The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

Sigh.
'Here I am...new surroundings. I don't know what I'm supposed to learn here, but the elders seem to think I'm supposed to have some life altering experience. They worry too much I think. The unknown is the spice of life...you can't know everything, you have to ignore that fear of it and move on.'

A young man, 5'9' with fashionably unkempt dark hair strolls up to the doors of Avalon Academy. He looks at his invte and acceptance letter one last time, and walks on in.

He looks at the small map of the school, and heads toward the student admin center to check in. He shows the clerk his papers, and she mutters something about all the new midterm entries. He chuckles and bows respectfully as he heads to his room with his class schedule. Looks like he'll have his work cut out for him, catching up mid term.

He walks casually checking out his surroundings as has become reflex, and notices how quiet it is. This place may not be so bad after all...

"It's one of those self-explanatory things. He's Mad. Wants to share with the whole universe. It's a troublesome problem, but the previous Champions of Madness were more easily contained. This one has taken us all by surprise."

Gaelvin smirks at the man.

"Don't you find it strange that your the only one who heard me. My song got to you, which means you have a connection to it in some way. Anyways my music never disturbs unless I want it to, so if that is your concern its a non-issue."

The sense motive was to pick up any reason why he would be mad, if his playing at night is the real reason disregard it. He takes few things at face value.

Ah, that makes sense. Taron seems more worried about the songs origin than the fact it might wake anyone up. I believe singing dragonsong went out of style as the Hunter's point of view became more wildly accepted.

Taron, realizing this person was right about the song and remembering that the Hunter's were already after his family, became immediately wary. He dispels the illusion covering him, making him appear human once more, before he continues.

"It's not often you hear a song like that. I'm interested in where you learned it."

Crapola - we keep missing each other like ships in the night....(sigh) ;P

Fei quickly checks the other occupied beds - none of them have patients with bite marks.

"What...happened to the student who was bitten?" he asks as he tries to remember how the nurses use the Infirmary's interface terminals...

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to realize the guy with a chunk missing from his shoulder wasn't in the infirmary! I was beginning to lose faith in the good guys!

Hey, I'm busy over here being unconscious because I saved the kid even though he was a jerk. ;P

Yeppers. I just ran out of posting time yesterday. ^.^

Fei manages to get the terminal to activate, and pull up the video footage of the last hour or so. He is able to see the attack, and the computer queries him about using facial recognition to identify the student. He agrees, and receives some preliminary data about Michael Dacamara, including his room assignment.

"I...need to be sure this student does not require any further clerical treatment for the bite he sustained. If you could remain here until the nursing staff arrives, Krays, I would be grateful."

Fei hits the alarm/call button for the night nurse staff, then makes haste down the halls to Mr. Dacamara's room.

Michael jumps as he's shaken from his imaginings by someone knocking at his door. He puts on a fresh shirt and opens the door to see someone he doesn't recognize...

"Hello."

Back in her room, Kitty fishes through the boxes until she finds the things she needs. After all, if she gets the scroll done tonight it could dry wihile she slept and then she could give it to Michael in the morning. She gets to work, humming happily and laughing when Saffire got coated in paint while trying to 'help'.

"Hello."

"Good evening, Mr. Dacamara," Fei replies with a respectful bow.

"I am...Fei, and I am a healing assistant in the Infirmary. It...has come to my attention that you were the victim of an attack earlier this evening involving a dhampir. The evening medical staff is being made aware of this as we speak."

"I understand that healing magic was administered to you by Miss Ephebe, but I wanted to check and make sure you were not suffering any other...side effects from the incident that would require a cleric's immediate attention."

Fei:
It may be nothing, but Michael's right eye does not match his left. The pupil is slightly larger, and the color is starting to change to blue. He also flinches at the mention of the attack.

"No.. I think I'm fine." Michael says softly. "Just a little freaked out. I didn't think he'd bite me..."

"I am...sorry that you had to experience that. Inquiries are being made in order to find out if something has happened to Asch to cause this behavior. We will hopefully have answers soon, but he is currently not a threat to anybody else."

