I seriously considered seeing if I could just import Ansha from Sargavan Saga into this game in place of Alicia. Since we're calling me Ansha anyway. ;P

By the way, Mark: Vhailor.

Gnome Wizard (Familiar Adept) 3

Pretty close ;)

I'd track the beardage a wee bit up past the chin line though. A bit more Abe Lincoln and a bit less neck beard.

I looked up 'wispy beards' online and all the ones I saw looked like this guy, so I went with that. In hindsight, I probably could have just used your character avatar. ;P

"Live free or die!" the crowd echoes enthusiastically, adding a few whoops and cheers as they briefly burst into applause. Ruby is beaming, her earlier fears forgotten as she clutches her hopeknife.

So it just occurred to me that Trunau is in New Hampshire.

I needed some kind of motto for the Hopeknife ceremony, and Paizo wasn't kind enough to provide me with one so I borrowed New Hampshire's. ;P

I've updated the loot list with who has claimed what. We'll presume that Ali and Marikel don't have the stuff they just laid claim to until they have a chance to return to Sanctuary and pick it up. The unclaimed items (chain shirt, falchion, quartz amulet) can be sold and added to the loose coins for a total of 1318 gp, 4 sp, 4 cp. Split three ways, that's 439 gp, 4 sp, 8 cp each for Ali, Marikel, and Vhailor.

Ansha, that's a masterwork hand crossbow with a case containing 10 normal bolts, 10 cold iron bolts, and 10 silver bolts.

And with that, I'm going to consider the loot from the burned church dispersed.

Aww, Marikel would be so proud.

If only he knew.
If only you'd rolled decently.

:-)

;)

Alicia.

And a slightly-updated Vhailor, now with less neck-beard.

Very nice. Both of them. But I love Alicia's expression of disdain.

Gnome Wizard (Familiar Adept) 3

Well - I'm off to the boat tomorrow morning and after a lazy 5-6 hour sail I'll be offshore for a couple of weeks. I have no idea whether I'll get any internets - or what time / quality they'll be like - so watch this space to see if I come back online or not :P

Hopefully I'll be here tomorrow night... if not... then in about 15 days or so.

Gnome Wizard (Familiar Adept) 3

Short answer - not enough internet to be useful unfortunately... see you all in May :(

You will be missed. See you soon.

@Mark: :(

@AK: :D

Kaleb looked up at Marikel. The man clearly expected something from him, but the Halfling was obviously not getting the hint.

"Erm... I don't have any parchment on me to write it down, if that's what you mean..."

In truth, not even sure I myself understand the hint, let alone my character, sorry. But a nice chance to RP If it is something to do with keeping Othdan busy in some manner that takes me off-screen, can I OOC suggest we use Vhailor in this capacity instead?

Not a problem. I realised immediately there were no further hints to my thinking, but Marikel doesn't have Bluff or send message or anything like that so I left it.

I was going to leave an address to be contacted at, then immediately excluded the church. But asking for your permission or address in front of the guy would have been a tip off that I'm more interested in provoking a reaction from him than actually leaving a message.

So, we wait :-)

Bluff can be used untrained, and Marikel has a good Cha. Let's see.

Marikel Bluff to pass a secret message 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

There you go. Kaleb intuits that Marikel wants him to give his address ... which would just be the Ramblehouse and ask for Kaleb or Vhailor, I presume.

Wow... you should always roll the dice for me :-)

I always roll higher with my GMing dice than with my PCing dice.

Male Halfling Swashbuckler 2

I roll epicly in both roles.

...which is very annoying when you're playing a save-or-suck/save-or-die Enchanter and your opponents are constantly negating your actions by saving successfully. I learned the value of Persistent Spell thanks to you. ;P

My favorite of AK's characters, because of this ability:

Quote:

Mystic Insight (Su)

At 5th level, a ki mystic becomes apt at giving just the right word of advice in just the nick of time. As an immediate action, the monk can spend 2 ki points to grant an ally within 30 feet the ability to reroll a single attack roll or saving throw. The ally must be able to hear the monk to gain the reroll benefit.

The DM let AK roll the reroll to save time. Every time one of us failed a save, he'd reroll it into a success.

Ah, Legacy of Fire... how we've missed you.

So I made another blonde, Joana, and thought of you. ;P

Another A name, too. :)

I...hadn't even intended that part.

He'll be arriving shortly. Just letting the first three on the scene react first, even if their decision is merely to wait until the party is complete before acting. :)

Gnome Wizard (Familiar Adept) 3

Well... wasn't meant to be heading back offshore until Saturday... but turns out I'll be back on the boat at about midnight tomorrow night!

So I'll be back out of contact until the 28th ish of May. There is a slim chance I'll be able to snaffle some post time during the trip - but I'm not holding my breath too much.

For clarity: You're entering the burned church by the front doors? Or going around the outside?

hp 36 / 36; AC 19; Init +1 Male Human Cleric 4

Striding forth to meet with Alicia. So round the outside.
Marikel is bossy- but obedient and Alicia did wave him over.

Female Human Rogue 4

Oh, now I definitely have to do it!

Sorry, Dave, I got so caught up in getting the combat and map advanced, I forgot to reply to Marikel until I saw Braddon post in Riddleport. I edited it into my last post.

Mark, I believe you still have to pick two languages for Vhailor at second level.

Male Halfling Swashbuckler 2

Assume Kaleb is with Marikel.

Its my stag do this weekend, may be a day or two before I can check the thread.

Have a good time, AK! When's the wedding?

Assuming she doesn't fall off the roof with that roll:

You don't know how much I've been wishing these were spiders with Improved Bull Rush. What's the fun in having an encounter on a rooftop if you don't have a chance to push someone off it?

But since Skyreaver ended up dropping spider #1 with his talon attack and there was no way for Ali to get a flank on #2, I just left her where she was for her attack: no 5-foot-step or Acrobatics check needed.

Lol! That's just wrong. Pretty funny though.

I'd laugh, personally.

Also, congrats, AK!

You don't need Improved to try. Particularly with the way Alicia is rolling =). Thank you for congratulations. Am still flushing toxins from my system.

Unfortunately, my spiders aren't rolling all that well, either. They put the young template on these, to have two of them in the encounter, but it makes their attack roll pretty anemic. Being Small makes them harder to hit, though, so I suppose it lengthens the encounter, even if they're not exactly threatening.

That's the only thing saving Alicia's pride when she can't even land a hit on the things.

Gnome Wizard (Familiar Adept) 3

Right - back offshore again tomorrow... will be out there for another couple of weeks again. Back to KL on the 25th of June.

The two weeks you're gone seem to last a lot longer than the two weeks you're home. :P

Gnome Wizard (Familiar Adept) 3

That it does - even more so for me :P

By the way, Javell, a hearty welcome to Joana's other game.

Sorry to be rude. :-)

Oh, yes, general introductions: I've been remiss. I think everyone knows Javell but Ansha. Ansha, Javell; Javell, Ansha.

Nahhhh. Not in the least. I figured it was just simpler to keep on rolling anyway. Like Joana said: I know everyone except for Ansha(Although, I've seen the name around).

And with that... Hello, Ansha. :)

Likewise, I've seen the name around. Hello to you too, Javell!

Sorry, guys. Had a busy Father's Day weekend with a lot of family stuff, and my son leaves for camp tomorrow so I spent today packing and making checklists. The bus leaves at lunchtime tomorrow, so I'll advance the gameplay thread tomorrow afternoon.

I note the Professor referred to Elrisiel as Ansha in the Mummy's Mask thread. See? It's not just me. :)
