Yum yum, fresh halfling sushi. YUM YUM! ... :-)

As Flint takes a few cautious steps into the room to examine the remains, he gets a funny feeling that he is being watched
Surprise?: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Flint is surprised by a Giant Tick falling off the ceiling. He can attempt a Perception or Intuition Skill Check in the split second before it falls on him to avoid being attacked. The Dc is 14. He must choose only one of these Skills to attempt to avoid the surprise attack
Brunar Battlemender
"Woah! Flint has a big ugly friend that looks like a ... big tick?! What's that a vamp dog?!" Brunar gets ready to attack.
Flint of Iron
oh S***, perception check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
(booyaah!)
Flint rolls to the side as the tick comes down, avoiding the first legitimate large blood sucker he's yet seen in this place.
" Oh S!**!" He says, barely avoiding the beasty. " Oh S!..." He says again, realizing he now stands in the middle of the suspicious bones.
Generic Dungeon Master
A giant tick falls from the ceiling aiming to land right on Flit, but the small halfling looks up suspiciously just at the right moment and leaps out of the way. The bug scurries toward him, looking for a meal
Kiril squints his eyes trying to see what made Flint jump and he spots a huge insect, almost the size of a house cat, scurrying toward the halfling.
Monster Initiative: 1d10 ⇒ 3

Round 1…
The small, but still huge insect gets the jump on Flint and tries to leap onto his leg with mandibles snapping
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Flint tries to block the monster’s attack with his drum but the bug is too quick and bites onto Flint’s leg below the knee
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Flint must drop what he is holding and attempt a Strength Ability Check, the DC is 10. If he fails, or does nothing, the tick drains an additional d4 hp in blood this round. If he succeeds he rips the tick off of his leg.
Flint – takes 4 damage
Brunar Battlemender
Can the tick be hit without making Flint shorter?
Brunar Battlemender
"BAH! Stop trying to make love to it and cut the darn thing!" Brunar takes a swing at it, "ARRRR!!!"
ATTACK: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
DAMAGE: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Brunar's mighty swing was going to land true but the handle twisted in his hands before hitting the tick. Although the blade does not make full contact with the Tick's skin, he is able to still make the tick bleed.
BAH! Now I am trying to tickle it?!"
Flint of Iron
Taking 1 damage
"ACK! Stop hitting it! It's like a flea!" Flint yelps. "YOU!" he says, pointing a nearly accusing finger at Kiril, as if blaming him for something. "Tear this thing off of me! I swear if you try to stab it while it's still on me I'll haunt you!"
Bardic inspiration on Kiril. Also giving advantage to ANYONE WHO TRIES TO TAKE THIS THING OFF!
Grinley
Staying outside of the room, Grinley will peak his head in, and shine his flaming light up towards the ceiling to see if it help to illuminate any other concerns which may be crawling around on the ceiling.
Kiril Hoxha
Having spotted the tick as it scurried towards Flint, Kiril was already in motion. When he reaches Flint he grabs the little beastie and tries to rip it free of Flint's leg.

Kiril- You don't have to chose the BI until after you roll. If you think you rolled high enough BEFORE you apply the BI, you can save it for a future roll. It lasts for 10 minutes and YOU chose when you want to use it.
It can be added to attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws. At your leisure, after you roll but before you know the result.
Generic Dungeon Master
Brunar runs at Flint as he calls out for help, and manages to smack Flint on the leg hard enough to hurt the halfling, but not hard enough to kill the giant Tick fastened to his leg.
Grinley leans in through the threshold and holds up a flame, casting his eyes to the ceiling he looks for more bugs, but sees none.
Kiril knows what must be done and is already in motion as the others struggle with the situation. Dropping his weapon, Kiril bounds into the chamber and takes hold of the tick with both hands, tearing it away from Flint’s leg, ripping the bug’s body off of its head as he does. The sucking of Flint’s blood stops instantly.
Flint scrapes the head of the tick off his leg with a drumstick, and looks at the wound.
Flint must pass a Constitution Save, the DC is 10
Kayne Aetherax
Intelligence: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Kayne looks on as Kiril rips the tick from Flint, and as the halfling scrapes the creature's head off, the warlock polishes his gauntlet on some cloth. "You may want to watch that," he comments. "Disease seems likely."
Flint of Iron
intelligence: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Con save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
"Ch! I know..." Flint responds to Kayne, and nearly immediately forgets about the wound.
He then starts kicking the bones at his feet away from him.
Brunar Battlemender
Brunar cuts it again to make sure it is dead, "DISGUSTING FILTH!" Then he flings the blade at the wall with no one nearby to get most of the goo off. "I will help you with your leg Flint. I don't see any disease yet. Unfortunately, my Goddess has not given me her power to remove disease."
Flint of Iron
"Huh?" Flint says, distracted by Kirin and Brunar from the bones he's clearing from around him with a focused resolve. "Oh yeah, massive." he dismisses. "Can we stop talking about my legs now?"
Flint beings looking around the room, occasionally pausing to rub at his sore leg when he thinks no one is paying attention to him.
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Brunar Battlemender
Brunar nods, "Aye, at least in didn't bite ya in the walnuts or the face."
Generic Dungeon Master
When Flint kicks the corpse he watches as the bones scatter apart, but notices that the leather armor is still strong and intact.
He doesn’t see anything of value, other than what appears to be a truly good set of leather armor, sized for a halfling, which is made of a hard boiled leather chest and back piece, with softer, but still heavy leather arms that come down to the elbows. The lower part of the armor is several hard thick sections of leather hinged together into a sort of skirt that is held up by a strong and versatile belt set with several small iron rings.
Finding nothing else in the room of value, the group moves back into the hall and examines the doors across the way to the north.
Flint of Iron
"BACK UP ARMOR!" Flint says, shaking the skeleton feverishly out of it and giving it a once over.
Checking to see if it is magic or special in any way.

