Day 6; Wednesday, approximately 12:00 pm: It is noon, the nineteenth day of Mergunum, the last month of the twelve month calendar year (the beginning of spring time)
The squeal of the rodents captures everyone’s attention. Kayne spins around and throws a bolt of eldritch energy at the dog sized menace nearest him and the blast gets between the rats and Kiril, stopping the big man from hitting the rats with his hammer. The bolt of magic sends a rat skittering away, smoke rising from its fur.
Brunar doesn’t hesitate a moment and rushes past Kiril to bring down his hammer on a giant rat’s head killing it in one blow.
Flint begins taunting the rat to his left as he prepares for the battle to come

With the last rat dispatched, the party looks around the room, calling for Sandy to bring up the light.

Day 6; Wednesday, approximately 12:30 pm: It is after noon, the nineteenth day of Mergunum, the last month of the twelve month calendar year (the beginning of spring time)
As Kayne explains away his mystical insights to Sandy and the others, Kiril takes a look at the rat nests. He gets a feeling that it would be a waste of time to search them all, and is drawn to a nest that seems to be not the largest or the smallest.
In this nest, Kiril finds something of interest
As the group mills about, Flint suggests heading back to the other end of the dungeon, and the corridor to the left, or what should be the west.

After Kiril grasps Brunar's formarm, Flint walks past and bumps Brunar's still held out fist, before exiting into the hallway.
"Hey, we still kickin' in doors? This is a lot more fun then it was with those elves that vanished the other day." Flint waggles his eyebrows at Brunar menacingly, still telling scary stories as the group walks. He waggles his eyebrows menacingly at the dwarf women, too.
"They were so careful, so cautious. Lot of good it did 'em too."

Kiril leads the troop an a quick march back down the central passageway of this level, and when he reaches the massive double doors in the center of the north wall, he pauses for a moment, points to left and then to the right, and then to the left again, as he reacquaints himself with his journey, and then turns to the left, headed for a set of double doors in the southern wall of the western passageway.
A quick boot to the doors, right where the come together forces them open. Beyond these doors is nothing but an empty room and a bare stone floor.
Dissatisfied with these results, Kirlil immediately proceeds further west, to another set of doors in the north wall. He places his foot against the place where the doors come together and gives a stout push. The doors only move a few inches and stop.
Peering cautiously through the partially open doors, you can see the area beyond is choked with thick spider webs. The webs are not small, and it is clear that the spider that made them must be of monstrous proportions.

Those are not normal spider webs. They look huge, and wet, I'm not even sure they will burn, and if they will how big of a fire we might be starting. Not to mention making a lot of smoke, and maybe alerting the giant spider or spiders beyond here to our presence. Maybe we should try hacking them away and sneaking in.

"Yeah alright, fine. Give me some space, I'll get it open," Kiril slings his maul onto his back and braces both hands on the door, the muscles in his back and shoulders flexing as he pushes against the door in an impressive display of strength.

Sandy holds up her light as high as she can, just near the doors, and in the faint scattered shadows in the distance you can see another set of doors on the far wall of this room.
On the floor there are three mysterious "bundles" objects about the size of a goblin wrapped in thick webs.
The webs become thicker toward the northeast corner of the room and the light does not penetrate into the darkness there.
The room itself is about forty feet square in dimensions.

These webs will not burn readily, and placing a torch to them creates a smolder, and thick smoke, but as soon as you remove the torch the web stops burning. You can cut your way through the webs. A successful attack roll, vs AC 8, with an edged weapon opens a path into the next 5 foot square, but if the roll fails, your weapon becomes stuck in the webs and you must spend time freeing it.
Will you cut your way through the webs to explore this room?