Fei notices the discrepancy in his eyes. The profile picture from the Infirmary did not show such a trait...

"...If I may ask - have you always had bi-chromatic eyes? Your right eye seems to be changing color from brown to blue, and the pupil appears to be somewhat enlarged, rather than dilated. Your medical profile does not show this trait - did you get any of his blood in your eye?"

Male Half-Elf

"What?" Michael goes to his desk and picks up the a small mirror, using it to look at his eyes. "They weren't like that before. I know I didn't get anyone of his blood in my eye, because I never had a chance to even punch him. Maybe it has something to do with my blood being drained and then being magically replaced."

In game time, I know it's only been a few hours, but Vakkler hasn't asked Aananda to take care of the ramp in Michael's room. It's still there.

"That...does not usually happen with magical healing," Fei replies, looking puzzled. "But it could be possible. It may also be a manifestation of the bite. We should get you to a cleric to be on the safe side. If you do not wish to return to the Infirmary because of what happened, I can ask for one to come here directly to make sure you are alright."

As this is the first dorm room Fei has seen, I doubt he would think anything of it at the moment. (^-^)

Just putting it out there.

Michael quickly realizes that people he doesn't know in his room may not be the best thing.

"No, I'll go. I've been standing up to people lately, and I won't stop that now." Michael says as he leaves his room and locks the door behind him. "Can't just let bullies win, can I?"

Gaelvin keeps playing, the song was nearly over. The illusions were shifting now into a draconic paradise with flights soaring thru the skies.

"Oh here and there, I do request and make it a point to study new songs. You mind telling me what world and plane I am on?"

Taron stoically ignores the longing he feels for this illusion to be real, to be able to fly freely.

"You are in Agartha. A plane all it's own, and a world too. If you didn't know that, it means you're new here and don't know that that particular song and these illusions are dangerous. There are people hiding among the student body that do not like dragons, and that is putting it kindly."

He shrugs.

"Please forgive the question, but why did he treat you in the way you describe?"

Basically as a deeper darkness but as if it were a ninth level spell for purposes of being dispelled. But only once a day. Deeper darkness the normal version unlimited times per day.

He disappears his song fading with him. Down the hall he can be seen jogging away.

His speed is 120 ft., just so you know.

Krays will notice that Asch's coat traanforms to something that resembles liquid shadow and that he is now the Champion of Darkness since he can tell that just by looking being the Champion of Death and all.

Male Human (Mole Zoanthrope) 16 Monk/Ninja

As he's walking down the halls, he notices that it's much more lively the closer he gets to the dormitories. He turns the corner and almost runs into Fei and Micheal on the way back to the infirmary.
*bows*
"My apologies."

Spoiler:
He looks like a typical Japanese 'anime' teenager, slight of build but lithe, spiked dark hair, wearing a dark blue, almost black gi, with an ornate looking obi (waist sash) and tabis (ninja boots). He has no visible weapons, and carries a simple pack on his back, with a rolled up sleeping mat attached to it. He's 5'9" maybe 175 lbs, hazel eyes.

And the bowing contest...begins.

Fei fluidly sidesteps himself (and Michael) at the near collision, then returns the bow respectfully.

"Hello. May I help you locate something?"

That student left before getting any treatment, but Fei has gone to retrieve him, and rang the bell for you to examine him upon arrival. Asch, here, I am keeping an eye on, but does not require medical assistance...maybe just psychological assistance. If I'm in your way I can leave. I think this requires the headmaster's attention anyway, if not Mr. Tamrin's."

Male Human (Mole Zoanthrope) 16 Monk/Ninja

Looks suprised for a second
"Ah, no, I can follow a map. It is nice to know there are civilized students here, though" he says respectfully as he bows again.
"Is there anything I can assist you with?"

Her look grows a bit more concerned.

"Well, I don't think Mr. Sunwake is back yet, but an incident like this definitely needs to be brought to the Headmaster's attention. I'll get a message off to him now. And you're not in the way at all - I'm sure he will want to speak with you directly since you have some knowledge of what's going on."

She motions for Krays to take a seat, then sends a message to the Headmaster summarizing what she was told.
