The crackling discharge of magical electricity fills the room as a blue arc continues to leap and dance through the air between Kayne and the strange gelatinous cube

Striking out again with his longest weapon, Kiril shouts words of encouragement as another glob of goo is cut from the menace
Brunar and Flint assault the monster with ranged attacks

Wisdom Save: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (6) - 2 = 4
Dexterity Save: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (7) - 4 = 3

The cube shudders from the assault, and then is burnt once more by Grinley, who takes this opportunity to duck back into the hall

The cube lashes out at Kiril

But the big man is moving too quickly side to side for the slow ooze to strike him

"Ah, blisters!" Flint says as Kiril peels away to look for the startled dwarf. "It's not like we're busy or anything..." he growls.

"Just you and me now, jelly. You shakin'? Yeah, you're trembling with fear, I can tell!" Flint taunts, casting his spell again and flourishing with his rapier as he menaces the creature.

Psychic damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
DC 14 wis save. If it fails its save, the Ooze should have disadvantage on its attack roll.

Brunar quickly looks around, "Got Me?! He wuz jus here! If y'all want to look fer him, I'll stay with Flint to finish this thing off. But I suggest we kill it first then look for Grin?!"

Brunar adjusts any space he needs to keep himself from the cube and is able to cast without drawing an attack of opportunity.

The electrical charge between Kayne and the glob of goo grows in intensity, throwing off small showers of wet sparks all around just as Kiril darts out of the room looking for Grinely. When Flint moves in to taunt the strange thing again it explodes covering flint, Brunar and Kayne in a clingy sort of clear slime.

A flicker of flame appears on Brunar’s hand and then is put out but the sudden splatter of goo.

When the three try to wipe of the mess they are startled to find the mess has developed a static cling, and as they try to remove the slime it rolls around their hands and sticks like a sloppy liquid magnet.

There were some items floating in the cube and they are now on the floor. There is a small stylized silver warhammer on a silver chain, and several gold, silver, and copper pieces.

Kiril:
As you move into the hall to follow Grinely, you see Sandy is being helped to her feet by Gwendolyn and Kristyd. Gwendolyn looks at you and says, “What got into that fellow? He came running out of there so fast he ran right into Sandy and knocked her off her feet. He didn’t even stop to apologize, and ran back the way we cam as fast as his feet could carry him[/b].

Kiril comes back in and grins at the lot of them covered in slime. "You got it! Grinley's gone, he just made a run for it." He shrugs, but it seems to be bothering him.

Brunar stands horrified that goo is now splattered across his whole body like being covered from head to toe from a chamber pot. He takes his cleaning cloth and anxiously tries to get the goo off before doing anything else. "GAH! BY THE GRACE OF YERINA!" Brunar begins cussing in Dwarven. He looks at the items that dropped to the ground just in case something relevant to Yerina or Dwarven religion.

Kayne only sighs and tries to flick the stuff off his hands, particularly his gauntlet. He tries charging arcane energy a couple times, but lacking any simple fire-based spells he's hesitant to start throwing around bolts of energy in an attempt to clean himself. "Wonderful. A giant glob of clingy goo, without much treasure if any, and one of our dwarves decides to run off. A successful outing so far, hmm?"

"Right... right." He gets to searching the room for any secret doors.

Flint is distracted with the goo covering him. As he tries to roll it off, he becomes fascinated with its static cling. He rolls it back and forth between his hands, his eyes wide and his mouth open with amazed interest.

As the others talk, his attention slowly diverts off of the goo and onto the others. "Ran off? Eh, let him. Probably smarter than us lot. Oooo... Stuff!"

He crouches by Brunar and goes through everything that isn't relevant to Yerina or dwarvern religion.

Male, old, old, Male

Flint begins counting the coins, he finds gold coins, they appear to not that old, and bear the emblem of the current dwarven kingdom (6 gold pieces). He also finds 3 silver “pennies”, these are very old dwarven coins. The silver penny is worth the same as a two copper pieces, by today’s currency values, and is a very small coin weighing only about .55 grams, or .02 ounces (fifty of them are worth one gold piece today). In addition to these small silver coins there are five standard silver pieces. Finally there are 67 copper pieces.

