. This is a 20 level with full 10 tier mythic by the end.

Sorry, I understood that at the time as "Wanna know where you're going = Show me your 20/10". Happens when you read with the house full of running children! :)

Usually, I have about a pair of hours every day to post, so time enough to read more carefully :P I have to say, though, that I'm from Europe, and not an English native speaker. Though I haven't had any problem so far, I think it's just fair to tell in advance in case you consider it a handicap.

Thus said, Happy New Year to everyone and good luck!

Oh well, extra brownie points or not, it's not that much work, so I added one possible progression for Regular&Mythic Feats/Path Abilities in the sheet, and tripled the Offense&Defense Statblock for the 3 milestones.

Legendary Item should be an Armor, if those are in.
If you'd prefer we skip legendary items, there's plenty of other fancy abilities to take.

I count lots of Tricksters and Archmages, but only one Hierophant.

Silver Crusade

I proposed a Marshal but I may be too cliche for this recruitment.

Tanrov has been updated for the Mythic abilities that I did not know existed..

Tanrov can also switch to Hierophant path easily enough, his background is already suitable and I have the Silver Holy Symbol.

JoshB wrote:

Hierophants RULE!!!

OK, here's my picks.

Kevin Hurly
Marcus McCain
Molitor Rask
Xandarian Quartermain
Uelarik the Eldritch
Tanrov Shadow-Graxt

Thanks for all the submissions, and sorry if I missed some questions.

This will likely take some time to complete, but I will run it again as there always seems to be demand. Also, unless the stars have aligned in some special fashion, someone of the above will drop out and I'll need replacements. I will keep the submissions here in mind for that (if you want, if you don't let me know).

The chosen players should head over to dotting and such.

CONGRATS! GIVE THE DEMONS MANY SMITINGS!

Congrats to the selected!

Congrats. Do enjoy.

Silver Crusade

yayy guys have fun.

I always hated recruitments over the holidays, I never have the time to really give it the attention it deserves.

anyway have fun guys

congrats