Kiril Hoxha
Kiril chuckles at the halfling's excitement and gives him a moment before going to the opposite facing room and kicking the door in.
Grinley
Grinley picks up the skull and kicks the scattered bones into a pile. The small dwarf holds the skull up to his face at eye level and stares at it briefly. Once content that the skull has nothing to whisper to him, he will place it gently atop the bone pile, and will then follow behind the others as they move on.
Brunar Battlemender
Brunar chuckles with Kiril, "Poor guy, first abused by the tick or something then by Flint."
Terquem
As Flint stashes the extra armor as best he can, Kiril strides back into the hall, directly across the hall he marches, and doesn't pause for a moment only lifts one foot into the air and shoves the next doors open.
Sandy hustles to keep close to Kiril, so that the light is always near him, and when the doors are opened Kiril looks in and sees a bare, empty room
Flint of Iron
Actually, if it turns out the armor just appears normal, since we're right near our little hideout, Flint would suggest we go there. Since the room is empty, I'll not argue the point and just declare that he does that while the others check it out.
Brunar Battlemender
Brunar comes up to Sandy and Kiril, "What about hidden doors? Who's good at finding those?"
Generic Dungeon Master
When Kiril discovers the next room is empty, Flint suggest a quick run down the small corridor to the south and through the secret door into the hideout, where he can stash the extra armor. Kiril agrees, and leaves Brunar in charge of the group while he and Flint, taking Kristyd with them.
Carefully maneuvering to the corner of the intersection, the three step over the pit trap and hustle down to the hideout.
Brunar asks if it is worth searching the room for secret doors, and Sandy holds up the light as she follows Gwendolyn into the large room.
A few moments later, Kiril, Flint and Kristyd return just when Gwendolyn has found a secret door on the north wall of the large empty room
Flint of Iron
"Someone found a secret door?!" Flint yelps, eyebrows kitted. "About time! I was afraid that without any pointy-eared scouts, we'd miss every single interesting thing. Good job." Flint gives Gwendolyn an approving nod.
Then he arches an eyebrow. "Is it trapped..?"
Gwendolyn Wulfenhelm
Gwendolyn steps back from the wall, and shrugs at Flint and Kiril
Thanks, she smiles, and then says tilting her head to the side a little bit, Trapped? I don’t know. How do you tell. I guess there are little things that might give away a trap, like if it was a fire trap, or ice, or something magical, but I really don’t know what to look for.
Flint of Iron
Flint shrugs at Gwen. "Dunno. I always left that to more patient people."
"Works for me!" Flint says to Kiril. "Better you than me."
Don't forget your bardic inspiration, it's probably good for a few more minutes. You know, just in case you get hit with a trap and need a bonus to a save.
Brunar Battlemender
Brunar shrugs then shakes his head, "No pointy-ear fellows nor anyone who had a slight run in with the Shire Reeve? Oh well, hopefully the trap does not kill Kiril out right? Healing we can do, raising the dead, we can't."
Generic Dungeon Master
While Kristyd holds a finger at her cheek, thinking about what to look for in
Searching for traps
Kiril leans over and shoves the small secret door to the side.
*TWANG*
A sound is heard
Crossbow trap aimed at door: 1d20 ⇒ 10
A large pointed stick flies right between Kiril’s legs, right below, his, well, important region. It sails through the room and smashes on the wall near the main door, breaking into pieces.
Beyond the door is a small room with a single heavy wool sack, crumbled on the floor in the center of the room. The sack appears to have some lumps.
Kiril Hoxha
"Close!" Kiril laughs. He goes to the wool sack, talking as he digs through it, "One of the newer 'Wolves used to go into battle with armored above the waist, but not below. Flapping around the whole fight. Crazy bastard. Said it distracted the opponent. Myself I never go into a fight without something protecting my legacy."
Generic Dungeon Master
Inside the large wool sack, which seems new, Kiril finds a belt pouch with fourteen gold pieces, forty three silver pieces, and twenty one copper pieces, a small knife (dwarven made, usually the kind carried on the belt, small in size, more for utility than for combat) and a pair of small wooden bottles. The bottles are heavy and feel filled with some kind of liquid.
The sack will hold four cubic feet of goods (it is a large sack)
Kiril Hoxha
After looking pleasantly surprised, "It's a fine healing elixir from the capital of Ar Toe. Thought it might be booze."
He recorks it, then packs them up.
Brunar Battlemender
"Aye Kiril, lucky you don't have to use it on your parts! And too bad it ain't Dwarven Ale?!"
