Take your time posting over the next few days. I'm just posting before hitting the road for the Holidays. I'll still be active.
Fhlangorn heads towards the stairs, and everyone else follows in suit.
Assume you're all lined up in a reasonable marching order on the stairs
The four wings of the tower are completely open on this level, forming one great, cross-shaped chamber with arched ceilings. The decayed remnants of a carpet run from the doorways at the end of each wing, meeting in the center, where a spiral staircase drops out of sight below. A large, throne-like chair stands in the middle of the eastern wing next to a big chest.
The ceiling is 20 feet high in this room; it is dimly lit by the daylight shining through the archways.
You see a troglodyte figure standing in the eastern archway, gazing longingly at the city in the distance. Next to his side you see an albino crocodile. Hearing you come up the stairs he turns towards you.

Looking at the troglodyte confused and trying to listen very hard, Prizm gives up. "He is a spellcaster! And I have no idea what the heck he is casting! But it's likely... not good."
Raising his wand the gnome fires another magic missile.

Post that impressive display of magic, Prizm shuffles to a safer spot.

"I hope this is the last one of these smelly beasts anywhere near by." Blue says as his blade pops into reality again. Then he rushes forward to slash through the spell caster, in hopes to disrupt his spell.

Krush gets a hit. Trog still standing, though not feeling well.
Sigrid seeks inner strength and miraculously brushes off the grossness of spiders crawling all over her face. Afterall, She could not be more affected by it than a man .
Sigrid's reroll is good. Not nauseated.
However, as soon as Sigrid steps towards the troglodyte the floor begins to give way, collapsing beneath everyone in the farthest 20 ft of this Eastern wing.

Trog takes the magic missile hit. After just pulling himself up. He's still standing (barely).
After glimpsing a fate that would not have been pretty Blue is able to manage grabbing onto the 5th floor ledge, after all. Booting the crocodile in the face to manage to hang on by a finger.