Intelligence Ability Check, DC 10:
The small silver coins are pure silver, whereas the modern silver piece is only about 80% silver. A few generations ago the silver penny was worth the same as a copper piece, but the value of silver has gone up, while copper has remained about the same.

The small silver hammer is a priest holy symbol of the Dwarven Gog, Abburdun, the father of all dwarves, and the God of Devotion, hard Work, Protection of the weak and young, and the skill of animal husbandry.

While Brunar and Flint examine the small treasure, Kayne and Kiril keep an eye on the walls in case something unexpected is hiding. As the two men turn in opposite directions scanning the walls, their eyes fall on the same place at the same time and each man recognizes the outline of a concealed door in the southwest corner of the room, on the west wall. It is a short door, but a door nonetheless.

"Hm. You try to open it and I'll be ready to smash anything that pops out?" Kiril asks Brunar as he gets his iron maul out.

"He's talking about the door there," Kayne says, gesturing to the portal so Brunar knows where to look. "I'm sure Kiril would open it himself, but I'm afraid that in this case he finds himself a tad, erm, vertically disadvantaged?" Kayne's scarf shifts and his eyes narrow slightly, suggesting a smirk.

Flint scoops the coins into his pack for later going through, and joins the others.

"He can give me a hand, if he wants." Flint says, ready to take the helper role, despite his boast.

Brunar nods in agree with Flint regarding the treasure acting like he knows what he is talking about and since it is treasure, it must be good, right?! "I wouldn't mind takin' ownership of that there Holy Symbol of Abburdun? Eh, please?"

Brunar chuckles at the Warlock's jab at Kiril, "Aye, who would have known that about Kiril?!" Brunar opens up a bag for Flint, "I'll be right there to show the disadvantaged how it is done." Brunar laughs.

Kiril folds his massive arms across his chest, tilts his head to the side and stares at the small, almost impossible to see seems where the hidden door stands. Once he is sure he understands the build of the thing, he leans over (it is a small door after all, being only about three and a half feet tall) and shoves inward.

The door opens just as Sandy, Kristyd and Gwendolyn come slowly into the room carrying the light. The flickering light bounces around the room casting long shadows through the door, and Kiril sees several standing skeletons that begin to move toward him.

The Skeletons are slow to react after so many years of inaction and the party has a moment to get the jump on them.

It is a short door, a dwarf will have to bend his head, but a human sized person will have to stoop comply over at the waist to pass through. Or you could wait for the skeletons to come to you

Pulling out his trusty Belaying Pin (club) in one hand and his rapier in the other, Flint rushes into the room, his small size making navigating the passage as easy as any other doorway. He runs in without waiting for his allies to so much as flinch, swaggering like a pirate.

"Skeletons?! I'll have you! YAAAHR!"

Attack - club: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 bludgeoning.

Bonus action, two weapon fighting.

Attack - Rapier: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4 piercing.

Kiril gets his maul out and readies an attack for the skeletons to come out--"Oh hells," he mutters as Flint charges past him. The half-orc will try to duck/crawl in after the little guy and support him.

Round 1…
Flint hurries through the small door swinging one weapon wildly while drawing another, letting his drum slide around on its sling to bounce against his back. As his rapier knocks a rib bone away from the monster’s chest, his club smashes the thing’s hips, nearly shattering it completely.

His attacks break bones away from the first skeleton he meets, but do not bring the undead monster down.

The skeletons pause when the small halfling charges in. Kiril ducks down, bending as far over as he can while keeping his eyes up, and moves as quickly as he can to come in right behind Flint. When he stands, Kiril faces two Skeletons, and realizes he will need to force them back if any of the others are going to be able to join them.

Kayne bends over slightly to observe the situation through the door, and gets a brief view of Kiril standing close on the other side just before Brunar lets out a bellowing challenge and …
Brunar will you force your way into the room to stand next to Kiril?

A Skeleton attacks Flint

After centuries of inaction the Skeletons burn for vengeance against the living and their attacks are merciless.

"You excitable little c**%!" Kiril curses at Flint, but doesn't leave the halfling's side despite the horrific blows. In fact, being nearly killed seems to wake Kiril up, and he retaliates with frenzied strikes of his huge maul.

Brunar enters the room and looks to see if he can clubber something undead or is ready to heal if need be. "AYE, GIVE ME SOMETHING SKINNY TO CLUBBER!"

Flint's at 1 HP! Just sayin

Flint spits out a mouthful of blood as the skeleton returns his attacks, blow for blow. Flint circles around skeleton cautiously, a grin never leaving his pale face, blood dripping down his face. "You got this, big guy." he says to Kiril. Bonus action. Bardic inspiration on you, Kiril.

He drops his scimitar, and just as he does, the skeleton moves.

'Right where I want you!' Flint grins, swings around his drum around to his front and hitting it with his improvised sailor's club in a single smooth motion right as the skeleton nears him.

"LoFENE!!" he cries in time with his drum, and a massive blast of thunder emerges to catch the skeleton as it attacks him.

Casting thunderwave, the rest is all fluff. If possible, during my circling I want to catch as many of the other skeletons in my 15 foot cube my spell creates, without hitting my allies.

Constitution Save DC 16 for half damage. Failed saves take full, and are pushed 10 feet back. It also makes a very loud sound.

Noticing that Flint is severely injured, Brunar makes sure he has space and line of sight to save the halfling from going to down. He holds up his Holy Symbol, "Flint, feel the healing grace of Yerina Silver Hand!" At which time a white light surrounds Flint and heals him for.

Healing Word - 60': 1d4 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 3 = 10

My domain power is drained for the day, I can still use cantrips until we rest!

Kayne continues to wait on the other side of the opening, keeping an eye on the chaos just beyond. I hope they survive, some of them at least. It would be a pain to have to find new companions just now.

Brunar, who has come through the doorway, feels a spray of shattered bones fly into his face as
Kiril swings left, smashing through the chest of one of the skeletons scattering it to pieces. Kiril then swings right, and feels the heavy weapon pass within inches of another skeleton. Brunar sees Flint is badly injured, and with quick thinking extends a hand, fingers wide apart, as he throws a burst of magical healing at the halfling.

Brunar, I am a bit confused about your modifiers to the Healing Word roll, why is there a +4 and a +3? I admit I don’t have my rules with me right now, so maybe I am forgetting something. For now we will count the heal as 7 points

Moving as cautiously as he can, as the skeletons close in on the three of them, Flint reaches for his drum, and with a few words, he blast the skeletons in the room with a thundering magical eruption as the mallet in his hand strikes the drum’s head.

The shock wave from the drum drives three of the skeletons back toward the far wall, while the first skeleton, damaged by Flint’s attack, crumbles into pieces

Somewhat shaken by the magical attack, the skeletons lower their shoulders and rush at the heroes

Healing Word is normally 1d4 + your spellcasting ability modifier (+4 for Wisdom), the +3 is from Divine Domain (Life) feature - Disciple of Life (Heal extra 2 + Level (1) hps), hence 1d4+4+3 or I can make it 1d4+7 if you like? I just broke it down to show where the extra healing was coming from.

Brunar grimaces and retaliates with a swing at the skeleton who attacked him, "WHY I'LL MAKE YOUR BONIER THAN YOU ARE NOW!"

Brunar takes a moment to smash the skeleton that came at him, and cleaves an arm clean off the undead abomination.

Flint attacks another skeleton but is aghast when his rapier passes right through the open rib cage.

And the Skeleton crumbles to the floor,while across the way, Flint strikes a critical blow shattering the back bone of the last skeleton.
